    Being a bit more attack minded in games wouldnt hurt. If we'd approached the fulham, whu home games and stoke away like we did real on tuesday, we wouldnt be so far behind the mancs now. it isnt always having the best players, its about wanting to win as much as anything. benitez wants to win but he wants to win his way. he wont change his approach during games and this is why we more often than not drop points.

    Well said. theres far too much hysteria against mourinho on here by some. are his players at inter chucking themselves to the ground every tackle or divin all over the shop? To have player doin that the players have to have a divin mentallity like dogbreath and the like. its crazy, the fella has won titles in 2 countries. hell probably win a third in italy the way inter are going. did he have shedloads of money in portugal and italy? people forget ranieri had the ruskies money but couldnt win the pl. if benitez ever left we'd be mad not to consider mourinho as a replacement. still i suppose we could always comfort ourselves if we got someone like strachan that he has a fantastic press conference style.

    wind yer neck in. i didnt say he fucked up the league. I think he's been in a position to challenge for the title for some time now but he's concentrated on europe. i do think its more than a co incidence that weve challenged for the title in a season when he wants a new contract though.

    Isnt this tapping up even if it is his dad? Didnt his dad play for Atletico so he's bound to say this stuff. He probably thinks reina would be spains first choice keeper if he played in spain but I think he's wrong. They love casilas too much.

    Most of this is correct but let's not run away with the idea that evans' team or houllier's for that matter were shyte. Evan's team played some good football. The only problem was Evans didnt or couldnt command the respect of too many players and they ended up taking the piss. Houllier's team put us back on the map and its sad that he lost it towards the end. And some of benitezs buys have been shit. Some of the performances have been shit too. A bit rose tints if you ask me claiming he's single handedly put us back on the map van der vaart doesnt think the way you say! Dont you think it a bit odd that we've only made a realistic challenge for the title in the season when benitez wants a new contract? We've had enough money spent on the squad in the last few seasons to have made that challenge before now. Im not saying we should have won it but I feel we could have challenged a bit more frequently than the once.

    go to my original post. i asked if utd and chelsea 'slip up like this' against bottom teams. not draw, 'slip up like this' ie get beat. to then say yes utd and chelsea have drawn against so and so isnt slipping up like this as i said originally.

    no. in none of them games you mention have chelsea or utd LOST to bottom or near bottom teams. The teams they have lost to is us.
