  1. Correct me if I'm wrong Count, but didn't Riise sign a new contract last summer?
  2. I've see John Barnes and Jason Mcateer by ours a fair few times (usually in the pub), and I saw Steve McMahon in Formby once.
  3. It's a classic Mexican bandit look, he looks like one of the badies out of The Wild Bunch "Hey Gringo, you sign contract yes?"
  4. Nice one people. Looks impressive.
  5. Can someone send me a few pictures, including those mobile shots if possible
  6. Is right. Can't wait to hear the album. I think Ashcroft's solo stuff is pretty good, Alone With Everybody is a boss album and he really lets his soul influences shine through. Does anyone know if they're playing Liverpool?
  7. I don't listen to much new music mate but one artist I can't recommend highly enough is Devendra Banhart. His music is superb, three albums to start you off are Rejoicing in the Hands, Nino Rojo and Cripple Crow.
  8. Addidas or Puma, you can't go wrong with those boys. I got a pair of Fred Perry's around Christmas but they're shite, fell apart after about a week.
  9. I'd just woken up after a long day at Knowsley hall when I posted that so your right to highlight my poor spelling, and I did pass my course thank you very much. The point is not is that the crimes of the past can be used to defend the anti-social behaviour you're refering to but more that it is undoubtably going to have repercussions when the natives try and adjust to a society and culture that is alien to them. We are talking about a race of people who were living perfectly happy lives as hunter gatherers and suddenly forced to live their lives the way a westerner would, that's if they weren't murdered. Also I think you should know that it was the British army who colonised Australia, that includes the Scottish.
  10. The major problem regarding alcohol within the abborigial communities is the fact that it was completely alien to them before Australia was colonised, so inevitably their bodies had trouble adjusting to the effects of alcohol. Then along came the white settlers who decided to ply the aborrigines with booze along with small pox, syphillis (sp?) and anything else they could think of that might both weaken and eventually destroy the indigenous population. I studied a module about Australian history at university and like Hamstrung says the persecution suffered by the aborriginal population was appalling. I suggest A-G reads up on the treatment of natives in Tasmania and see what he thinks about those nasty abbos stealing his ice cream then.
  11. Face facts Knight, your poor attempt at creating an amusing thread has gone down like a sack of shit.
  12. Alright mate, got the day off work so what better way to spend it than browsing through the cyber treats of the TLW forums. How are you doing?
  13. Totti is not shit, he's a quality footballer. He's often failed to deliver in big tournaments but even when he's playing badly you can tell he's a cut above most players. I thought he had a decent world cup, especially in the semi final against Germany where he was superb.
  14. Merseyrail is like a fucking asylum if you get on it after 10 o'clock. If you go for a few beers in town and get the last train home you're guranteed to encounter a few mad heads.
  15. It's almost impossible to answer but if I had to stick my kneck on the line I'd go for Rain. It's the song that confirmed their transition from great pop band to musical innovators.
  16. Milito first came to my attention when I saw him on television the season before last, he really caught my eye. Every time I've seen him since I've been very impressed, there are players I'd prefer us to sign in this position but if we got him for a reasonable price I wouldn't be to dissapointed, as I reckon he's got both the physique and the playing style to be a success in England.
  17. The title of this thread is a little bit harsh. It's not Benayoun's fault we want to sign him.
  18. For a man who talks a hell of alot, Gillett is very good at not actually saying much.

  20. It's a pleasure to meet someone (in a virtual sense), who also shares the name of a serial killer. It's reassuring to know there are others out there Sutty lad.
  21. Not sure but if they do they're probably trying to put as much distance between the club and him as possible.
  22. Tom, Tom Hamilton to be precise. My namesake was responsible for the Dunblane massacre unfortunately, anyone else got any famous namesakes or should that be a seperate thread?
