  1. Let him dream, I like the optimistic Red Nick. That said, I don't think Pennant will score more than 5. But then again, I didn't think we'd ever get rid of Cheyrou, so dreams do come true.
  2. The one and only. Saw him in a terminal in LAX back in 2001. Nice guy, but doesn't like being called AC.
  3. I think you could teach Rashid a thing or too about doleing out street justice. But seriously, I whole heartedly agree with you. I never understood fans of other teams going on to a site to just rile another teams supporters, it must make for a sad existance when that's what is considered "fun".
  4. I think he did that on purpose. It was all an act to set the final up to be another heart stopper. He knew we had raised expectations so he and Reina decided to let West Ham feel like they were in control by giving them a few goals, only to cause another miraculous final. Would you have been happy with a boring 6-0 win? Me either. ;)
  5. My name's Brandon. I'm 23, I've lived in Austin, TX for the last 13 years. My family got digital Cable in '99, and I started watching EPL games on Fox Sports World, and after the first LFC game I saw, I was hooked. I follow the Reds religiously now, and for a while I thought I was going to lose my job because I kept getting caught watching goal videos on the Internet, but fortunatly, my new boss is a huge Liverpool fan, and will often stop by and ask me to show him highlights from games using my E-season Ticket, which I've had for 3 years now. EST is an American Red's best friend. I came across TLW at the suggestion of a fellow poster on the offal forums, though his name escapes me at the moment. Ah, found him "YoungJedi" that was his name. I grew tired of the doom merchants on the offal, and he and I generally posted possitive views. He said I'd enjoy the level headed thinking on this board. The bastard pull a fast one on me. ;)
  6. Even though it was of no importance, this goal is one of the most amazing I think I've ever seen. How did he get it to bend like that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8wbGYUcAD4
  7. I'm looking forward to having a son for one reason more than any other. I just can't wait for the day I look down at my son on a Saturday morning with his LFC top on and seeing his bright beeming smile while watching the Reds play. My boy is going to go with me to the local pub and watch the Reds at 6:30AM, and he is going to enjoy it whether he likes it or not. That is if I can't find a way to end up in Liverpool before then. Anyone know of any Entertainment lighting design/ manufacturing firms looking to hire a young ambitious American male?
  8. Seriously?! :wallbutt: :telloff: At least I have one more reason to hate him (aside from the obvious reason that hes a very overrated footballer who somehow believes his own hype, although he must cry himself to sleep each night knowing that he can never be as good as our Stevie. Even if Stevie lost both legs and arms.)
  9. talk all you want about footballers, I still met AC Slater.
  10. Is this a pre puke total, or a post puke total? I have a bad habit of drinking about 7 or 8 in a couple of hours, then puking, then drinking another 4 or 5. Although, my personal record is 14 12oz cans of various beers and 11 shots of various liqours. I can also drink a liter of any Vodka you put in my hand.
  11. But that's the great thing about the commentary, sure it's great to watch a game and analyze our play, but I love the way he turns every voyage into the opponents half into edge of your seat action. You feel like a kid again when you listen to the Steve Hunter's commentary, like the Red's play every team off the field. None of this being rational guff, when you listen to him you just know our boy can win it whatever the odds.
  12. You're correct, I linked the wrong thread, appoligies to all. I am an idiot, and I'll try harder next time. Here's the right one: http://forum.liverpoolway.co.uk/showthread.php?t=35047&highlight=yanks
  13. Here is the link: http://forum.liverpoolway.co.uk/showthread.php?t=33739&highlight=yank
  14. This was posted about a week and a half ago.
  15. Carrick's a good player, but if he's harassed by an energetic midfielder or striker, he seems to forget how to pass. He can't create space for a pass like Xabi, that's why he needs someone like Davids to do the dirty work. If the mancs leave that to Scholes, he only play about half their games this season, and miss the other half through suspension.
  16. Seven subs with 2 required acadamy players? I think that'd be a brilliant idea. In games where we have a sizable lead, you could bring on one of the young lads, and let him get some experience. If the leads not there, at least you've still got 5 experienced players still on the bench.
  17. I'd love to go, but I've not got the cash to fly across the Atlantic for a game that wouldn't be at Anfield. I figure my first match should be at Anfield.
  18. I literally just LOL. The girl in the cube next to me did a peek over, and when I tried to explain my reason for the outburst, she gave me a look like I was crazy, and slowly lowered herself back into her chair.
  19. 8mil total. The 8mil includes the performance based add ons.
  20. I wish I could say I did, but alas, I was a bit star stuck and stumbled out with "dude, you're AC Slater", while my buddy (who was significantly more composed) said "AC , you're my hero!" It was a defining moment of our lives.
  21. I once met Mario Lopez (AC Slater) at LAX. Nice guy, he signed an autograph, chatted for a bit, and then told me not to call him AC.
  22. How hot is it there? It's only 10:00AM here and it's already 81, it'll end up being 90 within 3 hours, and this is considered cool here for this time of year. I gotta move.
  23. It's been stated over and over and over again, but for the first time since he lifted the UEFA cup, he looks genuinly happy. It's so much easier to work your balls off when you've got a smile on your face, and I think that's what were seeing here. Everyone knows he never wanted to leave, and I'm going to look at this as though Robbie took a long vacation.
  24. He's always spoken fondly of Liverpool, and for that I'm greatful to him, and wish him all the best in his endevors, but one wild card per squad is enough. Based on recent history, I'm glad we have Bellemy instead of Anelka.
  25. Don't ban him straight off Dave. Make him write a 10 page essay on why hairband's are not gay, but make him write it as though he wears one. If he refuses, Change all his posts to say "I'll take Rooney's sloppy seconds anyday!" Without smilies so as not to be confused with him joking.
