  1. I suppose they represent a blank canvas in some ways? It may be easier to start from where they are now, with a fan base that’ll adore them (certainly initially) and a new stadium, in the richest league in Europe, and they, like Chelsea, could be given a free hit in the transfer market to “aid” their progress. Someone might be interested in taking a punt.
  2. There seems to be a sharp drop off between International and Club levels to me. At Women’s International level there are cohesive moves and tactics at play, and I found watching some of the last couple of tournaments there were individual and team performances that I enjoyed. Watching today’s game I switched off before Everton scored because the quality was very low and I was, to be honest, bored watching it. Mens Club football has more variety of nationalities evident and, over decades, there’s been a distribution of skills and tactics across most of the main leagues and particularly in the Premier League because it pays the most money and, therefore, attracts the best coaches and players. It’s that which the English Women’s League is up against mostly, because it isn’t at that level yet and other leagues are better placed.
  3. At Anfield. Opposition not really important, but either the Ev, United or City would be the cherry on the cake. Went for United at home as they are still one ahead. Ideally we should do one at Anfield when we’re level with them too.
  4. Qataris pulled out of bidding for united. Cue frenetic posts on GOT reasoning why the Ev would be a much better buy. #blankcanvas#newfloodisonpark
  5. Probably flies into London on a Friday. Whores around, gets pissed and snorts coke all weekend, then flies back to Saudi on Sunday night and condemns people to death on Monday for stealing a goat or looking sideways at a woman.
  6. If a sending off negatively affects the game, and Webb doesn’t want that to happen, then surely his referees should be instructed to send no more players off this or any other season. What a pompous, self important twat he is. I’m surprised the authorities don’t take that and dismiss him straight away. Well I’m not surprised really, fucking anything goes with the shit shower running the game currently. FIFA though, they should be made aware and ask for an explanation.
  7. I’ve felt we need to be nastier for some time now, but unfortunately, the PGMOL will have a field day if our players start being more physical than they currently are. Taylor did a great job last weekend of penalising almost every challenge of ours that was 50-50, it broke our play up and had the players on edge in case they were booked. Opposition players also know that if they throw themselves over against us, they’ll get free kicks or better.
  8. Understand completely what you’re saying, it annoys me that professional footballers, on the money they are on, can be labelled one-footed. It’s like cutting your toolbox in two and only using half your toolkit. The issue with Robbo is that he’s too long in the tooth now to make any significant changes to his game. He won’t be improving his right foot too much I think.
  9. Knew how to dive though, one of the best, role model for Grealish, Gordon, Sterling et al.
  10. I suppose they have to be equally as shit every week so as to not attract attention. Fortunately for them, they don’t find this difficult.
  11. I think so too. There’s no doubting he never tries less than 100%, can show moments of real class too, however, he has a lack of physicality for midfield and although his legs go at 100 mph, he doesn’t seem to cover the ground very quickly. Messi runs in a similar fashion but is obviously a chasm ahead on skill, Harvey has the one big benefit of being young and there’s a chance he can improve to make more of his skills and learn more about how to overcome his weaknesses. I think that’s how Klopp looks at him and will try to evolve him. Let’s face it, he’s much more effective than some of the dross we’ve had over recent seasons.
  12. Quite unbelievable and yet expected that after being screwed over with possibly the worst decision in the relatively short history of VAR, it somehow ends up being our fault and pretty much every media hack and pundit unite in calling out Klopp for being unreasonable for demanding a replay, when he did nothing of the sort. It feels like it’s being organised given the pretty unanimous way that opinion was aired, obviously we’ve hit nerves with the response. We are being marginalised steadily but surely, fucked on the pitch and off it, and it’s frustrating that our owners aren’t seemingly doing anything to defend us, or if they are, it’s happening on the quiet. I don’t know how we get a win out of this, seemingly untouchable bodies like the PGMOL have an agenda that at best, is just cunts like Webb getting his own back, but at worst, is paid for corruption, and nobody is prepared to call it out, preferring to keep on the gravy train regardless of who suffers in the process. When he leaves us eventually, I hope Klopp blows the gaff on the whole stinking cabal.
  13. Speed, or the lack of it, was at the root of today’s result. We played like it was a preseason game against Union SG on Thursday, and we carried the same tempo into todays game for large parts of it. Every other team will be happy us taking the extra touch, or the pass backwards, or the side to side between the defenders because they get the chance to regroup and set themselves up defensively against us. We have to force the pace more, by committing them to come out at us, by going on the front foot rather than sitting back with the ball. Last season Matip often broke the opposition setup by taking the ball forwards until someone broke ranks and went to tackle him, that then created space, it’s something Hansen and Lawrenson were very good at too. That doesn’t explain away the stupidly inept pass that Virgil gave Mac Allister for the first goal, I hope he got a shellacking for that off Klopp, Captain or not.
  14. Kovacic > Fernandinho Absolutely no doubt now that there’s corruption where the PGMOL and oil clubs are involved.
  15. Rooney has left DC United by mutual consent. Wonder where he’s going now? Should Ten Hag be worried?
  16. They’re playing Liverpool, they’ll be giving 110%, as every team does against us. I’m nervous that Taylor will be looking to book ours as early as he can so as to make us think twice about any 50-50 challenges. Imagine there’ll be a fair few simulations from the Brighton players, they’ll be aware that officials won’t be wanting to do us any favours after us causing them embarrassment last week.
  17. Fuck all changes then. Klopp is the new Benitez (Facts!), media twist anything said to suit their narrative, this’ll be next weeks chip paper. But it won’t be forgotten about by the PGMOL I assure you. The likes of Webb and his cronies are not likely to forgive and forget.
  18. Wasn’t it Bissouma who went down like a sack of shit last week when Jota hardly touched him for the sending off? Commentators bigging up Maddison now, most number of assists apparently so far this season, he’s still an arrogant, Grealish-lite prick who’s not half as good as he thinks he is.
