  1. leave Benny Hill out of this, you knob
  2. Anyone who does not recognise this poster as Louise Redknapp is a twat. Think about it, 'Something for the Weekend' is not on this week so she has a lot more time on her hands to massacre the English language. We is not doing well this week, is it?
  3. Nice prediction: a Gazza-esque metdown is on the cards. Gazza was slightly more likeable though.
  4. Cheers for the update, Stevie. Do you ever sleep, though? I only ask cos I now have this image of you being like that news-gatherer dude from Serenity with lots of computer screens in front of you.
  5. Hey his name is lucas He plays in midfield He's our number 21 Yes we think you've seen him before If you see some effort some kind of fight He's no longer viewed as total shite He's our brilliant 21 He's our brilliant 21 He's our brilliant 21
  6. Well no one on here has written a poem about him being a honey bee, or what not, but the fact that there have been a number (too many) arguments about him on here suggests he has a lot of people who remember and appreciate his efforts. Yes, there are some quite snide posts about him but the opposite also exists on here. Whilst not the greatest memory (1977 will always be for me), Istanbul was a fabulous night and up there with the best. Rafa worked tirelessly for the club through the incompetence of Clown Face and Silver Spoon, then during the Cowboys' time, and whilst not moving forward, he did keep us treading water against all the odds. No-one in their right mind could fail to appreciate all his hard work and commitment. If however you expect everyone on here to mindlessly ignore the toll it took on him, leading to the way he became more defensive and our football suffered, then you would be better off on another forum where reflective thinking and debate is discouraged and mindless platitudes are dished out. Sorry if that insults other such forums but it seems sweeping statements and generalisations are ok with you. By the way, you make some good points but they would have been more compelling if you dropped the super-fan "arl arse" attitude, lid.
  7. Sadly, with Shawcross, there's the added disadvantage that in bidding for him we would actually be dealing with Slur Baconface. Pulis would be on the phone throughout the negotiations saying 'Sir, they've bid £13m' and old demento saying 'tell them we've just bid £14.5m'. We'd get royally ripped off. Same goes for negotiations with Wigan, probably more so as Whelan is the Chairman, not the manager. Dortmund might accept Skrtel or Agger in part excange for Subotic. Maybe both, which could lower the transfer fee.
  8. On the wing. Where he excels. What with his sublime skilss and all
  9. Durango is Goatboy. And he's well pissed off with himself
  10. Devolo is really good but it is worth paying more for the 200mbps version. The cheaper ones can interfer with other electrical devices, and if you've got decent broadband it's possibly going to create a delay.
  11. point is we now have a brighter future and, for the first time in years, and fairly even playing field. City and Chavs have the money but we have a real genius in charge. We can be first to 20!
  12. fucking hell Manchester City Plan £14.5m Bid for Liverpool Midfielder | CaughtOffside Manchester City are planning to make an offer to sign Liverpool Alberto Aquilani this summer. Roberto Mancini is known to be an admirer of the Italian international and hopes to lure the creative midfielder to Eastlands but will first have to persuade Kenny Dalglish to sell to a rival to their top four ambitions. Currently on loan at Juventus, 26 year old Aquilani is thought to be keen on securing a permanent deal with the Serie A giants, however the Turin side are as yet unwilling to meet the €16m (£14.5m) fee that Liverpool are looking for which has led to Mancini’s move to enter the race to sign the former Roma man. Alberto Aquilani arrived at Liverpool last term whilst still injured and when fully fit was strangely overlooked by Rafa Benitez and made just nine Premier League starts and was then taken on a season long loan by a Juventus side looking to recapture their place at Italy’s top table under the new management of Luigi Delneri. However the Old Lady of Italian football have had a poor season as a whole and currently sit in seventh spot. Aquilani’s personal form has though been consistent and noteworthy and has led to a recall to the Italian national team and much interest from prospective buyers with the likes of Inter and AC Milan both supposedly keen on the Liverpool man. Kenny Dalglish’s return to Anfield has led to a huge improvement from midfielder Raul Meireles and Lucas and therefore makes the chances of Aquilani returning to Merseyside seemingly unlikely. Man City boss Roberto Mancini is seemingly keen to add a more cultured edge to the centre of his midfield to sit alongside the more aggressive combative abilities of the likes of Nigel De Jong and Patrick Vieira. Aquilani’s is adept as a holding midfielder as well as being able to link midfield and attack in a more offensive manner make him a very attractive proposition. Summer signing James Milner has not had the best of seasons and Mancini may feel that the Italian international has more to offer.
  13. Sammy Lee was shite without Souness next to him but a really good foil for him. With a dominant, physicla midfielder next to him Spearing could be exceptional for us. Only if he changes his name to Jay 'Truck'/ 'Tookie' Spearing, or wears some 'colors' though.
  14. Totally agree with you on this. Our spunk must be well aimed and not spent on a pair of tits.
  15. Own up - you've kidknapped Mypost! There's a lot of sense you make there. Sadly, "The Liverpool Way" for Moores meant not doing anything, sticking with the old ways instead of modernising and adapting. Instead of evolving, we have been left with mini revolutions with each change of manager, and rebuilding projects ad nauseam. Smith and Robinson were ruthless directors and totally commited to being the best. Sadly Parry and Moores basked in the glory achieved by better men, and we fell far behind. I think we now have the right people in place with a long term view for a successful future, and the right manager to achieve that.
  16. Yes, poor Roy. But do you really wish otherwise? Roy, thanks for your self-serving time in charge and the massive task you have left Kenny with.
  17. Hi CD: 1 or 2 from Cahill/ Johnson/ Subotic, and Mats Hummels as he has a great name. We'd be looking at £10-15m for any one of them though. LB: any quality player who is not made of glass. CM: 2 from Matoudi/ M' Villa/ Moussa Sissoko would mean a really powerful "2" in a 4-2-3-1. Sissoko seems to be the key player as he could play a more box to box role. Maybe Adam for his passing range. Wide: Hazard would be great but probably unlikely. Same with Adam Johnson. Turan seems a possibility. We could also do with a quality 3rd forward. Maybe someone on loan. I haven't got a clue, really - just haven't posted for a while and thought I'd say hi.
  18. Dear Mr Purslow, I am writing in regard to your vacancy since the Spanish Waiter left Liverpool Football Club. I have both the technical and practical experience of managing a football club, and methods that have tranlated over 35 years translated from Halmstads to Malmo to Orebro to Neuchatel Xamax to the Swiss national team. I am a winner of the LMA Manager of the Year award and can provide references from stalwarts such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Tony Pulis, and Sir Sam Allardyce......
  19. Max Beasley is Manc twat and even where football isn 't involved he is a totally unsympathetic twat, in everything he has ever done. Shame on you Simon.
