  1. Isn’t Britain’s creative industry worth billions to the economy and one of the few remaining world class sectors? Spreadsheet cunt.
  2. “The old Everton is dying and the new Everton is struggling to be born: now is the time of monsters.Fucking boo!”
  3. Surprised you didn’t get elected when campaigning lad you’re so sincere and not at all condescending ever.
  4. I wish the Tory cunts would go this summer instead of waiting until they’ve scorched earth everything in sight till next year.
  5. Piece of Cake (1988) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0157239/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk 6 part mini series based on book of same name follows Hornet squadron as WW2 is declared and they’re deployed to France. Hi jinks in the mess and lashing of bulldog spirit. 8 give them a bloody shovel’s out of 10. Kodi users: in the add on Fido.K19 there’s tons of old series preloaded under classic TV shows.
  6. Link to loads of adverts from years gone by. -As Seen on TV Streaming services have taken over the way people watch TV at home, and as a result, the broadcast TV commercial has become a dying art. Luckily, the Internet Archive houses a collection of Classic TV Commercials, with almost 17,000 different advertisements dating back to 1949.- https://archive.us20.list-manage.com/track/click?u=38bd6154386f64fcd92204a25&id=11e445406c&e=7a27bcb322
  7. iPlayer programme on Pegasus spyware, too. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001j638
  8. I knew what you meant. The point of both GB News and Talk TV isn’t to win an audience to watch through the telly but to continually snip and post to socials to fuel the right wing gammons culture war online. Out of interest have you noticed Freeview channel 7 Liverpool TV runs Talk TV content when not showing its token local news stuff?
  9. As well as work with homeless people Crisis are working with refugee/asylum seekers and deal with the Home Office. I know you said she’s neither of these statuses but I’m sure they can offer some advice, and maybe a recommended a decent immigration lawyer. https://www.crisis.org.uk/get-help/merseyside/ The Unitarian Church on Ullet Road does outreach work with Asylum Link and would also be in a position to offer some advice. https://ulletroadchurch.uk/event/asylum-link-celebration Hope this is some help.
  10. “but gather together to greet the storm, tomorrow belongs to me !” Always worth a repost
  11. Connexions rep Can you drive a fork lift then?
  12. It’s the drama I’ve started watching but I’ll look out for the documentary too. Hugo Weaving as Douglas Jardine.
  13. Bodyline (1984) This was on one summer holiday mid 80s in the morning and hadn’t seen it since. Tells the story of Jardine, Larwood and of course Don Bradman and the Bodyline series. 9 bowled Shaaaaane’s out of 10.
  14. “Name one time violence solved anything?” ”World War 2?”
  15. https://pokmagazine.cargo.site/A-couple-of-cans-with-Wolfie Article is an interview with a graffiti artist. “One time I was painting a permission wall and about 9 undercover bizzies, dressed like they were typical Scouse scallies with their north faces and trackies on, came over to hassle me and I was just proper laughing to them about them trying to look like they’re da boys haha. From what I gathered they were the new graffiti team, lurking about gathering bits of evidence and intel on who’s painting around the city. If you’re out there doing illegal paintings with mates they deem it as a conspiracy or performing ‘organised crime’ which is nuts to me. I’ve been stopped by these before, even the same one who arrested me over 10 years ago, they just try to provoke you just to get a reaction so they have a reason to arrest you and take your details, I’m here living the cleanest lifestyle, don’t drink, don’t smoke, so yeah I just know not to rise to it on that level you know… It proper gets under their skin ahaha”
  16. Decent article about Liverpool MMA scene and the Next Generation gym. https://theface.com/culture/fighting-city-boxing-culture-photography-charlie-kwai
  17. Brilliant that. I’ve got a lot to catch up on but the pod is very listenable. I’m still trying to work through TraumaZone on iPlayer but the latest one I saw introduced the war in Chechnya mid 90s.
  18. The host of the podcast In Moscow’s Shadow was on the Beeb this morning, Mark Galeotti. https://inmoscowsshadows.wordpress.com/ I’ve started it from the beginning but it covers the build up to the invasion last year in later episodes. In his interview this morning he said the next generation of politician kleptocrats just want to get back to siphoning money into their pockets, buying up West London and chilling on the mega yachts.
  19. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-65843179.amp Article is about a B17 at Duxford. There’s only 4 airworthy examples left, 3 of them in the States, and they recently discovered some issues on their wings so the UK one was grounded for a time. Brilliant day out at Duxford. Looks like yesterday and today are the summer air show there.
  20. Watched The Plot Against America when it came out and really enjoyed it. I liked The Man In The High Castle and the what if angle etc. but The Plot Against America didn’t have any mad timeline jump stuff to get your head around so was a bit more plausible. Banshee is boss. You’ve reminded me I need to finish Snowfall so that’s the next watch. Finally set up a Trakt account.
