  1. Its like the reverse of our away kit about 97-98. White Shirt with red on shoulders and arms. I think Vegard Heggem scored a cracking goal against Boro wearing it.
  2. Did Arsenal get their shiny new stadium for nothing or did they have to borrow to build it? Looks like they have a large debt as well.
  3. Well Hargreaves is playing tonight for the Mancs in the Super Cup but then wont be able to play for England next week according to Fergie. Wonder if Durham will call him a bottler?
  4. Do what i do. Dont watch any build up on Sky. When the match starts change the audio options so you dont have to listen to Andy Gray and turn over when the match is finished.
  5. Before the internet there were a lot of teams that we played that i had no particular opinion about but it seems that before every match we play now, you can find knobheads doing the usual scouse thieving bollocks on footie websites. It wasn't always like that.
  6. ... its only footballers houses on Merseyside that get robbed. The partner of footballer Emile Heskey was threatened at knifepoint by robbers at the couple's home. The house in Hale, Greater Manchester, was targeted by two men while the Wigan Athletic and England striker was at a training session last Wednesday. The men stole jewellery before they took the keys to the footballer's BMW X5 and made their escape. Heskey, 30, said his fiancee Chantelle Tagoe had been left "very upset and shaken" by the incident. The forward said he and Ms Tagoe wanted to put the "ordeal" behind them. In a statement, he said: "I am very glad and relieved to report that my partner, Chantelle, was not hurt and my children were away from the house at the time of the incident. "Chantelle was obviously very upset and shaken by what happened and is still very, very distressed but we both just want to put the ordeal behind us and get back to normality." He added: "The incident is being investigated by the Greater Manchester Police and we are confident they will capture the culprits to stop them doing this again to any other families. "If anybody does have any information or think they can help in any way please contact the police immediately." A Wigan Athletic spokesman said: "We can confirm that there was an incident at Emile Heskey's home. Thankfully no-one was hurt." 'Victims of crime' A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Officers discovered a woman had been threatened at knifepoint after two men broke into the address. "The men escaped with a number of items in a stolen BMW. "Inquiries are continuing." The Premier League player started his career with Leicester City, before moving to Liverpool in 2000. He went to Birmingham four years later and has been playing for Wigan since 2006. His statement continued: "We are both very conscious that many people are victims of these kinds of crimes everyday and my thoughts are with anybody who has gone through what my family is going through at the moment. "But as I say, the event is in the past, I would like this statement to be the end of the matter and draw a line under it and get on with our lives." 7. Its funny hearing mancs use self pity when it comes to us - the popularity of their club was built on grief and pity after Munich.
  8. I've no problem with OOT's supporting Liverpool, its people who follow the club but disrepect the city and scousers in general. People who go the game with Liverpool tops on who read the Sun, wear curly wigs or make jokes about hubcaps etc while at the same time claiming to follow the club make me sick.
  9. The thing is if the ponce does go for a huge amount then when the Mancs try to bid for players it will be like when Chelsea do - everyone knows they are loaded so clubs will add 10m minimum onto the price. You could see them paying through the nose for the likes of Benzema. Lyon held out for 25m for Essien. You would think it would take a lot more for a young striker.
  10. He was my favourite player of the Souness era. I remember when we signed him and his first match was against the Mancs at OT and at the time Giggs was just emerging and the press were proclaiming him as 'The New George Best'. Rob had him in his back pocket all match. If it wasn't for his injuries then that bumfluff moustachioed twat Neville would only have had a fraction of his England Caps (not that I really care about England).
  11. Dont worry, he'll be going to a place that he's never been to before very soon.
  12. Lets hope things are looking up. From the Beeb An agreement has been reached between Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid and now the Spanish club have to convince Manchester United to sell. (Spanish sports paper Marca, 1350)
  13. I think Anelka would be brilliant in our new formation. Torres up front with Babel, Gerrard and Anelka on the right. I remember when he was here and there was one game against Newcastle where we won 3-0 and we played with Heskey, Owen and Anelka on the right and he absolutely tore them to shreds.
  14. I remember after Istanbul being told by a load of bitter Mancs that you shouldnt win such a big game on penalties. Somehow I dont think they'll be saying that now. At least we are showing a little bit more class than the Mancs did when we won in 2005. Anyone remember Red Issue going offline for a few days after Istanbul with 'Football is Dead' on their front page?
  15. On the BBC website they also had interviews with Vidic and Rooney about Drogba. Vidic was going on about Drogba diving (hello Ronaldo) and Rooney said something about Drogba 'losing his head'. Bunch of hypocrites.
  16. 20 players surrounding the referee and screaming at him over a throw in. No thanks.
  17. I used to read the letters on there but the the usual routine is: some manc or cockney slags off LFC (normally with a sly dig at the city), some reds write in to defend themselves and then the Mancs & cockneys then reply with some 'self-pity' or hubcap shite. Its the website equivalent of Soccer AM. Full of absolute beauts.
  18. It was also in the middle of the Russian off season.
  19. I think it gone from 60-40 in our favour at one-nil to 40-60 in their favour at one-one.
  20. That goal was thanks to makelele. For years he has been getting free kicks by jumping into players and then hitting the ground looking for a foul and getting it 99% of the time. the fuckin dwarf tried jumping into thin air to get a free kick.
