  1. Just get jobs in IT sales. In the right company it's a bit of a laugh, nothing like a call centre. We pay graduates £30k basics and £20k in commission just for generating leads not even for closing them.
  2. I am currently living in the year 2013 and am completely blown away by Laura Marlings Once I Was An Eagle. Also love Gregory Porters Liquid Spirit.
  3. Just finished City of Mirrors the final book in The Passage trilogy. Wow. No spoilers here. Totally exceeded my expectations. The story about Zero is magnificent. The ending was very satisfying and the epilogue was a beautiful tear jerker. Awesome.
  4. BFG - 7.5/10 Mark Rylance is brilliant as the giant. I watched with my 2 girls 8 & 12 and we loved it. It is a gentle story and the ending is too quick. But a lovely family film Jason Bourne 7/10 Better than I'd hoped but let down by the last 20 mins including a shit car chase with a SWAT van that literally flips cars out of the way which would be over the top in Bond let alone Bourne.
  5. As this is the foodie thread. Recently won a trip to Florence with work and one of the excursions was to a Castella vineyard in the Tuscan hills. Owned by the Verrazzano family for over 600 yrs and world renowned producers of Chianti and other products. We had a 5 course meal after a tour of the cellars. Wine was paired with the food and was excellent. However the star of the show, by far was their "oh my god" balsamic vinegar. It was served in a teaspoon with cheese. And it was one of the most amazing things I've ever tasted or that most people in the room had tasted. You could buy the wine and vinegar from them and they would ship it anywhere. Some people bought the wine which was up to £30 for a bottle even when buying a case so about £80-100 in a restaurant which we would all class as a special bottle right?.However almost everybody bought the balsamic vinegar. I had a look in Waitrose and its most expensive bottle was £14.99. The Verrazzano balsamic vinegar bought directly from the vineyard was £40 for a bottle! Can't wait to have it with some amazing cheese. They recommend it with strawberry shortcake and ice cream which I'll have to try.
  6. Have a look at procook they have shops or you can order online and as they only sell direct their prices are ace we bought knives and new pots and pans from them. Knives, generally always need sharpening though. I had just sharpened one at Christmas which I was using cut some brilliant cheddar out of its muslin wrapping when I cut my thumb down to the bone. I wince now at the feeling.
  7. I thought it was interesting that Soton got very tight on Clyne and he suffered for it. We need pace and people running behind defenders as all of our play is in front of the defence, we haven't seen any of of the fast transition play yet and that may not come until Sturridge and Hendo are fit which could be a while yet.
  8. Casino Royale made me sit up and take notice that Bond could still be relevant in today's cinema, but Skyfall was the film that made me love Bond - I love everything about that film and I'm going to go see Spectre next week on my own although I have lowish expectations.
  9. I'm surprised Barca would be in for Coutinho as he's too inconsistent to be top top class - good enough for us but needs competition which Firminho should provide. If Origi is a poor mans Benteke then think how much better it would have been with him on the pitch yesterday. A lot of Dortmunds play involved the centre forward receiving the ball with his back to goal nr the halfway line, laying off then making the right runs for a return pass 5-10 secs later or pulling defenders away to create space for the onrushing midfielders to.
  10. Anyone know of some free, interactive webcam sites for the discerning gentleman and ladies?
  11. Plus Aspas,Borini,Balotelli & Alberto - surely another £20m in the pot there
  12. Xmen back to the future or similar - I liked it, looks great on blu ray. 8/10
  13. Into The Woods 2/10 a fucking musical starring James fucking Corden.
  14. I'd like to get Sissoko in from Newcastle as a realistic target
  15. I wasn't sure if it was a cinema release this year or not otherwise it would've been my first choice - which is why I added a DVD of the year.
  16. Film - Interstellar Blu Ray/DVD - Wolf of Wall Street TV Show - True Detective
  17. Interstellar 9/10 epic and emotional. Try not to know too much about it before you see it, I didn't and that helped. Having said, it that felt a lot like Contact to me. Sagged slightly in the middle as well.
  18. Amy Adam's nipples are the best thing in that movie by far. mmmmm Amy Adams, arrrrgggggg
  19. Just finished watching Entourage and I couldn't recommend it enough. Easy going and engaging light hearted (that sounds so lame but I don't know how else to describe it - a comedy, for example) look at Hollywood life through a young hugely successful actors life living the dream with his mates. I give it 9.5/10 to compare with 10/10 from Sopranos, Breaking Bad & Battlestar Galactica. Still getting around to The Wire and Boardwalk Empire.
  20. I think those are the final two areas to strengthen before we have a squad as good as Chelsea and City, but I can't see it happening this window. We've come a long way though.
  21. Icing on the cake for me would be to snap up a couple of the outstanding youngsters such as Roberts at Fulham and Alli at MK Dons.
  22. Frodo's back!!!!!!!!!!! Been gone four days probably been to Mordor and back.
  23. Vague reports on 2 players I've never heard of - Volland and Son (Korean or Japanese maybe) Anyone know these players?
