  1. Yep - I’m thinking of mounting a campaign to have all L postcodes accepted. Shake it up a bit.
  2. ‘Near Liverpool’ is not exactly claiming to be the most pure scouser that ever lived to be fair. I was even born with an ‘L’ postcode but I’m not getting in to that argument. Can you imagine a situation where someone from America is explaining to us where they live ‘oh it’s a small village, this happened there that happened there and they’re flummoxed and in the end they go ‘it’s about 10 miles from the centre of New York City’ You’d be like ‘New York City is close enough you twat’
  3. My girlfriend is full ‘proper scouse’ and I’m a wool, we both live in Warrington now. We went on holiday and met people from America, Canada etc. When they’d ask where we were from I’d say ‘near Liverpool’ and she would basically crease up and accuse me of trying to say I was from Liverpool. To the point she’d get all excited and watch me whenever someone asked the question. She seemed to have difficulty grasping the concept that someone from 5000 miles away in California was looking for a nearest approximate to somewhere they’d have heard of and perhaps might find it odd splitting hairs over 10 miles. I asked her what exactly she wanted me to say and she went ‘just tell them you’re from the village’
  4. Poor kid. Doesn’t stand a chance with that as a parent. Needs to be removed from that situation as soon as possible. Clearly been pushed into it to fit the parent's agenda. It’s child abuse. Just as an aside, a friend of mine is a teacher at a high school and says the number of kids claiming they’re trans is on the rise. Says it’s definitely the new fad, always the ones who are attention seekers or have parents who are ‘exactly how you’d expect’.
  5. While never doubting what a great player he was I can imagine he’s pretty unlikeable and he comes across as arrogant. He’ll say the right things about not wanting to replace Klopp but don’t doubt he’d snap their hands off. Theres the stories you hear from the likes of Crouch guffawing on about how Gerrard and Carragher were ‘ruthless’ when it came to new players when they were the top dogs at Liverpool. Firing the ball in at them and ‘testing’ them etc and how some of the players would wilt. He seemed to think it was a good thing but I never got on board with all that. Sounded like bullying and counter productive as far as I’m concerned. Like others have said, it will also be the Keane type situation where he’s better than the players he manages and can’t understand why they can’t do what he’s asking. Didn’t he also want Hodgson? That should set alarm bells ringing.
  6. Last few episodes have been wank, I fume whenever it goes to black and white as it’s always shit. It’s just gone…..boring. Compare it to the episodes with the hit on Lalo’s compound etc and it’s now just artsy drone. Turning Kim from a blonde Goddess who looked like she could make a solid living as a dominatrix into one of the horrors that I see picking up their ghastly children at my kids school is basically a war crime. Fucking fuming here, it had best improve next week or there’s a letter going in to Points of View.
  7. I’d love a school reunion - love it. I’m aware of the fates of many of the cement heads who gave me grief and I would love to see them. One has somehow combined looking grotesquely obese whilst also resembling a late stage AIDS victim. I’d quite like to stand uncomfortably close to him to allow him to marvel at how kind the years have been. And then I’d slap his drink out of his hand whilst shouting ‘woooooo’ Ric Flair style at him. What a day it shall be.
  8. Match is good. POF is filled with the broken biscuits
  9. Apparently an acquaintance of my mate had a run in with a woman who had the family etching stencil car sticker, (the ones with ‘mum, dad, kids name, kids name’ etc over cartoonish figures) on the back window of the car. He then saw the car some time later, cut the head of the stencil of the woman off and scratched ‘soon’ into the paintwork underneath. Assuming it’s true I was equally horrified as I was in awe, part of me hopes it’s true as that is quality levels of cuntishness.
  10. She might just like huskier lads and he’s probably a sound guy. Good for him, only jealous cunts will say anything. And without sounding like a gaybo, he’s not a gargoyle, just heavy.
  11. I was at a party once over there and some lad came up to me and went ‘I hear you’re from England, what type of grass y’all got over there?’ I obviously thought he meant the devils cabbage but he meant actual grass like in the garden. I was flummoxed, couldn’t elaborate any further than saying ‘erm green’ Absolutely different world, I imagine he’ll be posting on a forum somewhere about how he met a dumb Englishman who didn’t even know what type of grass we have.
