  1. I bought the new football manager last night. Can't be arsed with it or football at all right now. Another weekend ruined. I might have to start drinking again. Oh yeah, and if us and Palace had won, I'd have won 13 grand.
  2. Trainspotting 2 - I can't believe how average this was. All the reviews I'd skimmed had me genuinely excited. Take off those nostalgia goggles and your left with a bit of a shit sandwich to be honest. It barely got any laughs out of a packed cinema and it was a bit of a mess from start to finish if you ask me. I've forgot how to do spoilers so don't read on if you haven't seen it.. ***So two of the gang don't do heroin anymore and I'm sure Renton was 20 years clean but they end up taking it again and that's it. It takes up about a minute of the entire 2 hour film. We don't see anything of the day after or even any mention of it again. Which begs the question.. why bother?*** I get the impression the film was made for the fans who were in their 20s or whatever when the original was released and I'm sure they'll enjoy it, but for me they should never have bothered. It was as if they thought 'it's now or never. Let's just do it' 6/10. Extra point for the nostalgia and 'choose life' bit
  3. I didn't catch the game but let's just try to be positive going forward. It took Klopp a few years to put his stamp on Dortmund (and to win the league) I get its hard to positive after an absolute disaster of a month and lack of transfer activity is unacceptable but I genuinely believe we're in the best hands and we're not that far off a team that can truly challenge. I expect we'll ditch a lot of the shite in the summer and bring in some genuine quality. We really were flying early in the season and played some of the best football I've seen. Loss of form, injuries and cover has really kicked our arse but I think we'll address this in the summer and we'll definitely win the league under Klopp.
  4. La La Land - Hard to put my feelings about this one into words really. I wasn't blown away by the musical numbers, at least not lyric wise, nothing there I could see myself singing along too (though the actual music was great) but I still enjoyed it immensely and something about it struck a cord with me. It left me thinking about moments in my life I haven't thought about in years and it was genuinely inspiring. I haven't thought about picking up a pen and writing in ages but after that I feel moved to do so - 9/10 I'll listen back to some of the songs tomorrow if they're available too.
  5. I suppose not but it's reaching league cup-levels of 'Who gives a fuck?' at the moment. It needs a complete revamp. Get rid of the League Cup and start the FA Cup in September. Everyone in at the same round. Two legs except for semi-finals. This not only increases the chances of non-league vs PL ties but also means young players will get plenty of chances too. It'd be difficult with Europe and international fixtures but when there's money to be made there's always a way
  6. I got Sleeping Dogs definite edition for £4 on the PS store. Only had a little bash because I'm occupied with Battlefield but it seems like it'll be good fun. Combat and quick time events similar to the Batman/Uncharted games.
  7. The magic of the cup! Weakened teams, shite games and poor attendances! Yet people like Gary Lineker want you to believe it's the best cup competition in the world. Let's not go nuts.
  8. Win percentage of 70 with him and 30 without suggests we'll fair a bit better
  9. Where are people watching these? Seems like every site I used to use is now blocked and any sites I do find require a sign up. I might be wrong but haven't they only added the last series a few months ago?
  10. I picked it up earlier today. After a little blast in single player I jumped into conquest or something? Not the best idea. I don't even think I managed to register a shot in the first 30 minutes. I faired a bit better after that though. I just stuck to medic and I'm not too far off level 3. I should probably buy myself a mic next and find some peeps to play with. It's great fun but I get the sense it'll be even better with some communication.
  11. Are we sure we even want CL anymore guys? Imagine us trying to compete in the league and group stages? A scary thought
  12. Sad thing is it'll probably take another season or two before a lot of people who go to the match turn against the owners and as soon as they do the media will start sticking the boot in and we'll be a laughing stock because they'll point to the stadium extension we were blessed with or the fact no one was really slagging them off until we turned shite. Soon as I woke up this morning I knew getting out of bed to watch this shite would be a mistake. When I saw the line-up up I nearly didn't bother I love Klopp but the fact he's not kicking up a fuss here and continuing with shite teams in cups is leaving a real bad taste in my mouth
  13. I wonder much Klopp and Rodgers are/were paid to keep their mouths quiet regarding our shite owners. We might not have valued, or even expected much from Ings, but when he got injured I can't believe klopp didh't come out and say we'd need to replace him. Especially as we knew Mane would be off
  14. Only 24 signings by PL teams so far. 5 of them by Hull. I swear 'arry bought more than that one January when he was at Portsmouth.
  15. My lass made me watch the new Cabin Fever which was written by Eli Roth. Wow. I only lasted half an hour. Honest to God, steaming hot trash. The type of film that could (and should) hopefully destroy the careers of everyone involved. Even the runners. At one point one of the lads shoots some random bloke in the woods and rather than get help he just goes back to the cabin and acts like nothing happened. Shortly after this the cabin is attacked and for some reason their attacker gets in the car, which they proceed to shoot to pieces. Tyres included. You could show this scene to a group of 6 year olds and I bet nearly all of them would ask 'Why is that doss cunt shooting their own car?!' Thankfully it looks like the film made fuck all, which makes me happy, until I found out Eli Roth is directing a reboot of Death Wish starring Bruce Willis. I've not seen any of the others but the trailer for this has me cracking up. It looked like it was going to be one of those 'so bad it's good'
  16. People who chomp their food. Especially when it's people you don't know so you can't tell them to shut the fuck up. It gives me a teeth clenching anger. I'm almost choking on my own rage writing this post. My ma looks after a woman who has learning difficulties, who can't be left alone longer than half an hour and she'll often go for a dump and not lock the door.. even she knows how to eat properly.
  17. Graham Coxon - Happiness in Magazines Suede - Dog Man Star The Beach Boys - Sunflower Quincy Jones - the Dude
  18. Watched 3 episodes of HBO's Girls and ugh. Everyone so far is so dislike-able and the main girl looks like this bossy cow I went uni with
  19. You know it's bad when you start thinking things like 'Shane Long wouldn't be a bad shout right about now..' Honestly I'd take pretty much anyone at the moment. A striker that runs and a winger with some pace would be nice, but God knows where we'd find such a thing.
  20. I'm attacking the owners a lot lately but tbf to them it's not like a lack of personnel/experience has cost us before.. No sir. Not once in recent memory can I remember us having a decent first 11 with no one in reserve to bring in when we needed them..
  21. I dunno how many games that young lad playing at CB has played but it took us about 88 minutes to try the long ball. Nobody likes long ball football but Jesus Christ mix it up a bit. This one way of playing bullocks doesn't work. You only have to look at Rodgers to see that.
  22. Didn't deserve it over 2 legs. All the confidence has gone. I'm angry with the players and even Klopp but our owners can fuck right off. Absolute joke that a club with hopes of the title/top 4 has a bench as weak as ours. Soon as a player has an inevitable bad spell there's absolutely no one to come in for them and take the pressure off. There's not another club in the league that can't at least bring in an experienced player or two if someone's form dips. We have about 10 players who have played over 100pl games and two of them are fucked.
