  1. My Nan used to make boss puddings. Jam Roly Poly, Treacle Tart, Spotted Dick (no sniggering at the back), all the old suet stuff as well as Rice Pudding, Stewed Apple, pies, crumbles, you name it. Proper custard too. Real puddings, bloody lovely they were.
  2. Things that happened over 35 years ago can be thrown at you no matter how innocuous. She NEVER forgets.
  3. You saw Cooper destroy Patel? That's what I want Starmer to do to Johnson. It's not that he hasn't got the intelligence to do it, he obviously has and there have been times when he's pinned Johnson down, but there have been too many times when he hasn't picked up the ammunition and hit home with it, the first PMQ's after the Sue Gray report for example. I see your point mate and maybe I'm wrong but he's just not dynamic enough for me. There isn't enough fight.
  4. True. RLB would have been unelectable imo. I don't really mind Nandy but I thought Starmer would take Johnson apart. He hasn't. He's had his moments, just nowhere near enough of them. That business with the rag was the final straw for me.
  5. Like I said in a previous post, I'm no political know all, it just seems to me that Starmer doesn't shoot into open goals. A strong opposition in my opinion should be holding the government to account, something that seems to be lacking.
  6. You're right about Bercow, Hoyle has been absolute dogshit as speaker, certainly the worst one I can remember. I just feel that this softly softly approach is letting Johnson off the hook. If ever there was a need for a strong opposition it's now but we just don't have one. I dropped a bollock voting for Starmer in the leadership election, to say he's been disappointing is an understatement. We need someone who will fight fire with fire and perhaps then People might have a bit more confidence in Labour's ability to govern. Labour might be ahead in the polls just now but I'm concerned that lead will be eroded unless there is a more aggressive style of opposition to make an electorate gullible enough to buy Johnson's bullshit sit up and take notice.
  7. Which is very unfortunate as it means she's still alive.
  8. I'm no political know all but here's my two pennorth. The Northumberland bizzies investigation into Starmer and Rayner hasn't concluded yet. If they get FPN's and resign, I think if Cooper put her name forward she may well get voted in. She's certainly got the measure of them and won't fanny about like Starmer. Nandy and Streeting will probably put themselves forward as well and I favour Nandy out of those two. I have no idea who would put themselves forward for deputy although I think a partnership of Cooper and Nandy would terrorise the charlatans in the Tory cabinet. It seems to me there is a real lack of talent in the Labour Party at the moment apart from Miliband, Allin-Khan, Debbonaire, Dodds and maybe Thornberry, but as things stand at the moment Starmer is missing far too many opportunities to land a killer blow. It's not good enough.
  9. There's a reason why I don't use Twitter. It's a fucking cesspool full of uninformed halfwits and my blood pressure couldn't take it.
  10. A prime example of how the police/government/press liars in our own country fucked us over and continues to do so. Lying shithouse bastards.
  11. Bill Cash is 82 and still the horrible twat he's always been.
  12. Love Sadio, he's been a great player for us and I'm gutted he's going. It's a pity the way it's panning out but I think after his service to the club, which has been fantastic, he deserves to go with our best wishes. The front 3 he played in was one of the best we have seen, fast and lethal, just brilliant and we were priveleged to have seen it here, but sides evolve and I'm sure Jurgen has a plan in mind to bring continued success with Diaz, Darwin and Mo ( for how long he stays) with Jota and Bobby as back up, that's some front line. A bit more creativity in midfield, a decent back up right back and that's some side.
  13. It's a horrible injury, very painful. The base of my spine was black and blue. An x-ray showed there wasn't a break just heavy bruising. I got a lecture off the Dr about the dangers of skateboards. Didn't stop me though. I was straight back on it as soon as I was able.
  14. I came off my skateboard when I was about 13 and landed on the corner of a kerb right on the coccyx. Absolute agony. Couldn't sit up, lie down or stand for any length of time properly for weeks.
  15. The prostate examination must have been fun.
  16. A split johnny. Everton's trophy cabinet.
  17. Woke up for a piss one night a couple of weeks ago and managed, not for the first time, to kick the leg on the chest of drawers on the way back to bed catching my little toe. Hurt like hell. I caught it that hard it split the skin between toes and was bruised black when I got up. Then over the weekend I kicked one of the castors on the bed leaving me with a large blood blister on the tip of my big toe in the same foot. They reckon things come in three's. I can't wait.
  18. The lass who played WPC Leela Kapoor was much easier to wank to.
