  1. More blood on their hands. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/nex-benedict-dead-oklahoma-b2499332.html
  2. SNP motion should’ve been voted on. Keir Starmer has been bought and paid for by the Israel lobby so he effectively did a “that’s a nice job you’ve got there. Be a shame if something happened to it…” style shakedown on Hoyle to get the SNP motion shelved as Starmer didn’t want the truth to be told re: Israel’s illegal acts of “collective punishment” which was part of the wording of the SNP motion.
  3. That’s proper bare bones tonight. Fuck the performance. Just get the 3 points. A nervy, scrappy 1-nil will do. On another note, the lad on our bench, Danns, I used to play footie (casual - jumpers for goalposts stuff) with his granddad in Sevvy Park. And his dad played with us once too. When he was about 10. And he was amazing. Just skinning older lads and blokes for fun. He made it as a relatively mid-level pro (Neil Danns - started with our youth team then played mainly in the Championship/lower leagues for the likes of Blackburn, Palace and Leicester and now Tranmere’s assistant manager) which goes to show just how shit hot you’ve got to be to make it in the very top leagues. And, also could be one for the signs you’re getting older thread!
  4. Horrible story on the BBC news now. An IDF raid to rescue 2 hostages ended with an innocent family of refugees living in a tent nearby struck by shrapnel which killed the family figurehead; a 32 year old father of six, created a widow at the age of 27, caused their 12 year old daughter to suffer severe trauma from watching her father die and caused another daughter, 13, to lose an eye. I hope even more of the genocidal, murdering cunts get their faces burnt off.
  5. I’m still all in on Alonso but the noises around him going to Bayern are worrying. As stated above, it’s a big job but he’d be up for the boot if he lost a few games. I don’t see him getting the time and sheer, unadulterated love that he’d get if he became our next manager. If not Alonso, it’s not that appealing a choice. De Zerbi and Tuchel can go swivel. Some journo suggested Roger Schmidt the other day and said he was “Klopp-lite.” Nah. Not for me. If not Xabi, I’d like us to be looking at the likes of Nagelsmann. Or, lately, the likes of Inzaghi or a wildcard like Thiago Motta have increased in appeal to me. The latter seems to be doing wonders with Bologna.
  6. It’s not all bad news. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13103857/Israeli-Netflix-actor-Idan-Amedi-starred-IDF-drama-Fauda-posts-pictures-horrific-injuries-left-unrecognisable-caught-blast-fighting-Hamas.html
  7. That Winehouse thing was disappointing to see. Given her character, you’d imagine that she’d actually be against the mass slaughter of Palestinians if she was still around.
  8. My work is done. The words speak for themselves.
  9. I’m merely showing that the framing yourself as a champion of women and fighter of misogyny and violence against women is a complete facade.
  10. You’ve got to be fair to Stronts though. He’s always stood up against misogynistic behaviour and violence against women. Well, almost always…
  11. Ewen MacIntosh - Keith from The Office - passes, aged 50. The family statement gives thanks to a care home that offers palliative care, so it looks like he must’ve been quite poorly.
  12. The story is from a paywalled article, so haven’t been able to read it all. I’ve had a look on Twitter and some are giving a less dramatic summary of the story, saying that they’re both out for Luton but then it will be assessed on a day to day basis to see if they’ll be available for the final. That sounds a bit more promising. Just!
  13. Paul Joyce in The Times is apparently saying that Nunez and Salah are both doubts for Luton and the Carabao Cup final.
  14. It’s nice to see where we stand on here. Calling someone a “jew-hater” without evidence is hunky dory, but calling someone a transgender hater, allegedly without evidence, is a pearl clutching defamatory act. Alrighty then…
  15. The bit with the chemist girl was strange. Unless she’s decided that she didn’t want to live the life of a gangster’s moll and moved to another chemist/told her colleague to run with a blag story for her. The bit when she saw Michael’s bulletproof vest hanging up seemed to shock her a bit. I wasn’t fully sure of Birdie’s position in the family but I didn’t think she was in a relationship with Frank. Wasn’t his gayness pretty much in the open or at least known by all the family?
  16. It’s a tough one. It’s ludicrous and offensive to compare the holocaust to what the IDF are doing. But, on other things, it’s also ludicrous to lie to yourself and deny what your eyes are showing you. It’s hardly a surprise that two violent, far right wing, racist regimes will have some overlap at times.
  17. Klopp is doing his press conference now and was asked about injuries. He named the obvious injuries and said “a few others” but he didn’t specifically say that Salah is injured. It looks like we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see.
  18. Boxed off the second series of this yesterday. Bren Kinsella is one obnoxious fucker, ya windy cunts!
  19. I always had him down as one of their more creative and dangerous players, and while he got the assist from the corner, McNeill was absolutely awful today. Kept on playing it back to his full back or inside and made next to no effort to have a run at his full back. Terrible.
  20. This has to be one of the shittest games of the season. Awful football. Flat atmosphere. And Alan fucking Smith as co-commentator. The only slightly positive thing is that that Wharton looks a decent, tidy player.
  21. The Portuguese press are saying that he’s avoided a serious injury but could still be out for up to 2 months.
