  1. Seriously, can the greasy cunt not drive??? (Obviously not) Didn't he have another "incident" a few years back when he went "off-roading" in a big jeep on someones property? I can appreciate that Ferrari's are probably not designed to survive bumps and shunts, but I cant believe the level of damage and no injuries.
  2. To answer your original question...... In networking, when you connect 2 devices directly ( computers, printers, games consoles) you need a CROSSOVER ethernet cable. The cables used to connect devices to switches/hubs and routers are STRAIGHTTHROUGH cables. So Laptop directly to XBOX is a crossover cable.
  3. WTF! Surely this is bollox? Anyway, if your happy with Virgins service then do as previously suggested and blag yourself a new deal. Cable broadband is supposed to be far better than BT line. I have no option because my area is not Cabled up. I think its better the devil you know with regards to ISP's as it all depends on your own individual circumstances, ie distance from exchange, quality of line etc. I am with AOL (not universally liked I know but I'm happy with their level of service & quality). I was thinking of switching to SKY last year as i have full TV package so would have got it for nothing. The thought of having a hassle free switchover was putting me off and when I phoned AOL for migration code they reduced my subscription from £24.99 to £9.99 and updraded my max download speed. As I said, I could probably (definitely) pay less, but when you switch you just dont know how the new ISP is going to perform.
  4. Ecce Romani I believe. Used to be quite thin books if I remember. Ooopps, just seen G Richards reply, got there before me!!!! Damn! Damn! Damn! Did Latin for first 3 years @ grammar school. Always reminds me of that Monty Python sketch in Life of Brian! Double oooppsss! Just seen RJ's YouTube link! Stupidus Bastardus, mustus readus wholus threadus beforus postingus!
  5. It may depend on what source you were watching from Fobbie. Was it SD (Standard Definition), HD, Blu-Ray? If it was anything less than HD on an HDready LCD then it will look crap, especially on dark colours. Its basically just a flaw of trying to watch lower res images on a hi res display. Try watching some of the lower bit rate SKY channels and you'll see some truly awful images.

  7. I voted for 3rd behind Chelsea & ManU.........sorry. I still think we're the unknown quantity in the race as those other 2 have gone the distance before, thats why we're still not "fancied" by fans and the media and until we do eventually win it it will always be like that. I know its a bit chicken & egg but thats just the way of things. Remember ManU went through this sort of thing for a few years before they finally got the monkey off their backs in 1993. Most of us were just hoping for a proper challenge and to be "in the mix" this year. Up to now thats all we have achieved. I do feel that the points total will be the lowest for a fair few years this year due to the fact that from top to bottom the division is the most competitive since i can remember certainly. This means that as long as Villa, Everton & arsenal and the like remain competitive and even the lower teams as well, then points will be dropped by all teams.
  8. Graham Poll on 606 there tonight just basically said that yeserdays ref Chris Foy shit out of taking any action against Rooney/Ronaldo because he is in the frame to get the Carling Cup Final and wouldn't have wanted to annoy Ferguson, who Poll says DOES influence the allocation of refs!!! check it out on iplayer or podcast, first 10 minutes.
  9. Where do you get to vote for these countdown shows anyway??? Has anyone on here ever voted or know anyone who has ever voted for any of these programmes???? There was an Xmas hit one on VH1 on Christmas Day and we were having fun trying to guess which one would be the favourite/No.1. As Each suggestion appeared on the countdown one by one (you know, all the "classics" Band Aid, Bing, Slade etc) we became more and more intrigued. Guess what they had as No. 1???? Go on guess!....................... Mariah fucking Carey "All I want for Christmas"!!!!! Jesus wept.
  10. Petrov got booked for slabberin at the linesman in the Villa/arsenal games last night. Shrek spends the whole game giving the same verbals to officials nearly every game, fuck all done about it. Who is also first on the scene every time the ref is talking to either a UTD player or even a player on the opposition? Hmmmmm. Respect campaign my arse! Anyway, I'm convinced that refs notice these things and they will get their comeuppance some day.
