  1. I absolutely love Porro, he's a fucking great full back or wing back. Lethal delivery.
  2. I don't actually feel the LDs or the Greens have bothered their arse to raise their profiles enough. The right wing groups are constantly talking, always prominent, but you've actually got to dig deep to find direct quotes from either party on what they would promise, or even their opinions on national and international matters. They could kick up a stink to the BBC about QT slots, but they seem happy in the shadows and picking up lost Tories and lost Labour. It's cowardly.
  3. Probably Tory. I'll allow it. I think Davey's in trouble, the LDs might have to ditch him before the election. They can't poll well as a party but immediately lose their leader, would look ridiculous.
  4. The Crow 6/10 Been a while since I last saw it, and only put it on thinking I'd only watch 20 mins and get bored but I ended up finding it enjoyable and time flew by. Plot: Failed Maroon 5 frontman grooms a 12 year old girl but is foiled by a gang of Tories who kill him and his girlfriend in some rape/robbery/bants visit to his wood-panelled gothic loft condo. Winston from Ghostbusters has become a policeman and he is annoyed by the murder. 1 year later, the guy rises from his grave and obviously this is right up Winston's alley, he's still annoyed by the murder and he's into ghosts. The ghost isn't a ghost, he's a bit like Batman and he wants to kill the gang who killed him and his wife. The 12 year old girl is still kicking around. The guy cannot be killed, bullets don't kill him, he's divvied up his time into 1 daily killing, and mourning/jamming at his abandoned condo, and perving on the 12 year girl and chatting with Winston. He has a crow, he sees what the crow sees but it's optional, an extra, in addition to his own sight. Ok, the Tory gang are managed by a sort of mariachi who is fucking his sister, seemingly Japanese. She is into occult stuff. She twigs the crow connection and surmises that the guys powers are linked to it. Candyman works for the mariachi. The denouement is a tussle between the guy and mariachi and the crow and Candyman and Jap girl and Winston. There's some humour, there's some violent crimes, there's kissing, there's rain, and there's night. It's all with the added movie triv bonus of knowing Brandon Lee died during a shootout scene, so you're always intrigued. Maybe it's 7/10. They should remake this with Timothy Chalamet.
  5. Wouldn't be too sure about that. https://kirg.org.uk/new-malden/yvonne-tracey-elected-to-kingston-council/ Donated first year £8k allowances to charity. https://www.kingston.gov.uk/news/article/342/yvonne-tracey-elected-to-kingston-council-in-green-lane-and-st-james-by-election Beat Tories into 4th place.
  6. You'll find a few articles from a couple of years ago where that nefarious prick Steve Bannon did a tour of Europe to teach the right wing how to buy an election. It's all coming to fruition now. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/jun/06/steve-bannon-far-right-radicalise-europe-trump
  7. I don't regard it as much different if the LDs get in. They did a deal with them once, they'd do it again, fuck that, I'm not giving them my vote just to see them later hand it to the Tories again. The LDs are political parasites. Stand for nothing. Absolutely fucking nothing.
  8. I'm torn between voting for Labour and voting Green. I'm in the St Ives constituency and it's never ever returned a Labour winner, it's always been Tory or Tory Lite. The highest vote share was 38% back in 1918. I know it's be throwing my vote away this year, but I'm tempted to try and show there is a future for them in Cornwall, that there's generation X and millennials who have no intention of voting Tory or Lib Dem.
  9. Agree, in terms of numbers and quality we are basically complete. Luck is a cunt, and in a few cases we are prodding lady luck with a stick and she's reacted. Matip is not a friend of lady luck, and we stuck with him. Ok, fine, but we're not surprised when he gets injured. That said, we play with 2 CBs and we have a pool of Van Dijk, Konate, Gomez, Matip, and Quansah. That's a pretty high quality pool of players. Midfield is harder to calculate as there's a few players who have feet in two player groups. IE, Trent and Elliott. Again, Thiago is not a lucky player, we get what we expect there, no complaints. But working on the assumption of 3 midfield spots, we're well-stocked with Trent, Elliott, Endo, Bajcetic, Thiago, MacAllister, Jones, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai. Forwards, here we buck the luck trend as Salah's injury record is ridiculous. Would we rather have Thiago 50% more, or Salah 50% less? On balance, our bad luck with Thiago and Matip gets balanced by Salah's good luck. Again, 3 positions from Salah, Nunez, Diaz, Gakpo, Elliott, Jota. So...ah dunno, I think 'squad strengthening' isn't realistic with these numbers and this quality. Sure, we could replace players and we could even buy 6 months early in some cases, which MAY happen this window with Thiago but it seems Matip will sign a new contract.
  10. We'll hit 4 against them at the Cottage. Very lucky today, every ball bounced their way, and keeper pulled off a couple of great saves. Absolute shite.
  11. We could do it too, but there's usually a reason the player isn't going for crazy money yet. Remember they signed Baleba to replace Caceido? Fair to say he's not hit the ground running and it's likely he's a work in progress who they will be patient with. Same with Igor and Buonanotte.
  12. I think we all need to remember what the plan was at the beginning of the season, to qualify for the CL. We don't need to thrash around in the water trying to win the league against a club with 100+ FFP breaches. We could spend £200m this month and still lose to them by a point, or 10 points. We're on track to beat them next season, when we calmly and rationally add to the squad and move a couple more on.
  13. I'd rather be out of the FA Cup than have to listen to us on the BBC again.
  14. Ha ha ha! Officer I'd like to report a murder, yes, you'll find the body of Benjamin White near the corner flag, Curtis Jones was seen running from the scene
  15. I asked my ma for Sauvage Elixir for Xmas and she got me the original. Bit gutted. Honestly, it's night and day. I was in a lift on holiday and I smelt this amazing scent and asked the bloke what he was wearing and it was Elixir. I've since ordered a tester spray and it's confirmed it, gorgeous.
  16. The Bitcoin spot ETF is poised to happen within hours, that's the noise. Billions will pump in. A rising tide raises all boats, so shitcoins will rise, some exponentially, it's a lottery but it is what it is.
  17. Could also be that they know many of their voters are postal voters, whereas the younger lot tend not to be, and are less likely to want to queue to vote in the cold. Could also be a complete ruse to throw people off the scent of a snap May election.
  18. I wish she'd trip over and accidentally piss in my mouth.
  19. I hope Robbo never reads the first couple of pages of this thread.
  20. Are we assuming all visitors to this place are nonces? Don't think the DA is going to make that stick.
  21. Oddly, both of these statements are true: I'd be delighted to keep Jones I'd be delighted to sell Jones to Arsenal for £60m
