  1. Anyway, back to the topic at hand, Manchester City - a bunch of cunts.
  2. Himself and Ian Wright tipped Spurs to beat them on one of those Premier League preview shows last week. It was hosted by Kelly Catrs if I remember correctly. Probably trolling them - good on him
  3. At least he is being played up top instead of on the wing this season. He offers very little from the wide positions IMO
  4. To be fair to Barnes he had 75 goals in 179 games until his bad achilles injury and moved back to midfield so the 160 fewer games is a bit of a misnomer. Even still, Sadio has had a better goalscoring record than Barnsey in his prime. Mané scored 81 in his first 170 games for us. We are being spoilt
  5. I genuinely think that Klopp would play Gomez and Milner ahead of him, at RB, in a big game so was comfortable for him to go on loan and improve. Whether that is to sell him or to integrate him as bac-up RB will depend on Neco, I suppose
  6. The past 2 weeks have been a game every 3 days - Thursday, Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday so it was right that Klopp made a few changes. Only Alisson and Van Dijk have started the 4 games. There is 4 days before the Leeds game and 4 days break before the final so I expect that a lot of the so-called first 11 will play both.
  7. Tsimikas's right legged twin would be perfect Edit: I hope I didn't fuck up the apostrophe or I'll either be negged or worse, someone will tut quietly to themselves.
  8. Rumours are that he wants to play. Fair play to the lad, he won't play or develop much behind Trent so he probably isn't the answer.
  9. The ref was excellent, I agree but surely we need to mention Salah being through with 2 seconds left on the clock and he blowing for half time. Mo was disgusted.
  10. You forgot to mention that Virgil Van Dijk was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. He was like an 18 year old playing an under 14 match at times. A monster of a player.
  11. The Jasyn shit I agree with but Marc is an Irish (and European I think) name.
  12. Agreed. The MFer needs to be able fill in for Fabinho in the holding role. Henderson can do it but isn't as effective and none of the other 7 can. Morton or Milner are the only options after that.
  13. They made a similar point on Irish radio tonight - Off The Ball on Newstalk - tonight. The presenters agreed that they very seldom watch City and find them boring but also that Sky very rarely have City on at 4.30 Sunday evening, their high profile game of the weekend. If they have them on at all, it's the Saturday evening game or BT show them lunchtime Saturday. They seem to have played a lot more at 3pm Saturday than champions usually do. I presume Sky know the numbers and Liverpool, United and even Arsenal have a greater fanbase and viewing figures but also the average Joe would prefer to watch Liverpool's style of football or United, hoping they lose so they can have some banter with their fans in real life or on social media. City are just "there".

  15. Conceded 2 in our last 7, including a consolation v Cardiff in the Cup. We don't seem to be as open since the Chelsea game on 2nd January.
  16. Mourinho tried to sign Maguire the sumer before Solksjaer did. Mourinho would have got him for 50-60m but the board baulked at the price. Understandable as he had just spend 70m on Bailly and Lindelof. That was one of the big reasons Mourinho fell out with the board so he left and Solksjaer was given 130m to buy Maguire and Wan-Bissaka. I'll type that again for the fun of it. Manchester paid 130 million pound sterling for Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Wow
  17. It's like when Big Ron threw piles of money at the nom du jour in the 80s to try and win a title and they all turned to shit. Terry Gibson, Peter Barnes, Garth Crooks, Laurie Cunningham, Alan Brazil, Peter Davenport all signed in a 3 year phase. A bucket of crap/busted flushes
  18. Only 2 goals, 1 assist in their last 13 though. Definitely not suited to Ragnick's style
  19. They have a better first eleven? We have a better GK, defense and our 3 forwards are better than theirs. Maybe their 3 MFs are better than ours but that's it. Their bench is: Steffen Ake Stones Zinchenko Fernandinho Gundogan Jesus Grealish and a bunch of kids Ours is: Kelleher Gomez Konate Tsimikas Keita Elliot Jones Ox Minamino Firmino Origi Diaz.
  20. Either Gomez or Milner make the match day squad as they are the RB cover. Origi, Taki, Milner (or Gomez) and Ox will probably lose out. I think that may be why Minamino was brought on last night as he may not make the 20 on Sunday.
  21. Allison Trent Konaté VVD Tsimikas Elliott Fabinho Henderson Salah Firmino Jota Mané to play 30 minutes. Ideally we go a couple ahead early and Trent, Fabinho and Jota get subbed off early. Matip, Robbo and Thiago get a rest for Inter and Salah, Harvey and Henderson give fresh legs. Thursday night to Sunday afternoon turnaround is as short as it should get.
