  1. There are a number of different "answers" that would work IMHO. The problem is that everyone is clinging on to the one they believe in (or the one that suits them the most), and slagging off the ones who are actually DOING something (because they're not doing enough, doing it the wrong way etc. etc.). If everyone (or at least a majority) had put ther personal opinion aside and joined forces I'm sure a boycott would have worked, a protest march would have worked, a sit-in would have worked, protests during the match would have worked etc. etc.
  2. Shouldn't that be "Two, he made them a Champions League-winning team".
  3. The sending off saved our blushes. First half we were clueless, hopeless and played without any ambition. Second half the gunners appeared to think they'd get the three points on a plate, while our lads finally turned up and really gave it a go. Add to that a soft goal and we almost got the three points on a bad day. But to say we deserved to win it based on our second half performance is as valid as saying we deserved to lose because of our heartless, gutless, useless shitehouse first harlf performance.
  4. Good work SOS. And also well done to Graham Smith and PeeG on this thread for constructive and reasonable posting in the face of some really unwarranted hostility, accusations and abuse.
  5. Need some big performances from my lads today. Only 22 points after yesterdays games.
  6. Actually you can't substitute any player that has been sent off. Haven't happened to any of my players yet, so I think it's a good rule ;)
  7. Small country? Compared to what, China? Well, so is everyone else (bar India)!
  8. Quality ranting there Red Mist. I've been an ABB as long as I can remember. Not there fault really, they couldn't live up to all the hype in a million years.
  9. Really enjoyed this game. Can't remember having ever seen any important match on a high level played in such a fair and good spirited way. No snide fouls. No play acting. No moaning to the ref. Very refreshing. The Korean number 10 (Hong i think) was a joy to watch as well.
  10. It's explained in the "Rules" section (which I can't access from work). I think it's something like for every 3 stray passes -1 point, for (tree times) successfully delivering or receiving the ball in the box +1 point. This is from memory though, so probably not entirely accurate.

  13. Haven't agreed with a lot of your posts the last year, but this is spot on.
  14. Here's an in depth analysis from a season ticket holder at the time: Decent results. Not very exciting football. Did pretty well against "big" teams (Monaco for instance). Not so well against inferior opposition. He did have an immediate positive impact by getting a greatly underachieving team to perform on a decent level. Not much beyond that though.
  15. That's just plain wrong. Fulham has played some decent counter attacking football, true, but that is totally different from what is expected at a club like ours. I was a season ticket holder the two years he coached/managed Viking. The football was more often than not like what we've seen at Anfield this season. Boring, lacking of ideas and set out not to loose. He got decent results, nothing extraordinary (except, a few good results in the UEFA cup). It will probably be a little bit better than last season. However, it will never come close to the heights we've experienced under Benitez.
  16. Have you tried living in North Korea? I'm pretty sure you'd fit right in!
  17. It was the owners who failed to provide him with any transfer funds (for instance). Thereby holding him back. Do you still not understand?
  18. We need a proven winner who knows the Premier League. We can't afford to get this appointment wrong, and there is only one man who will absolutely certainly bring us the success we crave. You know who I'm talking about! This may be hard to swallow for some, but LFC is all about winning trophies. And this man knows all about it. Lets break the bank and sign up Alex Ferguson!
  19. He started a fight with the owners after Athens, and continued on and off until he eventually and inevitably lost. I'm sad to see him leave like this, but wouldn't have been very happy going into i new season with him in charge either. Pretty similar to my feelings when Roy Evans was forced out. Good luck Rafa! I'll keep an eye out for whichever club he manages next.
