  1. I would. He's declining, injury prone and a cunt. If they slap their patented huge wages on the table to blow him away in the meeting, even better.
  2. Did you know Carvalho doesn't like women's football?
  3. You're giving Canada far too much credit here. We're shite. The US men's team is decent, probably around the 25-30 range in the world. I don't know what kind of revenue the men and women generate, but the pay should obviously be based on that.
  4. He was a good lad, to be fair. Clearly loved in the dressing room. Talented too. Just the mental side of the game which he clearly lacks. Was fairly obvious a decent club would pick him up and hope he does well at Villarreal.
  5. Absolutely crazy article on one of Joe's sons. Can't believe the life this guy has lived. It's really long, but I couldn't stop reading. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/07/08/will-hunter-biden-jeopardize-his-fathers-campaign
  6. I'm currently sat in my bed with blankets covering me, and I'm shaking in fear, anger and disgust at the thought of us not spending big this summer. Just the mere idea that we may end up with a positive net spend this summer is making vomit and bile rocket straight up my esophagus.
  7. Just bet the mortgage on Moanero to win this one.
  8. Euphoria is one of the craziest shows that has ever been made surely. Some of the subject matter seems gratuitous but the stories also make sense. I can't stop watching it. It's bananas.
  9. The concept of Lauren Southern is hilarious. People found pics that showed she used to date a guy that was of middle-eastern descent or black, I don't remember. It's like when people looked at Tomi Lahren's Twitter when she was in college and she had your basic white girl profile. Just looked like a regular dumb ass hot chick. How those two have managed to build and play this similar character and get all these horny over the top conservative losers to give them pretty significant legitimacy has been funny to watch.
  10. People saw Tielemans play at Leicester for 5 months and think he's a brilliant player, but real Ligue 1 watchers such as myself know his form at Monaco was often poor. Be careful before anointing him as a great midfielder just yet.
  11. Couldn't be that they've objectively been competent for the last few years. They need to either be shite or genuises.
  12. He hates the owners so he'll only stay 7 years, the same number of years he stayed at his beloved Dortmund and Mainz for. Great shout there.
  13. The US pretty much toyed with everybody. Better than everyone else by a massive margin.
  14. He might just be the worst announcer in the history of everything.
  15. Yeah, but this is a fuckup when you look at Lebron's championship window, which in all probability will be over in about 2-3 years. The Lakers were in clear "win now mode" with the Davis trade and the cap space in 2019, and now they are stuck with filling out the roster with role players and there's a team playing in the same building who are better than them. There's no one to get in 2020 either. This is a fail for the Lakers.
  16. @Pidge gotta give you credit, you were kind of right on the Lakers. They thought they could get Kawhi, they waited on him and now it's clear they never really had a shot. It will be AD, Lebron, Kuzma and a bunch of average role players. Not great. Clippers big favourites now with Kawhi, PG, Lou Will and they're still pretty deep even with the trade. Time to change the ava for me, but Kawhi will always be a legend for this season.
  17. Can't speak English yet? Release him from his contract. Sick of the cunt.
  18. Because like I said, just the fact that Ronaldo is considered to be at or better than Messi's level despite Messi's superiority shows that people don't really care about facts. Ronaldo has won trophies with Portugal, he's won more stuff recently. That's all people care about.
  19. True. Doubt people will see it that way, though.
  20. Ronaldo has surpassed Messi at winning stuff and for many that's all that matters. Rightly or wrongly, recency bias will make it so Messi's average tally in the second half of the 2010's and poor performances with Argentina are what people will remember, while Ronaldo has been collecting consecutive Champions Leagues and has started winning trophies with Portugal. That's why Ronaldo is even in this conversation to begin with because if you just watch them play it should be no contest.
  21. I'm just not going to believe that an ex-England player from that generation will become a good manager. None of those players saw/see the game like the elite managers do and they all seem a bit thick. Although, Lampard is meant to be smart, apparently. Lampard will get time because he has multiple factors going against him from the start and he's a legend, but it will very most likely end in tears.
  22. Messi is almost too good for his own good. Sometimes you watch Argentina and Barca and even though they have really talented players they all seem to defer to Messi to a fault and the attacking play ends up solely revolving on him. Ronaldo on the other hand has just been burying chances for the past 5 years and doing basically nothing else. It's worked better for him in the end than it has for Messi, despite the latter doing more for his team.
