  1. Everton have borrowed more money from 777 today, taking their exposure to over £200m. If 777 are unsuccessful they'll be wanting their money back sharpish, ideally before the end of the season so they can be deducted a further 9 points. You've got to worry for them, you really do.
  2. Absolutely. Some of the retro adidas footy gear is spot on, especially Bayern and Boca. I bought this a couple of years back;
  3. Talking of which, the school reunion episode of It's Always Sunny nails how shit reunions can be, and is fucking hilarious from start to end.
  4. I went to one ten or so years back and was a mixture of feelings, really. Some people I was happy to see, others had escaped my mind over the intervening years. Was good to see the good people doing well, some people had settled down and had families etc, and then there were the ones that hadn't changed since 1997, hammered at the bar, calling people all sorts of names to high fives from their mates and hadn't moved on in life at all, so it's a bittersweet experience. There was another one five years ago, which I swerved at the first opportunity.
  5. Took 'Ped' 14 seconds to get to the immortal '6 clubs' line. Fair play to him, but I bet he's dead disappointed as he was practicing in the mirror all morning and his PB was 5.2 seconds.
  6. Been picking up a few things online and from my Bloo friends, and things are looking grim for them in all honesty. All in all they have close to a billion of debt from Moshiri loans (£400m-£500m, some of which may be written off to put the sale through), MSP with over £100m, 777 close to £200m and other debts pushing the total further up. 777 need to top up the loan at the end of the month to help with running costs/wages etc but they've apparently announced that they won't unless the deal has been ratified, which it probably won't be. That'll push them perilously close to administration which incurs an automatic 9 point penalty and won't be appealed due to prior cases of the same outcome (Portsmouth springs to mind). Add the potential of another FFP points deduction (at least 6 points as per earlier in the season) and that's a minimum of 21 point deduction and administration for the year. Add all that into the mix that the price of the club was negotiated on where they will be playing next season, so if 777 are successful they get the club at a cheaper price, which would interest them. A brand spanking, new stadium to sell off and rent back for a club they've paid comparative peanuts for.
  7. Think I was 26 when I first joined this site. That was 20 years ago. The things that have changed in my life in the years since I found this place are plenty, but one thing remains............"Fuck off, Momo!"
  8. Picked one up the other night from Asda on offer at £25. Think I've nailed the pour on my fourth attempt. Trick was to take the can out the fridge and leave it for 45 mins so it's not ice cold, which apparently helps the mechanism to pump more gas into it.
  9. A very good mate of mine has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. Known him since I was 3, grown up together, same schools, been on holidays, attended each others weddings, kids same age etc. Lost 5st since December, was told yesterday he faces two rounds of chemo and a 12 hour operation just for starters. Absolutely fucking gutted. Cried in work when I was told about his diagnosis which he kept quiet from everyone outside of his family until recently. He's 45, great job, young family. Horrible, horrible disease.
  10. The difference is, we didn't have to pay back £160m in loans. Everton fans can cry arse all they want, buy the reality is with or without 777 their future is fucked.
