  1. Fabinho was probably our best player post lockdown.
  2. Let's be a bit honest with ourselves. Origi is shocking 9 times out of 10.
  3. Why teams with a negative goal difference are higher than those on 0
  4. Where's the exaggeration? Wijnaldum should have scored 2, Bobby likewise, and Mane could have had a hattrick. VVD got another which for me was dubiously disallowed, while Leeds scored ALL their clear chances, 2 of which involved the rub of the green. Some of our fans are proper shit sometimes.
  5. Reminded me of Norwich last season. Only difference is they got the rub of the green with their first goal, and a blue moon VVD error for the second. Their 3rd was only made possible because they were chasing an equaliser. Had we won 6-1 or 5-2 or 4-0, which is a much better indication of how the game panned out, fuck all would have been made of it. 3 points and we're off an running.
  6. Doesn't mince his words there, Simon Jordan. Pretty spot on too.
  7. This. Absolutely no chance of Chelsea getting anywhere near us or City.
  8. Gérard Houllier took money from the club through his brother -in-law every single time he bought a player from Ligue 1. Allegedly. He can get to fuck. Oh, and his football was shite. NB - the use of the word allegedly is to avoid any potential trouble
  9. Swapping them will cost us more, and the closer that gap, the more likely it will happen. Otherwise we'll keep Gini for another year and get Thiago on a free next.
  10. Houllier does and Paisley doesn't by the looks of things.
  11. As I said, if Houllier is your only defence, I'll rest my case.
  12. Speculative on your first point, and irrelevant on your second. If Houllier (especially minus any direct quotes) is your only defence, then I'm happy to rest my case.
  13. Apart from hardly ever being fit when we've need him, you mean.
  14. We're going to batter everyone all over the place.
  15. I think we will certainly adapt our style. We've evolved year on year with how we set up and approach games, and common sense says the next step is to dominate WITH the ball against the top sides. It's the only thing we're not THE best team in the world at doing, and this guy helps us do that. The way we set up our midfield is unsustainable because of the work rate they go through. Everyone (bar Gini) has picked up injuries there, Lallana became broken, and Keita may follow suit. Part of the reason the front 3 and full backs stay fit is down to the work put in by the middle 3. That has to change if we are to evolve, and the signings of Keita, Minamino, and the left back point towards that.
