  1. I have Holland. They are in a tough group but hopefully they will get through.
  2. Thanks, I shall have to watch it to see if I recognise any of the places.
  3. Where is the film set? I read in my tv guide that it was Grimsby, but I don't know if this is correct? I know the young actor is from there. I have recorded it, but I don't really like violent films.
  4. It was a travesty, no way should Raef have gone out. I didn't watch one minute of the match or the scenes afterwards. I haven't watched tv this morning and only found out who missed the penalties as it was on the radio. I don't know who scored the goals, and I every intention of never ever seeing any of their celebrations. So if that means I Sky+ and fastforward Sky Sports for the next couple of months, then that is what I will do. The only good thing about Chelsea losing is Fiona Phillips. Silly bitch.
  5. I won't be watching it, I will be watching The Apprentice at 9 pm, and most probably Britain's Next Top Model beforehand. I will then avoid Sky Sports News the following morning, or for the next couple of days if Man Utd win. I don't know why people would put themselves through the torture of sitting through it. It may be the European Cup Final, but it doesn't feel like it. It isn't the same having 2 teams from the same country.
  6. No, I couldn't live without Sky Sports. I just don't watch all the build up, or if it is Liverpool playing, I Sky+ it so I can fast forward all the crap. I do wish they would get rid of David Platt though. I really despise him out of all the so called experts they have on. I think I even prefer Paul Merson to him.
  7. I would like them or Hull City to be promoted, it would be something different. I would prefer Hull, as that would just be a short trip for me when Liverpool play there.
  8. I have to go for Chelsea to win. However, I won't be watching the final, I will be watching The Apprentice instead.
  9. Excellent read, that has lifted my mood, I feel a lot more optimistic about next week.
  10. I was totally pissed off last night and thought that was it, we are out. However this morning, I am feeling a bit more positive. Chelsea now think they have won it, their over confidence could be the key. No one will expect us to go there and win, but why can't we do it? The media and opposition always underestimate us and we are better when we are underdogs. Just because we never scored away in the previous 2 games doesn't mean anything. We didn't have to score then, now we do. I just hope the players still believe we can do it. I don't want them going there with a negative attidude, we have to forget about last night and just go out to win.
  11. I don't watch them unless it is a big game against Chelsea or Arsenal. It just winds me up so I don't bother anymore. I especially hate our games against them, I can't stand all the build-up and the hype. It will most probably be a crap game where they will score with a deflected goal in the last minute. Then again, we are due a good result against them, hopefully this Sunday. As for their fans, they are as thick as pig shit and ugly too.
  12. Oh my God! I was happy to share my birthday with Fernando, but Merson, urghh.....
  13. It has to be Schalke, I don't want another English team, especially Man Utd. I hate playing them, and I would rather someone else knocked them out. I don't understand why so many fans actually want them. It would be 2 games of torture, I don't think I could take the stress.
  14. No news on the takeover, but I thought this was more interesting: WICHITA, Kansas (AP) -- Deputies say a woman in western Kansas became stuck on her boyfriend's toilet after sitting on it for two years. Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said it appeared the 35-year-old Ness City woman's skin had grown around the seat. She initially refused emergency medical services but was finally convinced by responders and her boyfriend that she needed to be checked out at a hospital. "We pried the toilet seat off with a pry bar and the seat went with her to the hospital," Whipple said. "The hospital removed it." Whipple said investigators planned to present their report Wednesday to the county attorney, who will determine whether any charges should be filed against the woman's 36-year-old boyfriend. "She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body," Whipple said. "It is hard to imagine. ... I still have a hard time imagining it myself." He told investigators he brought his girlfriend food and water, and asked her every day to come out of the bathroom. "And her reply would be, `Maybe tomorrow,"' Whipple said. "According to him, she did not want to leave the bathroom." The boyfriend called police on February 27 to report that "there was something wrong with his girlfriend," Whipple said, adding that he never explained why it took him two years to call. Police found the clothed woman sitting on the toilet, her sweat pants down to her mid-thigh. She was "somewhat disoriented," and her legs looked like they had atrophied, Whipple said. "She said that she didn't need any help, that she was OK and did not want to leave," he said. She was taken to a hospital in Wichita, about 150 miles southeast of Ness City. Whipple said she has refused to cooperate with medical providers or law enforcement investigators. Authorities said they did not know if she was mentally or physically disabled. Police have declined to release the couple's names, but the house where authorities say the incident happened is listed in public records as the residence of Kory McFarren. No one answered his home phone number. The case has been the buzz Ness City, said James Ellis, a neighbor. "I don't think anybody can make any sense out of it," he said. Ellis said he had known the woman since she was a child but that he had not seen her for at least six years. He said she had a tough childhood after her mother died at a young age and apparently was usually kept inside the house as she grew up. At one time the woman worked for a long-term care facility, he said, but he did not know what kind of work she did there. "It really doesn't surprise me," Ellis said of the bathroom incident. "What surprises me is somebody wasn't called in a bit earlier."
  15. I can't view any pictures, all I get is a red cross or nothing at all. Is anyone else having this problem? Or is it like those magic eye pictures which only certain people can see, or pretend to anyway.
  16. Yes, what has happened to her? When she first started, she was quite attractive, but now she reminds me of that episode of Seinfeld with the pretty/ugly girl whose looks change depending on the light. She needs to sack her stylist. I prefer Matt Critchley, he is a lot nicer to look at.
  17. I didn't see him on Sky Sports this morning, but I know what he will say as he comes out with the same crap every week. David Moyes, he can piss off, but it is no surprise that Gale came out with that one. He is so anti foreigner, and I hate the way he always lengthens players names like Scotty, Davey, etc.
  18. I say Maths, well actually Maffs! I can't pronounce "th" properly, it is a Grimsby thing (fing). I try and avoid words with "th" which is quite hard.
  19. When I got to work, my signed picture of Sami had been knocked over, I should have sent that in! Slightly more interesting than a packet of biscuits!
  20. I was in bed and woke up to find the whole house was shaking, I thought there had been an explosion at one of the Oil Refineries or a gas main had gone up. It was so scary, my bed was shaking and then it was like being on the high seas. It seemed the floor was moving up and down. I got up and looked out the window but couldn't see anything. I couldn't get back to sleep for hours, my heart was racing, my legs felt like jelly. It was really horrible, and that was just a small quake compared to what they get elsewhere.
  21. I am so glad he is back and there was a happy ending.
  22. My cat went missing for 2 nights. I put flyers in all the neighbours doors asking them to check sheds and garages, and it turned out that he was locked in a garage. It was owned by some elderly man who hardly ever used his car, so he could have been stuck there for weeks. Luckily he checked his garage and saw Harry in the roof. He had made a bit of a mess of the car though, there were paw prints all over it! Hopefully, your cat will turn up safely as well.
  23. Maybe it depends on if you got the early edition, but the report in my paper did say the protest was about Rafa. I thought it was a bit strange when I read it.
  24. No contest, it has to be Chelsea. I would enjoy watching Everton lose to Spurs, but I don't want them to experience getting to a Cup Final. I couldn't bear seeing David Moyes walk out at Wembley, he is on a par with Ferguson for managers who you just want to smack in the face. I hope Spurs win as they play attractive football.
