Something I've thought for a while is that there are simply too many people. There aren't enough opportunities for everyone to have them. The population boom of the last century and probably the next one and the next one, will cripple the human race. Even graduates in this country struggle to get jobs. For every person who prospers a hundred people have to suffer, because there just is not enough to go around. As the population rises, the number of people who have to suffer for one person to prosper will increase. One day I hope we'll find another system of governance which is not based on money. It seems ridiculous but the system that exists in Star Trek where everyone works because that's the only way the world works, rather than working for the money, is the only way to end the cycle of social and economic retardation. Everything in our society is ruled by money. As long as that is the case, we are ruled by it too. As long as we are ruled by money there will be people who are better at getting it than others and the others will always be desperate to get more. When people are desperate, they do terrible things. Fuck money. It's the root of all our ills.
