    Its a centre half we need desperately. More than enough positives first half today. 2nd half has shown everything that is wrong with us. 2 centre halfs who cannot attck the first ball, and make us defend far deeper than we should have to

    Thought he had a great first half today. skrtel and Kyriagkos started the 2nd half 20 yards deeper than we played all first hal. Centre back has to be our priority. When Lucas is challengin the first ball every time something ain't right

    Someone mentioned stability earlier on, wasn't that what Hodgson was supposed to bring? Klopp or Coyle for me, although anyone who will actually try to get us playing the same attractive football, home and away will do.

    Just seems his methods are dated. He seemed incredibly stubborn towards the end with us, his behavior at Villa seems even worse. Here's hoping he points Young and even Warnock in our direction

    I honestly believed, even with losing Alonso, that last year was our time. What the fuck happened? I remember that Villa match start of last year and thinking it was going to be a long season. Didn't realise it would get so bad!

    Is there a red anywhere not envious of the way Spurs are playing at the minute. Players like Modric, Bale and VDV, should be gracing Anfield every week. As for last 90 minute performance? Might have been 1/2 since, but for me the Real Madrid match. the work rate and football that night was relentless. Proud to have been there that night.

    Interesting stuff I think its time Kenny came back too... But does anyone remember the side he put out at Highbury once, which contained about 6 fullbacks? He was not always the most adventurous of managers

    Does it not say something about the dearth of quality at Left Back, that Riise is a shoe in? Although given his replacements past few seasons, he actually seems to get better and better in my memory!

    Just can't see what Hazard can offer that, Cole, Gerrard or even Pacheco can't in that position. No doubt he's a promising player, but surely an out and out winger should the preferred target rather than yet another player who wants to play in the 'hole'?
