Yeah I probably agree with that. He is pretty bad at playing other people in (particularly Darwin) and 98% of the time looks to cut in onto his right foot rather than going where the space is. I think the balance in attack is probably ok though, as Mo has become more of a creator and luckily it turns out Darwin is an assist machine. I would have Jota Nunez Salah as our front three if everyone was fit, with Diaz first off the bench. I reckon Klopp would as well.

The bullshit justification of it all just makes it worse “he got a touch on the ball first” when everyone has seen that a) he probably didn’t and b) that hasn’t mattered in dozens of decisions already this season. Definite penalty on Macca at the end. Diaz should have scored when Mo played him through, and there was really no need for Darwin and Mo to be offside on the other two goals we had ruled out. Gakpo should also have just rolled it to Diaz right at the end who was in acres of space. Played well, didn’t win.

I just watched the highlights and Mo was clearly onside - good half a yard.
