What's Roy's history of giving youngsters a chance? It's safe to say we've had a lot of lads in the last few years that never got a crack at the first team. Pacheco, Shelvey, Ayala (ignoring the mistake today) and Kelly could all look to stake a claim this coming season. With our lack of funds to buy instant first-teamers they might be needed...

He's had the most experience of first team footy - albeit at a lower level. He looks the most at ease in playing with regulars (Gerrard, Cole, Cara, etc.)

He looks like he doesn't want to be out there - with this performance so far, we're never going to be able to sell him. Let's hope Aurelio is over his injuries because I am not happy about Insua playing in the first team. If it's possible he looks worse than he did last year.

Why was the cunt commentating talking about Carra's lack of pace? WTF has that got to do with the goal? It was a piss-poor touch by Ayala after a stupid pass by Cavalieri. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think it was the way he was played out of the position (he thinks) he's best in. He wants to play up top and, if Roy wants to go 4-4-2 then he might give Babel a shot at claiming the position alongside Torres. I haven't seen much of Jovanovic but he could do this too, from what I've heard. The other option is to push Kuyt up as a striker... :shudders:

I use UseNet Explorer for Giganews newsgroups - all works really well. UE cost me about £30 per year for the license and support and Giganews is around £100 per year. Loads of music, films, porn, warez, etc.

That sounds really good Simbo - I am trying to create something original too. Maybe work in the initials of my two boys somehow. Any chance of a photo? I don't want to steal the idea, just trying to get as many different ideas in my head so I can make mine unique (or a collection of bits of other people's).

The result is not the problem here imho. Most of this team was kids and fringe players - as you say losing to a Bundesliga team on their own patch isn't that bad. Good experience and fitness, etc. The thing that concerns me is that the team yesterday included 1st team and backups and they looked unimpressive. Lucas is a regular and, with Mach prob going, is still going to be regular this season. Jovanovic is certainly in the match day squad - 1st eleven or not. Cavalieri, Ayala (if Kyrgiakos or Skrtel leaves), Darby or Kelly (assuming Degen sods off) and Ngog are our backups to the first team. What is troubling is that this game (and I know it very early in pre-season) brought home how thin our squad is because most of those are not ready for a long run in the team if needed - think Insua last year. It is not all doom and gloom and we've got some good lads coming through but they need lots more time and I hope we can give it to them without having to rely on them. (We still need a left back - Darby or Kelly ready for a full season?)

Villa went for €40m FCBarcelona.cat Not bad for a 29 year old. Now Torres is only 26 and is wanted by the 2 richest clubs in the world (Citeh and Chavs). What is he worth to us? Let's start the bidding at £50m and see how far we get. I don't want him to leave, as he is one of the best strikers in the world. But, if he does decide to go, we've got to get as much as we can.

Lol. Looking at some tattoo son the internet I'd better check that they get L.F.C. right. Thanks for the advice. One more question, there's a couple of tattooists near me and I don't know anyone who has used them. Other than going in and looking through the books, is there any way of telling which is the best? I mean, anyone could have drawn that for them. Sorry, like I said I've never had one before and I don't want it to look shit because they're talentless.

More photos needed - I am deffo gonna get one (mid-life crisis and all that) and want some ideas. I'm thinking of Liverbird, European Cup and 5 stars in some design. Maybe 'You'll never walk alone', too in some bizarre script. I've never had a tattoo before - is it best to get the tattooist to knock up a couple of designs or go in with one?
