    Riquelme was fucking class mate! Unbelievable on his day, he had a 3 or 4 year period between 2005 to 08/09 where he was unstoppable from midfield scoring left and right foot screamers. On to Quaresma he's obviously got talent just seriously lacks the mentality to succeed..I would think the Barca, Inter and Chelsea scouts know more than anyone on here about his talents or top teams wouldn't keep buying him. He's a potential bargain for someone if they can get the best out of him. Sometimes you don't need to sign the best players for a team to succeed..just the right player at the right time, Quaresma is very good at crossing so maybe he'd work for us with Carroll.

    Didn't see the game today but anyone who's watched them week in week out (or whenever live on LFCTV) will tell you they are a VERY good u18s team with some very very good prospects, why come on here slating young boys who have obvious talent just because of one bad performance, potentially knocking there confidence. I thought all the negativity went with Roy!! Replaced with rightful positivity since The King came back, maybe I was wrong!

    He's on Revista quite alot lately, he talks so much sense and seems to have a massive knowledge on football. He always makes alot of sense when analizing tactical play, obviously him and Rafa worked well as a team, they should patch up there differences before its too late, both Clough and Taylor always said that was there biggest regret.

    I watched 40 greatest cult heroes thing the other day on ESPN classic and Big Dunc was on there, I was suprised at how similar a player Carroll is to him, very similar technique too. I was going to say it but was afraid to get shot down on here ;)

    Rafa didnt ruin him, Lucas said on LFCTV that when he arrived Rafa gave him the choice of where he thought was his best position, role in the team etc and Lucas told him he would rather sit back and play defensive because he didnt feel as tho he was strong or fit enough to get up and down in PL. Its funny how Rafa's getting blamed for playing Lucas in the role he plays, but Roy, Kenny and the national team manager all still play in this role, if he was a better att mid dont you think at least one of them would play him there?

    Just wondering apart from what we got at youth team, who are the best 16-19 year olds in world football. Someone with the same hype as a Joe Cole at 16 or a fat Ronaldo at 16. Also where do our current crop compare to others around the world.

    Yea definately, someone who you know wont be intimidated by anyone, someone who you know if the game gets fiesty they will be the first in the there smashing people. It really inspires the other players an the crowd when things like that happen, Carroll will be good for the crowd when hes back, nothing like a striker bullying defenders to get everyone up for it, when Alan Smith was at Leeds in his younger days I used to love seeing him smashing up cb!!

    I havent read everything on here so he might have been mentioned, I wouldnt mind Johnson or Dann from Birmingham, theres no way in a million years either one of them would have been brushed off like Skrtel did earlier, good readers of the game too.

    He's a lying money grabbing twat. No reason other than money and the "promise" of trophies, lets hope Suarez can step up to the plate and think Fernando who? Someone made a good point on the radio earlier saying he heard a few years back that this was always his plan, he played for his boyhood club, then went to the only other team he wanted to play for, Liverpool and his next move would be more cynical than sentimental and move for trophies. If he loves the club like he claims he should give the new owners the summers transfer window to see how serious they are about the promises they made. GUTTED!

    If its true about Fletcher keeping him out of the Scotland team then there should be a re-think! He's making him look stupid at times, loving the nutmeg btw! Is it just me or is Fletcher the biggest cunt on the planet?

    I havent read everything in the thread so Im sorry if this has already been asked. I think Charlie Adam looks like a good creative player, someone who can move the ball quickly up the field to Gerrard, Torres etc, just wondering if anyone knows why he's only got 6 caps for Scotland. Thanks

    Haha funny enough my Chelsea mate says exactly the same thing! He keeps going on about all there youth players and Ive said wait till you see some of ours. He don't believe me tho saying if they was that good he'd have heard about them and they would have at least been on the bench this season. When they see Suso, the unknown Premiership fans will be in for a MASSIVE shock, time to unleash the beast!!