  12. We were on holiday the on holiday the other month and got talking to some Americans. It was surreal. I used to live there but had forgotten what just speaking with some of them can be like. The son was genuinely the thickest person I have ever spoken to in my life. We are talking a 15 year old Homer Simpson, fat as fuck. He was wearing those sort of wrap around Oakley sunglasses constantly and I maintain that was so you couldn’t see straight through his eyes and into the empty void of his skull. It was excruciating trying to get anything out of him, literally just had to shrug and walk off.
  13. Weird how it makes people see things differently. I thought the waiter looked like Howard and Fring was going to kill him and somehow use the body as Howard’s. The gay thing never occurred to me, I need to get with the times!
  14. If ‘Jim’ll Fix It’ was still a thing, I’d happily take being molested if it meant he could arrange for me to blast a cyclist into the gutter with a water cannon. Thinking about it, he could even sell me into an international sex ring if I got to shoot one with a stinger missile. As irritating as wasps at a picnic.
  15. I think having the vaccine meant my body dealt with the symptoms quicker than it would have otherwise done. I also believe it’s currently diluting down to spread more but be less potent, therefore making me believe that we need to just get on with life as normal as it will never be contained and it has to be accepted as as normal virus as a cold or Norovirus once vaccinated. I also believe that it’s 100% fine to be unvaccinated, I don’t think for a second you can spread the virus any more or less than a vaccinated person. However, if it comes down to a critical decision I think that someone who has taken the vaccine but still finds themselves in a perilous state should be prioritised over someone who hasn’t taken it. And I do mean with covid related illness. The next time you get found semi responsive with tights round your neck and an orange in your mouth, you’re welcome to the ambulance pal!
  16. Isn’t there an echo chamber you can peddle this bollocks and laugh along with like-minded misfits? What do you think the vaccine is designed to do to you? Also - if it was a conspiracy amongst ‘the elites’ - do you not think there’d be a few by now might have grassed or is it that ‘the lizards in charge’ have never had a couple of drinks too many and sidled up to a mate and said ‘don’t say anything mate but………’ ?
  17. That’s what I mean, weaker but more transmissible so infected numbers will always go up but I mean it’s generally weaker or so I always was led to believe (the basic science being’ that viruses want to survive so adapt to spread to more people without killing the host) so what are we supposed to do? We can’t keep locking down and isolating for something that’s getting weaker. My personal take is that we should live life as normal and the money that would be pumped into self isolation payments or business grants etc should be put into the healthcare system to treat those that do become hospital cases. If you’ve got a virus that is now a cold to 99. whatever % of cases it’s not logical to try to impose isolation, people won’t do it any more than they did when they had a cold. Im also all for vaccines and vaccine development, I got absolutely nailed by them but when I caught the actual plague I was fine within a few hours both times. They can boost me up every few months if it means less disruption to normal life.
  18. Numbers are high yes but at this point what can you do? It’s clearly constantly mutating to become more transmissible so beyond making the vaccines available what are people wanting and when does that end? That’s a general question and not a dig at anyone. Just wondering what it is people think should be happening, anyone think they need another lockdown / masks enforced / 10 day isolation for everyone in household etc or just acknowledge it’s there but get on with it and live like we do with existing cold and flu? I’m probably in the camp of carry on as best you can if you get it but keep going out to a minimum. I had a weird one the other week, tested positive feeling slightly unwell, bit of phlegm and a ringing in the ear. By the afternoon the test was negative and then felt fine and negative every day after. Really odd, maybe I’d had it the week before and the rest picked up the remnants of it.
  19. He’s already given the impression that he’s about as enthusiastic to go there as a condemned man is to go to the gallows. Absolute farce. It’s like being binned off by Holly Willoughby and told that you’re with Priti Patel now and you also get to pay over 10 million for the privilege.
  20. What percentage are we genuinely talking about here as I can genuinely say I’ve nobody in my family / friends / acquaintances group who are trans and don’t generally come across (ooer) them but it seems to be everywhere on the news, internet and papers? Why are they given such a massive platform when it’s an issue affecting proportionally so few people? The likes of that Willoughby person don’t help because they come across as so cretinous.
  21. I can’t even begin to imagine how cretinous you’d have to be to care about pronouns. I’ll admit that I cringe when I see people who include them on emails or even worse introduce themselves using them and make a mental note try to avoid them. Having said that, if Halifax or whoever let their staff put them on the badges if they want to that’s their decision. I’d die of shame though if I was forced to wear one announcing mine.
