Not sure that we can congratulate Atalanta on forcing our players to underhit passes, stroll around like they were already in the final and this was just an annoying step to take to get there. Love this team but I was so pissed off at half time, expected it to get better in the second half and found it got worse. Atalanta played a system that the TNT team knew about so we should have expected it. And makING me listen to Steve MacfuckINGmanaman for two hours with nothING to show for it. Criminal.

The romantic in me says Alonso would be the perfect choice but the pragmatist says that he's had one outstanding season taking a small team to the league. The German equivalent of Leicester. It may also be a factor in Juergen finally leaving the club at the end of the season. We’ve questioned the effect on the players under weekly pressure to win and losing out by one point. What effect has that had on the Manager who has to deal with that under the knowledge that he is doing it the right way.