    We never seem to give our youth a chance, be nice to see Suso involved soon, he'll give all the fans a massive lift on his own just because of the potential and repuatation he's getting in youth and reserve level. He's VERY exciting, Chelsea have been playing Josh McEachran alot lately, I've heard that in the England set-up they rate him more highly than Wilshire. McEachran has a similar build to Suso aswell so if he's "ready" then why isnt Suso. As for Pacheco I just cant see the step-up in him, however much Id love him to I just cant see him, he's a bit like Scott Sinclair, in the Championship and Reserve level he looks a world beater, he just couldn't quite make the grade at Chelsea, he's at Swansea now and looks brilliant again. Maybe this is the case with Pacheco?

    Why is it? whats the point in having forum site when as soon as people say something which someone doesnt agree with its immediately ridiculous? I thought that was the whole point of this site, somebody says something then the rest debate whether or not (in there own opinion) what is being said is true. Grow up!

    I know it was probably wise not to but wouldnt you liked to have seen him just throw himself whole hearted into it and smashing Rafael up in the air, I know Stevie would have an even Shelvey (who I was very impressed with today, along with Kelly) would have. I'd like to see Shelvey in there for the next few games instead of Meireles tbh, he got a bit more about him imo, just set a good marker too for Kenny if he's willing to start the youngsters, something in which was, I think, a big downfall in Hodgson in the fans eyes

    I might be in a minority in that I actually cannot see what his roll in a team is, he doesnt create chances, doesnt score goals, doesnt really go forward with the ball and doesnt defend. He is technically decent but what does he use this "technique" for, I havent been impressed in the slighest by him and it is disgusting the amount of times he shits out of 50-50s. Just would like to know what anyone thinks he brings to the team.

    His decsions are actually beyond a joke at times, I dont agree either with all the bullshit about him being a "nice" man, I find him bitter, aggresive and rude. Also I find him as a bit of a bully always blaming the "lesser" players (without being patronizing) like with Northampton he blame the youth players, yesterday made a inept Konchesky look like a mug by needlessly subbing him, as if to say I can now blame you aswell. Why does he not say anything bad about Torres who has done fuck all for the cause, the best we've played in a while was Babel and Ngog up front, as soon as Torres is back he puts him straight in as if to keep him happy incase he leave, its as if the players have alot more power than him and he knows it. Could you imagine Ferguson playing someone in as poor form as Torres (I know Rooney is playing bad but they are still winning and can afford the luxary of helping him through it, we cant, we need results NOW) Roy needs to be stronger with the players, well actually he needs to fuck off for good. When is enough finally enough??

    No but anyone with a ounce of ability matched with a better attitude will do 10 times better than he is at the moment. For a start Barcelona wouldnt realistically take him especially the way he's playing and for that matter the way he plays, he's not exactly a renowned ball player. Man City would take him, maybe Chelsea and then noone else would be able to afford him or where he'd be willing to move. Don't get me wrong I love the Fernando of old it's just he's been missing for a while, I agree that he played shite for Spain in the WC too.

    Why get a temp in, its a decent scenario for someone to come in now, buy a few of there own players in Jan, gives them 8 months to get there feel for the club before next season starts. Also its a slightly less pressurised position to be in now because like me most fans have written this season off now so even top 8 will end up being a decent finish judging the way we are going at the moment.

    That is probably the only thing left to try with him now. As for giving him a run of games, its not by choice he doesnt get a run, its because he has always got a problem.

    Half a season? He hasn't had a prolonged period where he's played well for a few years now! Mate regardless of how well he plays (in patches) he's always injured or just coming back from injury and is therefore not "sharp". You could buy Messi, Ronaldo and Villa as our strikers but they would be no use if they are never fully fit. If anyone offers £40m plus I'd sell him and invest in a hungry player who has something to prove, ie Torres when we signed him!

    I haven't read everything about this so if this has been said, sorry in advance! I believe regardless of where we finish this season he should go, he just doesn't sit comfortably with me, he doesn't look and act like a man who's up to the job. If we some how managed to finish 4th then it just by default, I know we can only beat who's in front of us but the league has been so poor this season everyones beating each other. We are just 10points (i think) behind Arsenal now after the very poor season we've had.
