  1. I was giving it another chance. You know, like I keep doing with you
  2. Scared. Pfffft. It's ace. Live the dream.
  3. I'm really disappointed with it. I loved Peep Show all the way through and the characters were brilliantly thought out. In relation to the new stuff, I like the Numberwang sketch but that's all. Mock the Week back tonight though .... good stuff.
  4. Just got in from work, sat down for lunch, got the iplayer on and tried watching 'That Mitchell and Webb Look' again .... yet again I am bored shitless. Peep Show was always awesome. Funny characters that developed, fantastic comedy storylines and all round greatness. Mitchell and Webb doing shit sketches about nothing of interest is the exact opposite. Utter unfunny rubbish.
  5. Where is Simon while this unfolds? He needs to read this and realise that he now has a new competitor to the 'traumatic and random thread' crown. You need to up your game, Simon. I suggest you start a thread about how your lost dog has now re-surfaced and has started stalking you from a car parked outside the flat that belongs to your 'mate' who may or may not be jail for 'doing nothing'.
  6. The GF is good for advice on most things. You want a good recipe, you get on the GF. You're male and you want to know which Sky Sports presenter's bum you should approach if offered the choice, you get on the GF. You want band recommendations, you get on the GF. You want advice about an upcoming date, you get on the GF. .... however, if you seriously think you're being stalked/bugged/about to be kidnapped (?), when is writing about it on an internet forum the best option. Have you considered calling Frost? or the FBI? Or even a psychiatrist? Red Eagle, there are professional people out there who can help you. Reach out, man. Reach out.
  7. How dare you. I'm so up to date that I have a plan in case an infection hits and some tins of beans stored under Lurtzy's bed just in case  Seriously though, in the 'good ol' days' there was no running. The running is not authentic. It's scary as hell, but not authentic.
  8. Ha. Never saw that. My apologies. However, it just means that it must be true. Good spot.
  9. Lurtzy bought me that book for Christmas. It's awesome and very entertaining. The quote from the New York Post on the back says it all: A tome you start reading for fun and then at page 50 you go out and buy a machete just to be on the safe side. Very good. However, I have to take issue with some bits of it. Zombies do not run. They never have and they never will. Foolish people.
  10. Pfffft. Bit of digging, my arse. It's first on the list at the bottom of the page.
  11. Seconded. Nothing wrong with Wales at all, but you must understand that to get to said places I have to sit in a car with Lurtzy and 'the rage' for however long it takes to get there. Closer is better for everyone.
  12. .... and after a quick search, my dream will apparently be coming true this September. Wispa Fanatics Celebrate Golden Return Friday July 03, 2009 Chocolate fans who successfully campaigned for the return of Wispa last year have scored another sweet victory with its sister bar, Wispa Gold. Over 40 million original Wispa bars sold out in 18 weeks after their release last year. Devoted eaters have persuaded chocolate giants Cadbury to bring back the range after another online petition on Facebook. The bar went back into production on Thursday morning after 22,000 people had joined the group "Bring back Cadbury's Wispa Gold" on the social networking site. Online users all agreed it was careless of Wispa to ever discontinue the Gold brand back in 2003, after only eight years on sale. To celebrate, Cadbury invited three of the internet campaigners to push the button to launch production at the firm's factory in Bournville, Birmingham. Up to 40 million of the bubbly bars will be released on September 14 for a "limited period".
  13. Agreed and repped. My favourite has always been the Wispa. So happy they're back. Just need these awesome fellas to come back as well and my life will be complete.
  14. Ever since he had it as his avatar I have been utterly convinced of this. Dirty Sanchez = SUPERHANS PS I agree with Neko. I've thought that for awhile about the avatars, although not sure where that leaves me .....
  15. Negged. That picture is completely inaccurate. Since MJ's death, that is in fact the one face that Mr. Culkin will no longer have to make.
  16. Nightmare day for me today, especially after my first week back at work. Just had one pupillage interview in Manchester at 11:50 and now sat at home waiting to go off to a second one in Leeds at 4:00. This is one is going to be an hour long job and I have to do a 15 minute presentation on the subject of 'Euthanansia: right or wrong?'. Not as nervous as I've already got one done, but still not looking forward to it. BBQ with RL later though and many a beer. Roll on 5 o'clock.
  17. Thanks RT. Landlord has okayed it and is paying for half the cost. Some of the wallpaper is in decent nick so will probably be ok. I think we might need to go back in and have another look. I did notice that some of the stuff around the windows is less good (peeling and the like) so I think that will have to come off. I don't think that the house is so old that plastering will be a problem. It's in a damn good state in general.
  18. It's not wood chip or flock, but a rather dodgy looking spots above the dado and stripes below. Burgundy red. Tasty.
  19. Serious question for the GF. Help needed. Can you simply put lining paper over old wallpaper and then paint it, or does it need to be stripped completely? I know it's daft to paint straight over wallpaper, but Lurtzy and I have decided to rent a house and some of the rooms need 'doing up' so to speak and we don't want to go over the top. Any help will be appreciated and those who prove useful will be duly spit-repped by Lurtzy and myself.
  20. Back at work today in the glorious UK justice system after my 5 months and 2 weeks off and I just wanted to state for the record, without any hesitation, that Barnsley sucks. Parking is expensive, the whole place is full of one way streets and one of the first sights that greeted me this morning after getting out of the car was a lovely couple drinking cans of Carlsberg at 10:30am while walking to court. On top of that I've just spent the last 20 minutes listening to two of the most pompous barristers I have ever encountered gush at each other about a recent trip to Australia and how they're each going to win their prospective 'high brow' (???) cases. "YOU'RE SAT IN BARNSLEY COUNTY COURT, WHICH HAS A WAITING ROOM WITH 5 OF THE CEILING TILES MISSING. GET A CHUFFING GRIP.'
  21. The famous 'Auto Trader' picture that showed White Stig's eyes.
  22. I love going to charity shops and having a rummage through the clothes. The books are good as well, but I've got bloody loads to read at the moment and I never seem to get round to it. SKI's right though that some of the shops (particularly ones relating to 'human' charities, I've found) can put expensive labels on stuff that would have been cheaper in the shops originally, but I've also come across some old vintage stuff that was an absolute bargain.
