I may be missing something with Henderson but it felt like we were playing with 10 men when he was on the pitch. He made sure he was marked when we had the ball, and marked space when we didn't. When he did get the ball he wanted rid ASAP even if it put others under pressure although mainly sideways.

He made a couple of mistake today but that's gonna happen and his team mates backed him up. But he bailed his teammates out too so all is good. He isn't the finished article but he would my choice as VVDs partner long term and from the sounds of it Virg thinks the same. Also that tackle was a thing of beauty.

Keown made a good point on football focus that big virg went straight to Gomez after Palace game and hugged him. He obviously sees him as a partner he can work with think that will mean a lot think Lovren will be behind Gomez when fit

That 2nd half display especially after we lost many was arguably as good as the first in that we all know we can blow teams away in a 30 minute period, but I didn’t think we had that 2nd half defensive display in us. The diving ban rule is bullshit, you have to make it a red on the pitch if you are going to ban players after the event.
