  1. In all fairness he is a prick, but what right do most people in football have to have a go at Rafa? 90% of footballs so called "experts" or pundits are insignificant to Rafa in terms of footballing success.
  2. Fantastic article, really good read. Albeit, Rafa has out spent Wenger in that time (which i saw the writer forgot to mention), the fact of the matter is that Rafa had to do that, he had to get "his" squad together, Wenger had 8 years previous to do that time in. This article has really put a smile on my face. Thank you to the poster.
  3. Rafa is a top quality manager, although he pissed me off on Saturday, hauling off Torres and then Yossi was just like sending a message out to the players on the pitch that this game doesn't matter, its all about the CL game again Lyon. Now, weather this is to do with off pitch politics with the owners getting on his back saying we need the CL money, however we live for the league and we've lost too much ground already. The Fulham game was ours for the taking and Rafa's substitution policy cost us imo, the two red cards didn't help either but we were a beaten team before either of those.
  4. The Gooners carling cup game made me appreciate Jamie Carragher, he is our best centre halve without doubt. Until there is some one better then for me at least he should be picked in week in week out.
  5. Pacy, strong, skillful, right winger.
  6. So the official injured list consists of: Johnson Agger Skrtel Kelly Lucas Gerrard Riera Ngog Any one i've missed out?
  7. Big fan of Martin Kelly, his chances will be very limited this season though, however heres hoping that, that performance in particular made Rafa sit up and take note. He looked light years ahead of his age and wasn't scared at all. Keep up the good work Martin and hopefully we will see more of you.
  8. Jack Rodwell is a great shout, i'm sure we could get him here, why would a great player like that be content at the BS for all his career.
  9. it was a bad challenge agreed, not sure the FA will get involved though. Would love it if they did but can't see it happening.
  10. i apologies for it not being posted in the forum, i didn't know how to figure that out.
  11. http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcv11hWfzMI&feature=related I know its a long one but it took me ages to find one of it, just watch it from 1.00 minute. You will all know it.
  12. Right well the way the official 1st team squad reads on the official website is we have 36 players with 1st team numbers. Out of these i can identify the 8 "home-grown" players the premierleague wants, but what about some of our foreign lads that will be eligible next year or the year after or some of the other english lads that don't have squad numbers. Surely we're not in any immediate danger of not meeting the quota? 2. Johnson 8. Gerrard 23. Carragher 26. Spearing 32. Darby 34. Kelly 36. Irwin 39. Ecclestone are our registered players now, but surely you can add the likes of Insua, Amoo, Ayala, Plessis, Pacheco, to that list in the next couple of years. Correct me if i'm wrong, i haven't completely got my head round this new quota.
  13. Songs and chants won't get them out. Nice idea though.
  14. TLW are all going to hell. Poor lad, good to hear hes making a recovery even though he'll never play again.
  15. One of our better players, think he has more impact on a game coming from the bench. Needs to learn to shoot more. Excellent cover for Riera and Kuyt on either wing, always likely to create a chance or two coming off the bench in the last 20/25 minutes.
  16. Everton are a much more successful larger club without doubt. Still they have a huge chip on their shoulder though.
  17. Agreed mate. Exactly what i was going to say. Alright its a ball ache for every other football team in the premiership, but City finally have a realistic chance of breaking the monopoly at the top of the table and this is a good thing for English football. How Roman can say those things to Platini though is just outrageous and outlandish, complete gob shite, that goes for the both of them.
  18. Kuyt will lead the line in a 4-4-2 formation with Ngog/Voronin alongside.
  19. City may not be playing the best football at the moment. However, they are a completely new team just been put together and they have won 3/3 games and not conceeded any. Fact of the matter is City are only going to get better the more they gel together. Don't be surprised to see them in the top 4 this season, it will be great viewing versus the scum and it'll be city's first major test.
  20. Get your back side to a game euro trash, and stop dishing out abuse when this is suppose to be a discussion forum site.
  21. The formation Rafa wants to play? Personally I like what hes doing at the moment and think the fact Lucas hasn't had a mention in any ones squad yet has been a bit shocking. He has been one of our better performers this season imo. We just need sort out the defence. Don't know where this leaves Alberto to fit in, i'm sure Rafa will figure it out. He will most likely have to take the place of Lucas or Masch. Maybe it will look a little something like this; ----------------Reina----------------- Johnson---Carra---Agger---Aurelio---- Kuyt---Masch/Aquilini--Lucas/Aquilini---Benayoun ----------------Gerrard--------------- ----------------Torres---------------- Subs: Cav, Skrtel, Kelly, Lucas/Masch/Aquilini, Riera, Voronin, Ngog.
