  1. Remaining away games for the scum Blackpool Wolves Wigan Chelsea Arsenal Blackburn Newcastle West Ham and Us! City, Everton and Chelsea are there only difficult home fixtures
  2. I'm not sure how much Rihanna looks on here these days, but if you are, then i'm open to anything you'd like to do.
  3. I think Rafa was a victim of his own success. He made us able to compete at the top level against the best teams in Europe, despite having an inferior squad to most of our rivals. When Rafa took over, we were behind a Manchester United team that had been splashing the cash for years and building a solid core squad of players that would shape their team for the next decade. The United team Rafa was up against had been able to spend 30 million on Rooney, 30 million on Ferdinand, huge amounts of money, that even to this day, we are yet to spend that amount on one single player! Also there was Chelsea. A team that had overtaken us, having been bankrolled to the hilt and spending 100's of millions each summer on signing some of the best up and coming players as well as established stars. Not only were they were outspending us on transfers they were spending way more on wages too. The deals they offered Ballack, Shevchenko etc were phenomenal compared to what we were paying most of our squad. Also there was Arsenal, Who Arsene Wenger has been building for years, not just there first team but the youth teams too. All things considered I think Rafa overachieved during his time here, and did a fantastic job. But the main reason I support him, is that he genuinely cared about this club. He hated Hicks, Gillete, Ferguson and Mourinho just as much as we did. He wanted to take us back to the top but was constantly held back by firstly Rick Parry and then more later, Cancer and Aids refusal to back him.
  4. Anything better than a 3-0 defeat would be a good result today. Bolton +1 on the handicap looks a great bet at 6/5
  5. ok maybe it was the wrong choice of phrase, but all I meant was look at the bigger picture. I think Gerrard and Carragher would stay even if Rafa came back anyway.
  6. Forget about Gerrard and Carragher. neither of them has got long left at the top level anyway. If we bring back Benitez, he could be hear for 10 maybe even 15 years. He fits in perfectly with what NESV are looking for too, Rafa had been buying young talented players with potential and either selling them for a profit, or making them more valuable e.g Alonso, Reina, Mascherano, Torres, Arbeloa,
  7. Any predictions for tonights matches?? I fancy Cullen to upset Jenkins, or at least push him very close.
  8. I wish Konchesky Would threaten to retire, and then follow it through.
  9. Carlos Tevez 'not ruling out transfer to Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea' | Metro.co.uk Would we want him here? A fantastic player, proven at this level, but more than likely to fuck off after a year or two for any petty reason.
  10. I wouldn't say Hodgson was tainted by the yanks, It was just clear to me, that he is a very average manager, who's methods and tactics, especially away from home, are just plain awful. He's a mid table manager, so its no surprise that we are currently in mid table under his leadership.
  11. IF and its a big if, he does want to go, then let him go. Very few players have left here and gone on to be successes. Look at Michael Owen, biggest mistake he ever made was quitting us. I agree that a lot of it is to do with Woys style of football though. We are embarrassing away from home, and have gone so far backwards its unreal! Personally, I would sell Torres and replace Hodgeson in the summer, and look to start again, with a hungry up and coming striker up front.
  12. Thought it was a decent performance tonight, but its worth pointing out that our last 3 home league games have been against Chelsea, West Ham and Villa. on current form you couldn't ask for 3 easier fixtures. Until Roy realizes that we need a totally different approach away from home, we will never get anywhere, apart from languishing in mid table.
  13. Top class performance again tonight from both him and Meireles. At 23 years old he's still relatively young too, and looks to be growing into a really important player for us. He seems to have won over the vast majority of fans now too, so with Woys logic, he'll probably be sold in the January transfer window now!
  14. According to Wickipedia Born in Hereford, Herefordshire,[1] the son of an Army officer, Wickham grew up a Liverpool fan and considers Fernando Torres to be one of his heroes.
  15. According to Goal.com Ipswich Town sensation Connor Wickham is ready to reject a move to Liverpool as he wants to join Arsenal or Tottenham in January, Goal.com UK can reveal. Liverpool are hoping to win the race for the highly regarded striker by meeting the £10 million asking price set by Ipswich. But Goal.com UK understands Wickham has sparked a battle in north London for his signature by telling Ipswich he favours a move to Arsenal or Spurs.
  16. This season was always going to be a write off. We've got a much poorer squad and a poorer manager than the past 2 seasons. We need to get rid of Woy and bring in a manger that fits in with NESV's vision, someone who wants to be here for the long haul and is prepared to build a football tam that plays football the right way. People worry about losing Torres and Reina, but if they want out, then let them go. I'd much rather bring in players that are hungry to be successful at this club, rather than players who just want success.
  17. The good news is, by getting knocked out now, we'll be able to concentrate on securing 5th or 6th place and guaranteeing a Europa League place next season.
  18. A decent player, but thats all. At Blackpool, he's allowed to run the midfield, which he wouldn't be able to do here. I think he's one of those players that looks good at a shit club, but would look shit at a good club.
  19. Yes I read that too! hopefully they will spend it all on Christian Poulsen!
