  1. Brilliant decision, now I can go back to 100% hating everything about Chelsea, rather than having a soft spot for their manager. Neither he, nor Ancelotti, should've touched them with a bargepole.

  3. I prefer it when winning goals in finals come from unlikely players, the shitter the better. Hopefully this World Cup is decided by the ball bouncing in off a ricochet that hits Fabian Delph square in the face and dribbles over the line. If they're going to replay the clip for the next fifty years it may as well be funny too.
  4. That was Konoplyanka. Yarmolenko was the one who looked the better player though.
  5. The Sarri connection probably swung it for him. He knows he'll be a mainstay of the side, rather than one of many at City. Similar to VVD choosing us over others.
  6. Playing for that Stoke side, I bet their home fans alone have called him worse.
  7. Could go either way really. He stuck with Moreno because he couldn't find an affordable young LB as competition, but you'd have to think the GK position was deemed significantly different to that scenario. It's a bit like the VVD saga last summer. Klopp is willing to spend big once he finds the right player, but if not he'll persist with what we have. Meanwhile, most fans are exasperated at the thought that our scouts can't find someone who's simply better than what we currently have.
  8. Less than a month left in the window now. You'd have to assume we'll get our skates on as soon as the World Cup finishes.
  9. Yep, kind of an early present to myself. My proper birthday hat will hopefully be next week, when I visit my favourite hat shop.
  10. Finally picked up a diamond crown raffia pork pie for summer wear. It's a bit plain, I'd have prefered something with a nice coloured band, but it does the job.

  13. Wait until after a cold snap and then have a vote on the final deal.
  14. The problem I have with Maguire is when the ball's at his feet. Heading away long balls, tussling with strikers, he's good at, but when he's employed to actually use his feet and his brain he's more in line with the Skrtels of this world than the Van Dijks. Perfect for a back three or a deep line, but risky as hell in the system we play.
  15. We're fast approaching the stage of the transfer window where denials of interest in shite players are welcomed as much as genuine links to good ones. Never liked Grealish for much the same reason I dislike Tom Davies at Everton - to play with socks down you have to be something special, and neither of those lads are anywhere near that.
  16. I've not tried them, so I'll have to take your word for it.
  17. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bourbons (only the ones covered in sugar, mind) are a perfectly acceptable dunking biscuit if no other chocolate options are available.
  18. Yep, credit where it's due, the big lunk's won virtually every header he's gone for. It's like his massive head has its own gravitational field, pulling the ball towards it.
  19. Yep, I'm currently filching both Amazon Prime and Netflix off family members. Bit annoyed I have to pay for Spotify myself to be honest.
  20. Can't say I see much between the sides left in it. The best performances in this World Cup have coincided with a team being shite defensively, which tends to flatter - like Croatia and France vs. Argentina. Most of the other contests have been pretty even, hence the upsets. I'd make France slight favourites from here on out, but not by a huge margin.
  21. I thought we all agreed we were using "drama quim" now?
  22. My only suggestion is to not do what my dad did. Rather than go the medical route, he pushed his back in as best he could, then just took to strapping his belt tightly over it to hold it in during the day. It went black in the end and he needed surgery.
