  1. Waddle no. They lost the final on penalties v Red Star Belgrade when he played.
  2. Can't read that site, it's been deemed NSFW by the filters here. Can anyone copy/paste please?
  3. Agree with Section 31 on this. I was reminded on seeing the thread title of the Alan Partridge episode where he slags off farmers. Chris Morris guests ,and Alan asks him how many friends he has,"it doesn't matter - "well I've got 104 friends"
  4. Maybe funny for you, but for Irish Reds the prospect is frightening to say the least. I spat out my lemonade when I saw that. Should his quote not have read 'I've been long enough out of it now and I feel it would be perfect for me and hopefully for them. I've made some enquiries,' It's a national team manager's job, not a retirement fund for aul soaks. Fuck off Kendall.
  5. Crybaby. Himself and Chelsea seem to be made for each other.
  6. Wonder did the SFA offer Celtic a postponement of last Satuday's fixture? :D By the way, I think the matches should be played when they're fixed, just leads to more congestion ( and possibly more injuries ) later on in the season. Seems to me to be a bit smalltime, I can never remember, although I'm open to correction, any English club ever doing it.
  7. SSN just showed him scoring a class goal for Villa reserves. Collected a throw in on the right, beat his man and hit a left footer into the far corner from 25 yards.
  8. Is the right answer. Win the league and the CL and the cunts would still be moaning about boring football.
  9. Got to be Cliff. Elton would have a hissy fit and leave the ring.
  10. Jesus a 4-0 win and the best ratings are two 8s. Maybe if we won 8-0 someone might have got a 9.
  11. Number 10, for pretty much the same reasons as Adam S.
  12. Just got my ticket, will be out on the pitch. Looking forward to this one!
  13. Thanks Gav, according to TB not on sale until the 27th.
  14. When are the tickets due out, or have they already gone on sale?
  15. Ending of Sco v Ita - Eyeties get a winner from a (highly dubious) freekick. Scotland couldn't defend said free kick so that's why they didnae qualify. Well what about Ferguson's goal given (clearly offside ) vs Di Natale disallowed. Typical example of Sky dicks covering over the fact that Scotland ultimately were not good enough. Did well to get as far as they did however.
  16. Heard you the first time
  17. How the fuck are they showing West Ham before our match? Sky obviously believe relegation certs losing to a midtable outfit ranks above us. Clowns.
  18. From http://www.football365.com You would think they were in contention for trophies on three or four fronts. Don't be surprised if Luton knock them out. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everton's assistant manager Alan Irvine insists the Blues have their sights set on Carling Cup glory this season, beginning with tonight's fourth round tie against Luton. The Merseysiders travel to Kenilworth Road looking to secure their first quarter-final appearance in five years. Irvine believes the Carling Cup's prestige has been restored with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all reaching the final in the last three years, and Irvine says Everton are determined to go all the way in this season's competition. "We've been disappointed with our cup performances in recent years and it's something we're hoping to improve on this season," he said. "We believe the Carling Cup is very important and I think the fact the big four are winning it again shows they treat it as being important again as well. "It's an opportunity to get into Europe and a springboard to further success, and I don't see people being too disappointed at going to the Carling Cup final. "I think if we got there our fans would be absolutely delighted." Everton's last cup success was the 1995 FA Cup and their last quarter-final appearance was a 3-0 defeat by Middlesbrough in March 2002, just a week before manager David Moyes took charge. Moyes and Irvine have since transformed the club and with Everton's recent injury problems almost clear, the Blues' number two believes they now have a squad capable of challenging for silverware. "We haven't made much of the fact we've been missing key players at certain times," said Irvine. "It's good to have most of them back now and the ones who aren't fit aren't out for much longer. "It's our third game in six days and this is when we really do need to have a squad of fit first-team players. "We've been badly stretched in recent seasons, our bench hasn't had that depth, but now we've got players that can come on and make a difference. "We now have the luxury of having a lot of first-team players to choose from and to change our system." Full-back Leighton Baines (ankle) is out while Everton's only other confirmed absentee is striker Andrew Johnson, who is expected to return to training next week following ankle surgery.
  19. Too right he has. Was it not the Chelsea semi in '05 when some dickhead ran onto the pitch and jumped into the goal?
  20. Roma should definitely have got a draw from all their chances near the end. Anyway getting back to the thread title, what was the correct answer? I missed the first half.
  21. Sean Connery said she was "a shight for shore eyes"
  22. Daft Punk - Da Funk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktPHIqW2sxs Metallica - Enter Sandman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRYDetbwegs Sonic Youth - Mildred Pierce The first always brings me back to a Paris nightclub called La Locomotive in 1998 ( dancing to it drunk on the stage at 5 AM ) while the second two take me way back to my student days in the early 90s. Brilliant thread I have to say!
  23. Reminds me of the UCD Superleague in Dublin, where teams such as Screwe Alexandra and Muff Divers have taken the field in the past.
