  1. You can't really tell till the HD is out of the camera so you can see what sort of connections it has. But it's possible that once out, you may be able to get a USB adapter or something. The problem then, is that he data might not be saved in an easily readable format, e.g. some form of mpeg. It may require a camera to decode it n the fly as you export it via component, firewire, etc. Best to talk to JVC at this point. Also worth trying AVForums.com Home
  2. For those that like simple but tasty food... also if you're veggie or vegan... Prep and cooking time = 1 hour Skill level required - 2/10 i.e. the ability to chop food without amputating a couple of fingers and the ability to heat up a saucepan. Tomato and Onion Topping For Garlic Bread (Bruschetta) Ingredients 2 large firm tomatoes – on the vine if possible 1 medium onion Basil ( tube and /or fresh ) Light olive oil ( not virgin or extra virgin ) Method 1. Chop the tomatoes into quarters and remove the seeds and juice from the centre. 2. Finely shop the tomatoes. 3. Finely chop the onion. 4. In a bowl, mix the chopped tomato and onion together. 5. Add a little olive oil (1-2 tablespoons) so that all the pieces of tomato and onion are coated in olive oil. 6. Add plenty of finely chopped basil 7. Squeeze ½ a fresh lemon (small) into the bowl and mix thoroughly. Tomato and Red Pepper Pasta Ingredients Warning – this make lots of sauce – fine for freezing 8 large firm tomatoes – on the vine if possible 2 sweet red peppers (the long ones) – ordinary red peppers if you can’t get the sweet ones 2 large onions ½ bulb of garlic Olive oil Dry penne pasta Method 1. Chop onions roughly 2. Crush the garlic 3. Chop up and de-seed the tomatoes – save the juice 4. Chop up and de-seed the peppers 5. Heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil in a large saucepan for a minute or so 6. Throw in the onions 7. Once they start softening a touch, chuck in the crushed garlic 8. Cook until the onion just starts to brown 9. Add in the chopped tomatoes and chopped peppers 10. Add any juice you saved when de-seeding the tomatoes – and 1 glass of water. 11. Cover and leave to cook for 15 minutes 12. Blitz / liquidise the mixture and chuck it back in the pan 13. Add salt to taste 14. If the tomato mixture has gone a bit sharp / acidic, add a little sugar 15. Add some oregano 16. Add lots of basil 17. Freshly crushed black pepper - to taste 18. Taste and add salt/sugar/herbs to taste 19. At this point you’ll have lots of sauce. In a separate pan, add your cooked al dente pasta and then pour some of the sauce over it. Stir and cook for 2-3minutes. Optionally, you can add some grated cheese while the pasta takes on the sauce. Stir thoroughly 20. Let any unused sauce cool. Once cooled, freeze for future use. Anyone interested in proper Indian recipies? I have a few that I made up and the family and friends love.
  3. Code72 was whispering in Owen Coyle's ear all game long.
  4. Bloody hell, you could have used some lubrication.
  5. Absolutely. As I posted a couple of pages back, Roma seemed to knacker all their players by ignoring niggles and rushing them back too quick. They already had Aquilani working with the ball just before the transefer. Rafa put a stop to it and are giving him a proper chance to get properly mended. I reckon Houllier used to rush Owen back too quick as well. We had no other reliable goal scorers after he sold Robbie and all the pressure was on Owen.
  6. Put the UV filter on first an leave it permanently attached if you wish. It can act as a protector for the front element of your lens. The polariser is darker and will reduce the amount of light hitting the film/sensor and that's no good. Only use the polariser when you want to cut out reflections, increase contrast between sky and clouds, etc.....
  7. Sorry to hear that Mr Sex. Similar accident happened to me 2 1/2 years ago. Royal Mail lorry ran into the back of my car on the motorway - the twat accelerated to change lanes while I was braking to exit at the next junction. Only after pressing the accelerator, the twat forgot to change lanes. My motor was in a simlar state to yours - written off. They generally won't let you take the other side to the cleaners because there are agreements between the companies as to how the deal with things. Don't use the lawyers that your insurance company gives you - find your own - if you're in England, I know some good ones. The insurance companies have a load of law firms that treat you like a number and aren't interested in gettting the best result for you - you end up on a conveyor belt. They make their money from volumes, whereas the decent ones, get as much for you as possible, because it increases how much they claim in fees off the other side. If I were you, I'd contact a decent lawyer asap, to handle it, because insurance companies are all cunts.
