Honda is a decent player and a god in Japan so would be a good signing for us even if its just in revenue streams, I think Ola Toivonon would be a decent striker for us ...big lad and young. I also think both Honda and Toivonon would be within the required price range. Eden Hazard would be good but I have a feeling even though he is only 19 would cost a shed load

It all depends on if/how much cash we get to spend, its possible without the £20m of debt not being paid out, the squad could be given that, plus the Masch money (should be available ). Then sell a few players say Babel (8m), Lucas (5m) , Jova (3m) , Kuyt (5m) , Maxi (4m) , and a few others, could have 35-40m without the owners putting anything in, but ofcourse it all depnds on whether the money from non payment of debt, masch money so realistically it could be anything from 0-40m+ if the manager (hopefully not Hodgson) sells fringe players and gets rid of the older players. The problem is if you want a decent player then your going to pay for them, and lets be honest 40m will (if your lucky) only get you 4 decent players. I would also kinda copy the Arsenal/Man U idea of not buying players over a certain age say 27 as should it not work out the resale value stays roughly the same. Edit: Defour would be a good signing though again pricey! We need to look for players who perhaps are lesser lights (atm) and value for money, like Ricky Van Wolfswinkle/ Ola Toivonen could buy for around the 10m mark and should it work out great striker for years with a resale value!

MoN - no just a younger/mouthier version of Hodgson. Hiddink - good but perhaps too old now. Pellegrini - Good and available. Loew - Like I have said a few times I think he would be perfect. Rijkaard - Hard to say great at Barca (with ppl around him), but would certainly be an attacking side. I heard he can buy his contract out so could effectively go for as little as £5m (one years salary) as he has spent more than 3 years at the same club, only problem is he won't be able to move till the summer, but would recieve whatever fee personally, so say Madrid want to buy him for £30m, he would recieve the lot .

I would say Meireles but I have a feeling that was a Purslow buy. Actually the one thing he has given us is that he has united everyone in wanting him to go!

Aslong as Hodgson is here his value will go down, we are playing 8-1-1 and its embarrassing for a player of his caliber to be in that sort of situation, come next season if Roy is still here he will be gone and possbily for as little as £20m.

Tbh I would be pretty happy with a few mentioned above by George Costanza, Defour solid CM, Hamsik again another good shout the only problem is these players are all central players we need width, so Young yes but Martinez again another central player, I can't see them replacing Gerrard or Miereles (as he has just been bought). Players like Banega aswell good players and could play in DM but again abit like Masch no real goalscoring threat. Eden Hazard? So yeah all good shouts but I think we need genuine wide players, Striker Llorente sure but not sure Nilmar would settle.

The reality of it is we could ship out 15 - 20 players, bring in a few 4/5 new players and still have a few too many players .. last count was 57 1st team players into a squad realistically should only need to be 40 players (with younger players coming through). Its all well and good saying we need reserve players etc but surely that is where the young up and comers should be playing not the likes of Babel, Jova, Kyri etc, otherwise we will just end up with alot of Nemeth situations, pretty much wasted and shipped on (possibly could happen to Ayala aswell) feeding other clubs players. IMO if they aint good enough ship em out might sound harsh but its for the good of the club in the long run. EDIT: yeah Valencia are in BIG trouble atm thats why the deal is possible.
