  1. Its was very interesting:- 1. Rafa had a 4 year, total control deal on the table for Real Madrid, but turned it down for his love of the club this summer. 2. Real would give either Rafa, Wenger, Ancellotti or Jose the job but no others. 3. Jose has knocked on the door (via his agent) and would love to manage Liverpool. Was good if only because he ran Stan Collymore round in circles who said Jose would win us the league within 2 years if he joined.
  2. I constantly wonder what those within the club are saying or doing on the issue, most notably Dalglish and Sammi. Cant believe they are doing nothing while im sure they can see first hand what is happening. David Moores should be calling in every favour he's owed and doing more to oust these idiots, he owes LFC fro the mess hes left.
  3. Rafa will leave by Xmas. Gillette will be gone by November, Hicks will linger like a bad smell!
  4. I know football rumours isnt exactly trustworthy but I can just imagine H&G coming up with this little gem:- From contacts inside Anfield: In the wake of the Chelsea transfer ban LFC staff have been instructed to prepare an unofficial dossier to hand over to FIFA "exposing" Liverpool's own transfer breaches. This order has come from Hicks and Gillet who are hoping that the "punishment" of a transfer embargo will relieve the pressure on them from fans demanding reinforcements to the squad allowing them to silo all transfer funds into future debt repayments. . .
  5. I know football rumours is hardly trustworthy but I can see H&G rubbing their hands together and coming up with this little gem. From contacts inside Anfield: In the wake of the Chelsea transfer ban LFC staff have been instructed to prepare an unofficial dossier to hand over to FIFA "exposing" Liverpool's own transfer breaches. This order has come from Hicks and Gillet who are hoping that the "punishment" of a transfer embargo will relieve the pressure on them from fans demanding reinforcements to the squad allowing them to silo all transfer funds into future debt repayments. . .
  6. A mate has texted me saying Silva has trained with LFC for two days and that they have suspended betting. Can anyone confirm this?
  7. Bet Rafa gets pulled over burning coals for this. Ole Whiskey nose will be sticking the knife in saying he is disrespecting England
  8. Once he gets over his injury!!! Out 4 - 8 weeks already I kid you not.
  9. 1. We will improve 2. Manure have lost quality and wont replace them* 3. Chelsea have a new manager who will be out by xmas if they start slowly. 4. Arsenal will not spend big money. 5. Man City see 3. *Anyone else heard that Vidic is not injured but trying to manouvre a move away and they are skint?
  10. Really need to give Rafa some slack on this, IF this turns out to be a mistake and its a big IF especially when you get £30M for a player. It would be the first player Rafa has sold that has gone on to better himself when hes left. All this rubbish about Rafa and his relationship with Xabi nonesense, I get the feeling Rafa treats all the players with the same distant attitude until you wrong him or the club and then its the highway. All this flared up when Xabi refused to go abroad for a Champs league game when his kid was born and I believe this was a factor in Rafa 'letting' Alonso leave. This is just my take on events and like 99.9% of people on here I dont know for sure.
  11. Thing is if Alonso does turn out to be the only player Rafa has sold that has gone on to do something great £30m aint so bad a price to pay.
  12. So much hatred, dont let facts get in the way of a good rant.
  13. I think it will happen, only a matter of time and from a hard nosed businessman point of view it does make sense to have the best teams play each other. As a traditionalist I would not like to see it happen but the thought of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Ure being there and us not is too horrible to ponder.
  14. Anything posted on Football Rumours should be discounted but when a super league is formed (and I believe it will be sooner or later), how important would our 5th win be in securing our position in it and should Chelsea and Arsenal be included in it at all? taken from football rumours:- 'At a secret meeting tonight at fifa paris where my uncle a top fifa referee was invited it was discussed once again the forming of a super league liverpool man u arsenal chelsea were invited no other english team were needed or wanted because of a fair parity among the euro clubs sorry man city you have wasted your money come 2012 you will be left in england along with all the other also rans making it a lot harder to buy top stars who will only join the elite clubs'
  15. Got pissed off paying for sky. Got a Hauppage WinTV-NOVA-HD-S2 card around £70 and put it in an old PC. Connected the SKy cable to it (from the dish) Installed Windows 7 RC (free at the moment) and works like a dream. Connected it all to my big ass TV. Records free SKy channels BBC HD, Babestation, Sky 3 basically any channel that is free on sky. and then watch the footie on the internet and the highlights in HD on MOTD. Saves me about £60 per month and wife can still record soaps, awful movies2 etc.
  16. All i can say is Rafa got it spot on in only hiring players that show they want to play for us. Anyone who can stand there with a Manc scalf could have had no desire to respect LFc whatsoever. Also just feel this is Whisky nose trying to put one over on Rafa after the Tevez thing. I do feel it will backfire doesnt he know Michael never wins the league! Hope we still have Xavi 'leg breaker' Alonso next season.
  17. And to think he could have been ours! We would have sold him for a Jaffa cake and nice cup of tea.
  18. The difference is we have that level of debt and cant compete financially and would require more debt to a)compete financially in the transfer market and b) to build the stadium. Up until Moores and Parry saw the dollar signs we were the shining example of how to run a successful club without debt, now we are an example of what can happen if you sell your soul to the highest bidder. Shame on you.
  19. If Alonso has to leave then a three way auction between Real, Chelsea and City/Arsenal would maybe give us a healthy price and a decent player in exchange, Essien anyone?
  20. More to the point is are City going to fuck up our Cl qualification next year. They clearly are going to outbid everyone else for the top players until they get enough or they sign for someone else. People forget that Chelsea were on the up before Bramovich's millions and maybe had a bit of luck in finding Mourinhio capable of turning a squad of top class players into a team.
  21. Apparantly we offered 8m for Barry, Citeh offered 12M and got him!
  22. Should insert the words 'at that price' on the end. Clearly Real want him and have made an approach. Rafa knows if hes going to lose Alonso may as well get a big chunk of cash for him and with Real already promising to bring him to Spain Rafa knows hes in a strong positon. Thats my take on it, but hey we dont want to sell him.
  23. Ancellotti will take time to adapt to the Prem like Rafa did. Might win them the CL though but might struggle to qualify without Drogba. Read somewhere that Chelsea were prepared to offer Essien and cash for Alonso!
  24. Thats the key isnt it, ho much he would want in wages if hes free let him make his wages up via goal and appearance bonuses, lets see if he still has any appetite to salvage his career. Would make a decent backup and could be the bargain of the season if he re-discoveres any kind of form.
  25. I have Its in the bag, just dusted off my paisley tie and found my GCSE in Woodwork certificate.
