    I think the exact opposite is true, having it prepared showed it was deliberate and measured, if he had said it off the cuff then it would have come across as being rattled and desperate.

    I voted to keep him to the summer, I think adding 'no-one is bigger than the club' to the first option has swelled the votes. If he had wanted to leave he should have handed his request in earlier in the window, I dont think telling him to wait till the summer in any way makes him 'bigger than the club' in fact making him stay against his will shows him who is in charge. I said on another thread that in a way I dont blame him for wanting to go, but I do take issue with the timing of his transfer request, but and I maybe I am being naive or giving him more credit than he deserves, perhaps his request coming so late in the window was because he was giving the owners time to follow through on promises the previous regime had given him i.e. bringing in more quality players.

    Tell him he can fuck off at the end of the season when someone matches our valuation, tell him he is a dick for leaving it until 3 days before the end of the window. Apart from handing in the request so late in the window I dont really blame him, he came here to win trophies (leaving Athletico HIS team), we have only been close to winning one in the time he has been here, and the best we can manage this year is the Europa league. If he sulks/loses form he can sit on the bench until the summer. We'll still get good money for him. Then we can buy players who want to be here.

    I think the move here came too soon for him, he needed to be playing every week to continue to develop, I am sure there is a cracking player in there and I hope he goes on to prove it. Best of luck Ryan, now go and show the world the player you can be.

    Hard to argue with it, it was always gonna go to one of the Barcelona lads. The current Barcelona team is as good a club side as I have ever seen, they have taken the game to the next level, and for all their passing and attacking genius just watch how well they press to get the ball back when they lose it, hunting in packs everywhere on the pitch and no player thinks he is too good to do this sort of work either. They are all pulling in the same direction for the overall good of their team, despite having some of the greatest players on the planet in their team. They are just incredible to watch.

    He is as much entitled to his opinion of Merson as Merson is of him, for the record I think its good to see him sticking up for himself, and I hope Thommo or someone in the studio today lets Merson know what was said, would love to see the gummy wanker try to respond.

    The kid looks good, I dont think he passed the ball once, at that age not a problem the more he has the ball at his feet the more he will develop technique, he just needs the right coaching.

If Rafa came back the fans would be far from united, however with some of the whoppers on here I dont think anyone would unite us, bar Dalglish, who I would also have back. That said we have whoppers on here who would start criticizing him after a defeat.

    You keep posting but the poll results have been very consistent, you are in a minority and like its the minority that makes the most noise, always has been on here.

    I dont think this forum is necessarily anti rafa, its just the ones that are seem to make the most noise, the poll results are very interesting though. I think Rafa taking on Moratti would have only one result, and I am sure Rafa knew this. He has something in mind no doubt.
