Not sure where the papers are getting a figure of 15m from. Considering he is out of contract in the summer he command a fee more like 5-7m tops. I think there are better players out there too in a similar situation to Sturridge who have proven themselves (Huntelaar, Llorente etc.) in their careers. I think our limited January budget could be better spent elsewhere imho.

Is it looking positive that we are getting Krasic. He looked a great player for CSKA although from what I have read, he has only played once for Juve in the past month or two. Would add natural width to our side which I would be happy with.

What was the original plan for capacity under Cancer and aids just out of interest? 57,000 would be great and it would be nice to hear some news on the stadium front but I am not getting too excired just yet as I fear this is a fake. Hope I get proved wrong mind.

I totally agree that we need a very good winger and a top class finisher. Some of the names you mentioned in the list such as Cavani/Hazard would be difficult to bring to Liverpool as they currently have Champions League football. However players like Shaqiri and Cardozo would be players we could easily tempt to Liverpool with no disrespect to Basle or Benfica - we are bigger clubs than them. Same with Marin.

Saw Coates when watching the Copa America and he was a beast - reminds me of Diego Lugano a bit and I think he would be an excellent signing for us. On a seperate note, Liverpool have come such along way in less than a year. We have signed some really good players this year who have improved the overall squad and depth. If we do get a CB (either Cahill or Coates) and maybe another striker, then this will have been an excellent summer for us.

Just seen on twatter (SkyGraemeBailey) that Cristian Zapata has revealed he is close to signing a deal with Liverpool. That would be a boss signing - hope there is a bit of truth in it.

I think he signed for Anzhi in Russia for €14 million over the weekend. Apparantly they were the only team in for him as well.

I watch a fair bit of German football too and I think Marin would do a decent job for us. Plus he is quite young still at 22/23 so is not the finished article. His performances this season as mentioned in this thread have been not as good as past seasons but I think that is down to Bremen having a poor season. I agree with Red House comments about Chinedu Obasi from Hoffenheim and I reckon he would also do a job for us. I think Carlos Eduardo moved to Rubin Kazan too but he would of been immense for us!

Bernard Diomede, Bjorn Tore Kvarme, Jan Kromkamp, Bruno Cheyrou, Antonio Nunez and Christian Poulsen were all bad for me. However the award goes to Paul Konchesky who is proper wank - fact.

Wasnt sure that he would be the right person to take Liverpool forward when he took over in January but I have been proved woroing. What he has acheived in the short space of time to actually put us in a position where qualifying for the Europa League is in our own hands is amazing and he has brought the buzz back to the club. Well happy!! Bring on next season!

I know all this is speculation that he is looking to leave but I think if he were to move then it might be to At.Madrid. I am sure I read somewhere in the past a couple of years back that he wanted to play for them at one point in his career as his dad played for them one time or another. Might of been mentioned when we played them in the Champions League or something. If De Gea does leave then they will have the cash to sign him from us maybe. Would be happy if we signed Steve Mandanda or Samir Handanovic who looked decent at the world cup.

Juventus agreed a fee they will pay us if they want him permamently after the loan expired. Its in the loan contract. End of. Pay up or send him back. They should be happy that they sold Poulsen to us for £4 million.

What are footballers coming to now a days and who do they think they are? Rooney, Tevez and now Torres? Who do Agents think they are trying to instigate a move for their clients while they are under contract? It’s a disgrace but it seems to be the norm now a days. Footballers should be grateful they play at the highest level, earn loads of money and are idolised by millions of people. The bottom line is Torres has 3 and a half years left on his contract and he should be made to honour it. He wants to win trophies, stick him in the reserves and let him help them win the league. He wants to play in Europe every season – well the reserves play in Holland and Belgium every pre-season. I used to respect him but now loathe him for the timing of this and for the quotes he came out with on the 10th Jan this year. Rant over. To be honest I would rather him gone and we get in a couple of quality players if possible this transfer window who want to play for the club and help the team back to where we belong in the longer term. No one is bigger than Liverpool.

The Liverpool FC Supporters' Committee will consist of 17 democratically appointed fans who will represent all of the major stakeholder groups amongst our supporter base. The Liverpool FC Supporters' Committee will meet four times a season at Anfield with senior Club staff - the owners will be present for at least two of the meetings - to discuss the issues and ask the questions that most affect them and the fans they represent. The minutes of each meeting will be published online and in print for all of our supporters to read within 48 hours of the meeting ending. The initial aims 1. To establish a forum for supporters to communicate directly with the Club in a structured manner 2. To help the Club better understand the issues that most affect and concern our fans 3. To give the Club an opportunity to explain the thinking behind key decisions 4. To enable fans to play a key role in helping the Club achieve success on and off the pitch 5. Each individual will be contactable via Private Messaging and be able to solicit feedback and questions from fans they represent and also post updates after each meeting. Each Member of the committee will be required to attend four meetings at Anfield per season and will remain on the committee until May 30, 2013.
