  1. 1. Torres - great goal and he seemed up for it (still not fully fit though). 2. Reina - played a big role in the goal. 3. Poulsen - a couple of misplaced passes but overall I felt he had a calming influence in midfield and he seems to be getting used to the pace of the league. Honourable mentions to Stevie and Maxi.
  2. Hasn't got involved in the game much but he did pass a delightful throughball only for the striker to fuck it up.
  3. If Roy keeps making signings like these, he's going to lose all the goodwill that's been built up these last few weeks.
  4. I think Gulacsi should be our second goalkeeper. Pacheco, Shelvey, Kelly and Wilson should be pushing for a first team spot, Sterling and Suso I hope will be ones for the future. Insua just needs to leave along with Riera. Spearing will never make it at this club unfortunately. Jova needs to pull his finger out. LDV needs to bulk up and the rest of the youngsters, I feel didn't take their chance to impress Roy.
  5. Shelvey is gonna be the future England Captain, you heard it here first. I love the way he demands the ball off the likes of Cole and Gerrard, that's the sort of arrogance that this team sometimes lacks.
  6. The young lads apart from Jonjo look out of their depth, it would be interesting to see how Suso does, he seems to be a cool customer when he's out their on that pitch.
  7. That was the keepers fault, why didn't he just boot it out.
  8. Haven't watched Neighbours in years, but these are the ones I remember fancying when I was a lad. Anne Wilkinson Annalise Serena Bishop Dione
  9. Express.co.uk - Home of the Daily and Sunday Express | Sport | Football FERNANDO Torres has told Liverpool that he will shun the prospect of lucrative moves away from Anfield and is committed to spearheading the club’s revival. Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson moved to end the uncertainty over striker Torres’s future yesterday by claiming he will remain on Merseyside. Torres will now be under pressure to publicly underline that pledge when he returns to training next Monday, but Hodgson’s comments will be a huge fillip for the club’s supporters, who have seen Chelsea and Manchester City circle the Spanish striker all summer. “Torres has told us he is looking forward to playing for Liverpool next season,” said Hodgson, whose side fly out to Macedonia today ahead of his first competitive game in charge against FK Rabotnicki in the Europa League qualifier tomorrow. Hodgson’s comments yesterday were at odds with quotes attributed to him last weekend, when he said the World Cup-winning Torres had “problems” with the club following a series of broken promises over much-needed investment. But Hodgson’s insistence that Torres now wants to stay will serve to bolster the sense of optimism at Anfield following skipper Steven Gerrard’s decision to remain at his boyhood club and the signing of Joe Cole, even if Liverpool confirmed Javier Mascherano wants to leave. Hodgson and Liverpool managing director Christian Purslow flew out to Spain last week to try to convince Torres that his future remains on Merseyside and Hodgson said: “As far as I know he is looking forward to coming back here on Monday. “He is enjoying a holiday – a well-deserved break as he has not had one for three years – spending a lot of time with his family and keeping a low profile. “As far as I know he is not really speaking to anyone, but he has told us that he is looking forward to Monday and to getting back to work and playing for Liverpool next season.” Argentina captain Mascherano asked to leave after meeting Hodgson on Monday, but Liverpool have warned him they will play hardball over his hopes of rejoining former manager Rafa Benitez at Inter Milan. Liverpool will seek about £25million for Mascherano and Hodgson said: “Yes, he wants to leave the club. He has made that perfectly clear. He wants to leave now but he is contracted to Liverpool, so whether he leaves or not will be our decision. “He is a Liverpool player and will continue to be treated as a Liverpool player until such a day arrives when he no longer is. “The mere fact that the player is a little bit unhappy with his situation and would prefer to leave does not necessarily mean he will do.”

    Rum

When the rum's finished, make sure you have other hobbies or you'll end up obsessed about your next bottle like this guy.
  11. Karl Kennedy off Neighbours is apparently delighted with the signing.
  12. He really needs to go, he pisses me off with his antics, it's almost as if he was trying to sabotage his Liverpool career by trying to get sent off every other week. I rarely ever see him wind up refs as much when he's with the national team.
  13. He reminds me of the cockroach loving alien in Men In Black, where it takes the skin of a human being but it still doesn't look quite right.
  14. I don't know where you got those quotes regarding Remy but this is what Roy had to say; "He's a player who was mentioned to me by the scouting department and a player the club were following before I came," "He's a player I know very little about. If I am going to be interested in a player I am going to have to watch him playing, study him and make judgments which I have not been able to." The second quote leads me to believe that only Roy can green light that transfer.
  15. I think it's probably because Rafa was a closed book and literally never gave anything away, and since Roy's become manager he's been a lot more open, especially with the media, so this has probably led the fans into thinking 'this all bit weird' because they're not used to such candour. The truth is, its probably normal, which we don't like at LFC, we prefer madness, mayhem, conspiracies and riddles.
  16. I wonder what this means for the younger lads, will they still get another chance.
  17. Yeah you're probably right, it's just so disappointing, as I was really looking forward to this game.
  18. LFC channel knew the game wasn't going ahead and just put on a pantomime to keep us watching their poxy channel.
