Everything Everywhere All At Once. Saw this at the pictures at the weekend with the missus. As it swept the board at the Oscars it must be good right? Like One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest? Or The Godfather 1 or 2? Wrong. It was just incomprehensible shite. I thought maybe it was just me but it’s reassuring to see I’m not the only one who didn’t get it. Baffled as to how it’s won all those awards. Emperors new clothes syndrome with this amongst the critics I think. Although it’s visually impressive, the vital elements of having a coherent story are completely missing here.

I love Alive. The fact it is based on events that actually happened make it even more powerful. The way they shot the actual plane crash is fucking harrowing.

I switched off last night when I saw Oxlade Chamberlain coming on.