  8. He might not have been mad. He could have just been a big lying bastard. Or he could have been a mad lying bastard... :monkeyconfused:
  9. Ford in the UK got caught doing the same thing a few years back.
  10. OK.... The reason you cannot group there is that all the data is different. So you need to create an extra column for each field that you may want to group by. For example, if you want to group by "month" and also by "hour", then you need an extra column for each one. If the first date and time is in A2, - In the next column, i.e. B2, create the formula =MONTH(A2) - Tthis gives you ther month number, e.g. 1 for January, 2 for February, etc. - In the next column, i.e. C2, create a formula =HOUR(A2) You can then create your pivot table to group on these columns.
  11. I posted elsewhere on this forum last week that Roma seem to have injury problems that have been attributed to the training methods and medical care. Reading the Roma forums, a lot of criticism is directed toward Spalletti and the Roma staff. I'm sure if you do a search, you'll find the relevant exerpts form the Roma forums/blogs. Apparantly, new players have been joining the club and then turning to glass. Before Aquilani signed for us, the Roma medics had cleared him for training. Our medical staff have stopped him doing the training and appear to have got him working in the gym, swimming pool, etc to build general fitness. Apparently, it's too early to resume normal training and could make the injury worse. Apparently, with this latest ankle injury, he'd reported a minor niggle and the Roma doctors told him to carry on training as normal. It aggravated the injury and made it so bad, he needed an operation. I think it's going to be a csase of wait and see. [EDIT] Right, I've decided that you're all lazy bastards, so found he post myself: The irrelevant bits have been chopped out - full article: The Problems Mount - - The Offside - AS Roma Calcio Blog
  12. Freesat gives you a load of free satellite channels - many of which are also available on Freeview though he arial. As the name implies, FreeSat comes through a satellite dish and some of the Panasonics have the decoder built in. This means, you plug the cable straight into the TV instead of a settop box - and no monthly subs to pay. ITV2 show their Champions League matches in HD, if you watch it on FreeSat - simply press the red button on your remote and the HD service kicks in. ITV2 via FreeView (through the arial) doesn't have the HD service.
  13. It does depend entirely on which particular models you tested though. £800 for a 37" is a lot of money. For example, £860 will get you one of the last 37" Pioneer Kuro sets - if you can find one. They are head and shoulders above everything else. BTW, Pioneer are out of the TV game, and have sold their patents and technology to Panasonic, though too late or the current range of Panasonics, I think.
  14. Except most people forget to claim the warranty money back after the 5 years. Once it expires, you've got 6 months to claim it or lose it. A lot of places do the same thing.
  15. The 42" Panasonic plasma screens are brilliant - £799 for full HD and £899 for full HD with FreesatHD decoder built in. Buy PANASONIC TX-P42S11B | 42" plasma tv - Television | Comet Buy PANASONIC TX-P42G10B | 42" plasma tv - Television | Comet
  16. Ian Sea, I think a very large part of Aquilani's fee will be based on appearnces - much more so than most contracts. Whereas most contracts will include additional payments to the selling club for trophies/titles won. So although the headline figure is £20m, the basic figure could be much, much lower. Don't forget that while the papers are reporting the Alonso sale as £30m, didn't the Echo (TB) say that it's £30m + £4m. So if we're saying that Alonso is £30m, then Johnson should rightly be quoted at £12m-£14m and Aquilani at <<<<< £15m. Take all that into consideration, and there could be a discrepancy of easily £10m+ in what we've actually spent this summer, especially on the Aquilani deal. Considering the above and various sales e.g. Leto, Hamill, etc, we should still have a fair amount left over and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if we did go for Silva.
  17. Look at the first post I've quoted. It always starts there. And the cunt negs me because his shit arguments don't hold water.
  18. This thread sucked, starting from post number 1. It seems most threads on the FF suck nowadays.
  19. Because he has a set of portable goalposts. He'll be moving the fairly soon I should imagine. He had them made specially because his arguments are so weak, my daughters, aged 11, 8 and 6 make more sense than him.
  20. I'd agree with that. But we did get close, and in the end it was a lack of quality that cost us. People are talking about a top class replacement for Torres, but forget that he was out for considerable periods. Same with Gerrard. Even so, we scored more goals than any other in the league. Obviously all those draws cost us bigtime. Even when we were attacking, we couldn't past those parked buses. Alonso couldn't help us break those teams down. However, Yossi's goal against Fulham showed that what we need is an extra little spark when you can't break teams down. With 2 holding midfielders covering for our defence, and at least one attacking full back in Johnson, we should be able to play a fairly attacking game. A clever player between the lines and who could play across the front 4 would do us a world of good. In fact, I think we'd be favourites for the title. Unfortunately, it's going to tak a little more money that has been previously available if we're going to land Silva.
  21. Thank you Mr. Catch. Saved me lots of typing. Reppage owed - have to spread some first.
  22. Again, picking facts to suit your agenda. You're a fucking tiresome bore. Find another stick to use.
