If Rafa does get Nobby as part of the Baros deal,then that will leave alot more money available for a top class centre halve which is our weakest position.I've always had a big soft spot for Nobby and i thought he was quality at Newcastle.However,were we to get Hasan i would be extremely happy as like Josef said hes a top player playing in a league that is not too disimiliar to the premiership.Hes also got an excellent attitude and a winning pedigree.

This isn't a bad deal.Either the money could be put towards an Andrade class centre half or if we have more money than some people on here say than we could bring back MO.Milan has great potential but to my mind has never realised it with the exception of four weeks at Euro 2004.

Most Liverpudlians dont have any problem with people coming from other places as long as they support the team which guys like you definitely seem to do. 8) If anything Liverpudlians are suspicious of people from other parts of the country.I dont think Liverpudlians are as likely to be suspicious of people from other countries.

I'd go for Carra,Gerrard and Xabi straight off.Cisse would be a definite too.He'd be a right legend in a schoolyard.Maybe Stevie F because Xabi and Gerrard would get forward enough to support Djibbers.

Liverpool is a port city.Port cities all around the world have their own distinctive identity such as Marseille.A major reason for Liverpool being so distinctive is that most of the people in the city are of Irish descent.The city was built on slavery and famine.The Irish were hardly flavour of the month with the establishment and the other groups that came to the city in numbers such as the Welsh,the Scots,the Chinease and Africans weren't loved either.The reason that alot of the media hates us is because Scousers don't give a shit what they write about us and because we stick the two fingers up at them with our success.

Totally agree.Metzelder is pure class.Hes big and strong and has outstanding technique.Hes only 24 too.I work with some German lads and they reckon that hes one of the best defenders around.

I like Celtic.I was up there the day we played them in our first game after Hillsborough and their fans were absolutely fantastic.Unfortunately standards are slipping all over the country.The rivalry between Everton and Liverpool used to be fantastic but is now becoming disgusting.

Have to say Darren did fairly well.His passing on the whole was good and he sent in some good crosses.Would really like to see him given a game in the centre.Maybe Rafa could rest Gerrard for the second leg and let us see what he can do in his normal position.

Brazil were truly brilliant but when it really mattered a few weeks back the Argies tore them apart.I've got a strong suspicion in the world cup,Argentina would beat Brazil.I've seen most of the games and the Germans have some outstanding young players which is good to see because a shit Germany is no fun. :party:

I agree with much of what you say.We do need to sign big names this summer but lets just take a look at likely signings. Reina:Considered an outstanding prospect.Has played for the Spanish national team and is likely to get better.(A bit of a goalkeeping Del Horno if you like :yes: ) Milito:Considered one of the best centre halves in the Spanish league.Is Argentinian so should have no difficulty fitting into the physical demands of the English league. Kuyt:Banging the goals in for Feyenord and has played and scored for the Dutch National team.He is widely lauded by a number of Dutch greats such as Van Basten,Gullit and Koeman.Also Dutch players generall fit into the English league very well. After these three we've been linked with the good,the bad and the ugly.I do believe that these three(if we do sign them) will really enhance the team and all three are young.

He's a very good player who would do the job for us.Personally,without having seen him and going on what others are saying i'd prefer Kuyt.

Fair point but Inter seem to lack alot of substance.They buy loads of big name players that just cant play together.I'd say Emre would be a great success in the premiership.