  11. Amen brother! This was annoying me since seeing the match on sunday. IMO there is no reason why we couldn't have worn the all grey kit. I realise the only logical reason why this happened was because Arsenal had white shorts and socks so the powers that be (referee???) decided that there was not enough distinction between white and grey? WTF! I blame Arsenal. they were really selfish. Thwey need to decide if they wear red or white FFS! Just while I'm on one here, the Hull v Sunderland game same weekend both teams wore stripy shirts, black shorts and dark socks. The league should really come up with a proper policy here. On the Portsmouth issue, should it really matter if both teams wear red socks as surely the colour of socks is third in priority, ie, it the less area to be seen. Surely nobody has got confused because of sock colour? In wet conditions they all end up muddy clour anyway!.
  12. I think he's meaning that we are lunchtime kickoff on Sunday following 3pm KO on Boxing day which is only 45 hours.
  13. Uh.....yes (In primary not special class). My birthday is in February so I was 11 in Feb 1978 and started Grammar School in September 1978. You a problem with that? ;)
  14. WTF! Whats all this middle school shit? In my day it was Nursery school aged 3/4 onto Primary from age 5 to 11 and then onto Secondary (Grammar or Comprehensive) from 11 to 16. If you stayed on for A levels that took you to 18.
  15. This is Cantorii's year. Like our march to the CL in 05, its destiny! Splat shall not be denied.
  16. Might well have to be 9 pts as I cant see Chelsea dropping many against Everton (A), WBA (H) and Fulham (A). Best we could hope for there is draws against Everton & Fulham.
  17. Hello from "Mr Darkcloud" here! On a real downer about these upcoming games I'm afraid. I can't even get all christmassy yet because of the Arsenal game :( I think we'll be subjected to a Sky wankfest as Arsenal battle their way back into the title race with a gutsy win over the evil empire of scouseland that has the cheek to be leading their precious Premier League. Sky don't like us being up there and will do anything to spin the fact that we shouldn't be leading. Anyway, I think we should beat Bolton at home. God knows by the law of averages 4 home draws in a row is surely unheard of even by shite teams. Newcastle away......hmmmm could be a draw as they seem to be a bit more resilient at the moment and these holiday games sometimes throw up strange performances.
  18. Well, assuming the Mancs progress in cup competitions, they could be in the same situation we had last season with our game against West Ham due to CL qualifying. It was April before we could fit it in wasn't it? Also, they will have another game (Wigan H)to fit in due to the World Club Champs. Bit of fixture congestion for Fergie to start moaning about. Typical that they're both at home though against beatable opposition.
  19. Interesting, as it would put bigger teams together in the 3rd qualifying round. All well and good until the "big" teams fail to get into the group stage for a few years and then G14 will put pressure back onto UEFA. What happens to the UEFA cup though? UEFA go on about these being sporting events with no guaranteed success, but the way they have manipulated and devalued the UEFA cup in recent years is a travesty. In a way I'm in favour of cutting down qualification for these cups back to what is was in the day. So what if clubs take a hit finacially? The big clubs would get over it pretty quickly I'm sure and would bring a bit of financial reality back to them. It would bring back the "romance" for want of a better word to qualifying for europe, cut down on fixtures which the top clubs always complain about, and reinvigorate the Carling & FA cups to boot.
  20. Sorry cant post pics but Atic Atac and Knight Lore (but they did overuse the engine a bit in the later years). Lords of Midnight. I remember the first time I won a campaign, it was in the middle of the night Saturday/early Sunday morning. Just didn't realise the time and kept going for "just 1 more turn....". That game really sucked me in atmosphere wise. looking back at these old games just confirms the theory that gameplay is what counts and it isn't all to do with HD graphics and stuff. What they used to be able to do with 48K ......jsut think 48K!!!. The modern games must be around the 20Mb mark. Amazing!!!!
  21. I stand corrected Randy, but seriously watching BBc3 at 3am and staring up at the sky!!!! LOL!!!
  22. I dont think its possible to see satellites or such with the naked eye as they're just so high up and relatively small and moving so fast. Maybe with a telescope?
  23. Pepe's second only to Cech for clean sheets this last 4 years. What criteria exactly is Motty using for his assumption? Jeez, Given ahead of Reina in any way is just .......wrong.
  24. Another shut out for Fulham. And against an arguably more "dynamic" attack?
