Its too late now but just a little word of advice.... Theres no need to upgrade HDMI cables, its a waste of money. Basically they send digital signals which either work or they dont. It would be like upgrading a USB cable which is unheard of. Probably not made it very clear but a quick Google search would find you a better explanation.

Thats right, you'll need to buy 2 Optical cables today. 1 for your PS3 and the other for your HD box. Your Sky HD, DVD player, PS3 and Xbox will all plug into the AV receiver (make sure you get one with enough inputs!!) and then a single HDMI will run to your TV. They are awesome bits of kit, just a shame I havnt got the cash to get one at the mo because you'll need to buy a speaker package seperately....decent ones cost a fair bit of cash!

It will depend on what you are watching of course. Once you've got your Optical cables any HD material via your HD box will sound superb...the same goes for your PS3 (all games have proper 5.1 soundtracks).

If you dont notice any difference your ears must be broken.

This is a Toslink Optical cable: 1M HIGH END PROFESSIONAL TOSLINK CABLE: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo It will plug into the Optical In on your amp (you have 2). There will be an Optical out on your PS3 and HD box. Thats fair enough then...yeah you will still need the phono cables to run from your TV to amp so that you can get sound from the normal TV channels.

You've got a digital amp so get rid of those pre-historic phono cables!!! What I would do is connect your PS3 and HD box to your amp via HDMI and then (if your HD box has an optical out of course) connect both your PS3 and HD box to the 2 optical inputs on your amp via Toslink cable. Make sure they both correspond i.e PS3 into HDMI no.1 and PS3 Toslink cable into Optical no.1. The sound quality should blow you away. Hope that makes sense!!!

Maybe im looking at that information in a simplistic way...but it shows that since Rafa took over we're the 4th highest spenders, have actually recouped the 4th highest amount of money and, on average, spend around £18m....the 3rd highest. Well since Rafa has taken over we've consistenly finished 3rd and 4th in the league which ties in with that 'Transfer' information. With those stats we are performing exactly how we should be yet our fans demand the title?!

We were doing well in Rafa's first 2 years in charge. Champions League and FA Cup winners, we were also building a relatively good squad. Then the Americans came and it is no coincidence that things have been on the slide since then. We cant even compete financially with the likes of Man City, Spurs and maybe even Sunderland. Yet Rafa is supposed to have us challenging at the top? I honestly dont believe we should be judging the manager now under these circumstances. He should only be judged against our fans incredibly high expectations when he has the full backing of an owner who can see us genuinly compete financially with the top clubs (not unlimited funds) and then if things arent working we can debate whether he should be our manager or not. Last night I saw and heard 40,000 fans willing Martin Kelly to do well. Why? 'Cos he is a Scouser. He is one of us and we all want him to do well because of it. The same goes for Spearing. Well Benitez is one of us. Rafa and his family have taken to The Liverpool Way like they were born into it. Montse was seen crying in the stands after last nights result. The Benitez family love the city and they love the club. We need all of our fans to back Rafa the way they do Kelly and Spearing. Lets give him our full support. That means concentrating our anger towards the owners. Lets get them out of our club. We need rid of this cancer before its too late. For me the only time to be questioning Rafa is when he's had his chance with some proper backing. If things still arent working then THATS the time to debate whether he should be manager or not. Remember...its yanks out first.

Bit of a long shot but have you tried clearing the hard drive cache? Could work!! Go to System Settings > Memory Highlight the hard drive and press Y Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X You should get a message asking to confirm system maintenance.

Playing Halo online becomes a lot more fun once you've got used to all the weapons too. With COD you can pretty much pick up any weapon and do pretty well with it. In Halo because of the energy shield and it taking longer to kill each enemy you really need to know which weapon is best in each situation. Once you've mastered that and start racking up more kills it becomes a lot more fun. Had an epic Fire Fight mode last night with a couple of mates. It really is an awesome addition to the game. As people have said though ODST was initially an addon to Halo 3. It became a bit of a bigger animal, so to speak, during production. It was never going to be a full game but for me, because of Fire Fight mode, its worth the full price. Im sure if Bungie had their way though it never would have been so expensive.
