  1. Eggs & Bacon look great and the lack of beans even more so. The elephant in the room is the worrying lack of sausages and the, frankly, bizarre plate
  2. A lot of it would change mainly for the worse and Government spending on health, social services etc would fall sharply Ironically, a lot of the young graduates who are so keen on Indy would be the first on the train down South chasing the income But after re-joining the EU in 10 - 15 years there'd be plenty of scope to start re-building and EU capital inflows would help a lot. A choice would need to be made as to whether they'd like to be like Ireland with very low Company taxation or like Scando with high taxes/high services
  3. I'd echo what mgw100 said. Long term an indy Scotland would be fine, short to medium term they'd be fucked I'd worry about the currency, my pension and mortgage and all the upheaval, bitterness and instability independence would bring. I'd also worry about the lack of transparency in the SNP and the talent after Sturgeon. Also, the brain drain going South which would be inevitable certainly initially
  4. Finance £15 billion Engineering £6 bill Business Services £15 bill Aerospace £4 bill Lifesciences £2.4 bill Oil & Gas £9 bill Creative Industries £4.4bill Tourism £3.9 bill Chemicals £1.4 bill Textiles £0.4 bill
  5. Tourism Whisky Finance Engineering Heroin
  6. It's been mentioned here before but I don't think Liverpool is the best place for chippies. Great Chinese takeaways but I think places like Widnes and St Helens has better chippies
  7. First thing I do when returning is to buy me some fish, chips & gravy The fucking southern peasants, and I include my missus in this, have no concept or inkling of the joys of a good chippie gravy
  8. When Harry met Sally Old classic. First time I've seen it in at least 20 years, still great 9/10
  9. Generally like women wearing glasses but they don't do her any favours at all, She looks great here
  10. It's been fucking freezing down in Oxford where I am
  11. Coldest April in 60 years, apparently. This weather is really pissing me off
  12. Another important factor in all of this is that the young and the disadvantaged just don't vote Some of them vote, obviously, but if they voted in anywhere like the same numbers as the over 60s then we'd have perpetual Lab Govt
  13. House ownership is key. Down south unless you have reasonably wealthy parents it's next to impossible to getting on the housing ladder, this will be a problem for the Tories at some stage
  14. You can't really reason with a man who relies on foodbanks and votes Tory, they're beyond help
  15. Sorry, Champ, was thinking about my missus who is 5' nothing and mad as a box of frogs No heightist thoughts were aimed at your good self
  16. You have to be careful with short people. They breathe the swamp infested air near the ground which can cause brain damage and on top of their already smaller brains this can cause many cognitive issues and lead to eventual madness
  17. I fucking hate the Mancs. Fuck them the fucking cunts I hope their shit club is bankrupted and they all get bad shithouse dog aids
  18. I've had a Toyota for the last 10 years. The parts are really pricey but it's never gone wrong ever... amazing machine. Not the best to drive but functional and goes forever
  19. That would deffo be a selling point with me - a good canteen is a thing of beauty I agree with you... too many variables at the moment but pretty sure office working 5 days a week is dead in the majority of workplaces
  20. I'll never do a job where they expect me in the office every day... fuck that Companies that don't offer hybrid will suffer in their recruitment with obvious exceptions like Goldmans
  21. When everything calms down it looks like I'm going to be in the office 3 days a week which sounds great to me I'm pretty new in the job so am looking forward to meeting everybody in the flesh and the office is in central Oxford so that'll be cool. Pain in the arse to get too, though
