Couldn't agree more.Personally, I could have used subtitles at time due to the volume level and the patois but it had me riveted right from the start. Gyllenhaal was brilliant, no two ways about, a stellar performance amongst an outstanding. I enjoyed it even more than Skyfall but I wish they'd just hold the fucking camera still more often. 8/10

Just had microsurgery to rejoin tendons and nerves in a couple of my fingers after bending the bastards so badly they tore across the top and down in the webbing of my left hand. My diet is mostly antibiotics and painkillers. I live on my tod 1/2 hour drive from the nearest town but it's illegal for me to drive for the next 6 weeks. Living on instant meals (no large bits that need cutting up) isn't all it's cracked up to be either. Try opening one of the bastards one handed, especially if they're hot. Missed being hunched over my computer at antisocial hours for two matches ina row - the first time I've missed watching live since streaming video. Having watched replays, I'm not sure if that was a bad thing. At least I haven't got worms

The Sweeney (2012) 1/10 Total load of steaming shite. Ray Winstone playing a caricature of Ray Winstone, so bad he makes Jason Statham look like Oscar material. Unintelligible dialogue, partly due to the shitty sound levels and partly to the mockney accents. All the guns hold about 50 rounds and the "heroes" hide behind plasterboard and wood to avoid being hit. Doesn't have any redeeming features (ie no tits) but is mercifully free of either a cameo or theme song by Dennis Waterman. It's too boring and predictable to watch and too noisy to have a kip through, go watch Bond instead
