  1. They were probably originally across his forehead.
  2. He's a bitter bluenose and the company he works for won't be satisfied until LFC are no longer regarded as one of the top 3 or 4 clubs in the country. We should either have a sticky or just ignore the twat and his obviously anti Liverpool bile, the cunts not worth the bandwidth imo.
  3. Stood on the Kop for LFC v WBA , the first Saturday home game of the 1977-78 season. I can remember Dalglish scored, can't remember the other scorers though. Final score 3-0 to the Redmen.
  4. Big one "It's a big one. I was going to be a big one whoever we'd drawn," he told Sky Sports News. "It's been a very long time since we've played them so it'll be a new one for us. "They did very well last year and are clearly doing well again in the Italian league this year, so it's going to be tough, but there are no easy ones at this stage. "They are a very, very good team, but every team at this stage is good. We'll take whoever we get." LINKAGE
  5. It was definately ***** bastard. Thought it looked like "jammy bastard" myself. That ref really pissed me off tonight.
  6. Firstly there's no way l want to see Benitez leave Liverpool whether he's sacked or leave's because of his differences with the yanks. I hate the way the club is being run at the moment by Hicks, Gillette, Parry i.e The new stadium being scrapped. the constant speculation on Rafa's position as manager. The pressure of this must surely get to him at some point. Its just not the Liverpool way is it, its not how we do things. But my thoughts on the Mourinho thing are l really don't think we would see the same Mourinho who was at Chelsea. Chelsea are a brash in yer face type of club from the trendy west end of London and the fans loved Mourinho for how he behaved down there and the things he said and did. I think if he came here he would be smart enough to realise that approach would'nt really go down well. I think would know he would need to be a lot more humble and respectful of certain things. He would know he is coming to a club with a fabulous history (as we have always reminded him). I dont think it would be long before he had the majority of the fans behind him. imho l think he would just adjust himself to the surroundings.
  7. My first LFC v manure game, 78 l think, souness,s first goal for The Redmen, thundered a volley in at the road end, the 85 semi at woodison also is etched in my memory forever
  8. ...Glowplugs, thats what they are..........turn on ignition, glowplug light comes on for a second or two, when it goes out start engine and drive away.
  9. Bass players are class.....they hold the whole show together http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMzXtizKcXY
  10. Yes you need it because when you order goes through your phone line. Unless you can phone using another line and speak to some one, not sure about that one.
  11. Thanks for the replies guys, even the ones that driftered a little bit of topic .Its really sad if its true he stopped going to the game because of the stick he was getting from fellow reds. He always was such a sound fella who lived and breathed LFC. Never saw the programme on granada but l can't really believe he would ever say anything like that. Maybe the programme makers twisted it a little, l dunno....... but we all know what the media are like.
  12. yeah you are right, shows how your taste buds change. Have you tried the "new even smoother galaxy " yet? Now that is seriously sickly stuff. Shame ...l used to like them.
  13. Hello. Done a search and can't find anything so..........does anyone know if big Jimmy Gardener is still around or goes to the games? Used to drink with him before the match in the little solly early eighties. About half a dozen of us stayed at his place on the friday night before the 86 cup final, iirc it was aylesbury where he was living at the time. I'm sure l heard he posted on here in the past. Cheers
  14. His passing is good but sometimes they lack a bit of pace to get where they are intended imo. Brilliant technique tho, once he finds his feet in the prem and gains a bit more experience l'm sure he'll be pinging passes all over. Great prospect.
  15. Yes we were in for him when he made it known he fancied moving south but obviously he chose arsenal and the London life. He could have had a sackful of medals and whenever arsenal came to Anfield the kop always gave him a hard time, which is where his bitterness probably comes from. Talks as much bile as Andy Gray imo
