  1. Can’t get out my mind that this is pure 1990’s Liverpool stuff. As you alluded to with the 4th in a 3 horse race. It’s massively reminiscent of that season. What does that performance say about those players who are going to one of your biggest rivals fighting for a title for a manager who they’re supposed to be willing to run through brick walls for. They’re a gang of absolute shithouses and there are players there whose performance I won’t forget for a long time. If they stay at the club.
  2. I agree that he is not the only one. But he’s also indicative of where we are now at as a team now. I think he’s Europa league level, alongside the likes of gravenberch, sobozlai, Gakpo and numerous others who can’t be relied upon. And you take away one of the world’s best managers and it’s a worrying prospect. I’ve been saying since the Man Utd cup game, these last few weeks have had the stench of a 1990’s Liverpool side. And that is no way all on Nunez, but he’s part of the problem not the solution in my opinion.
  3. Had exactly the same discussion with the lad sat next to me last night. When Diaz missed that chance he’s arguing why is it that he’s not getting as much stick as Nunez. But if the argument is that someone else is just as bad/culpable/ why isn’t he getting blamed. Then the lowering of standards is complete isn’t it and the level that we are accepting is nowhere near what we have been accustomed to previously under klopp. I think I’ve been fairly balanced on Nunez. I thought he looked really poor and raw when he first came in. He improved a lot and we looked a much more dangerous team with him in. That’s potentially still the case. But I think it’s fairly clear that he can’t be relied upon to be your main man for a title winning/ European cup winning team. Which is what we should be aspiring to be. Real top players turn up in the big moments and unfortunately Nunez has been found wanting in that department.
  4. Honest question, do you think we are ever becoming a league and European cup winning team with Nunez as a starting forward player? Because that’s the level we are aspiring to. Anything else is a lowering of standards and expectations from where we have been over the past 5 years.
  5. I’ve said to my mates all season, he will cost you in the big moments. And unfortunately that’s exactly what has happened. You just can’t have your main striker miss the chances he misses and then expect to compete for the big trophies. Anyone who tries to argue that you can is so far down the rabbit hole that they’ll resurface in Australia.
  6. City fans at the bernabeu are akin to the time I rocked up to what had been voted Spains best golf course 2019, rough as a bears arse and spewed up in the bushes outside the clubhouse. I paid to play the course, but I just did not belong there.
  7. And yet we still finished second in each of those years. Maybe this year the footballing gods have other plans for us, despite not being quite as good as previous!
  8. The fact that when we get kicked chest high studs up and the player gets a minor touch on the ball after our player, we don’t get a penalty
  9. That was villa away in 2019 that. The week before we played city at Anfield and the momentum swung from theirs to ours in the space of a few minutes. We have to win next week.
  10. I think it must be that it goes back to the goalie even if the opponent has the ball. That’s what happened in both cases today
  11. He did the exact some thing to us at the start of the second half when we had the ball. Myself and macallister were going fucking mad over it and he was gesticulating about the penalty area as though to suggest there was some shit rule that we’re not aware of. He applied that consistently in both scenarios anyway despite being a shit manc cunt
  12. The only positive I took from it was that generally you can go away to Arsenal, play well and still get beat. So if that was us throwing a stinker in, it wasn’t the worst game to do it rather than potentially having a repeat of the Leicester scenario from a few years ok. Its a big IF though
