  1. About as good a draw as we could have wished for, happy with that.
  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/horse-racing/56435950 Cashed out for £250k according to BBC. Not bad from a fiver I suppose
  3. Had it to win by 7 or more...bloody hell!!
  4. Hopefully "they don't win it with that defence" will be Ferdinands "Ole's at the wheel" for this season
  5. That just sums up how things are going for Mane at the minute, comes at him at any other height and its a goal. What a ball by Thiago too, had a really good 25 minutes.
  6. I really don't understand why they gave the 21st June date as a date to lift all restricitions. It has just made a lot of people think they don't need to carry on acting sensibly and doing what we have been and is if come 21st June Covid will not exist, I mean for fucks sake there is a petiton to make that date a bank holiday so we can all get together and have a knees up and a cuddle because it will be safe to do so from that day. They could have quite easily done the roadmap without that date and just seen what happens 5 weeks after the pubs were opened; I mean there will be a lot of people who won't social distance like they would in the pub simply because they believe the government has told them Covid is on its arse and will be gone in 5 weeks so whats the difference.
  7. I know the ball is supposed to spin in India but this pitch is a disgrace. I love Test cricket and pitches like this have no place in it. You can say England have batted poorly but Root took 5-8 I think it was.
  8. Is missing a few extra weeks classroom time really going to damage kids that much? My lad is 12 and for what it's worth my take on it is they had the perfect opportunity with how holidays have fallen to vaccinate teachers over half term and the 2 weeks before March the 8th; then they have 3 weeks to do a phased return starting with those that need to go back first, then everyone back after Easter, hopefully by which time most teachers are vaccinated.
  9. Is there no VAR in this game? I'm not saying the ball stayed in play just it didn't even appear to be looked at.
  10. The trouble is the rules have gone the way of NFL with regards ambiguity around the rules; therefore the refs/VAR can apply different interpretations of the rule to suit the decision they have come up. The pundits seem to be more accepting of the reasons given for the decisions as the weeks go on. If you moan about the decision it's seen as sour grapes and an incident where you have been helped by VAR is brought up as if this makes it ok.
  11. This is the shitty social media driven world we live in now. Before there would be the odd person who would spout bullshit at a game and more often than not would be shouted down by those around them. Now though you have "fans" on all types of social media who like Stig says have no idea what is means to support us, and some who probably even support our rivals. Add to this the media then jumps on these posts and the narrative is Liverpool fans disgruntled with Klopp, which couldn't be further from the truth.
  12. Really sorry to hear that mate, no words just look after yourself
  13. I could be wrong but I thought the ref have a free kick, I think the confusion was because when it when yo VAR Vardy grabbed the ball to take the penalty, but I think this was more gamesmanship/trying to influence the decision
  14. I don't think anyone would doubt this season has been a clusterfuck for many reasons but that can't outweigh what these players have done the past few seasons. Losing a European Cup final and all the goings on surrounding the final then a year later lifting the trophy. Narrowly missing out on the league with a record points total, then winning the league the following year and producing some amazing displays and comeback. I would say it is more of a case that out mentality monsters are deep down human beings.
  15. I had to self isolate in December, I claimed for the grant through the app and it was in my account 2 days later
  16. Getting my jab next week as I am classed as a "care worker" (I am Payroll Manager for a group of nurseries). Been issued a letter by the directors saying I'm eligible and I just need to book my appointment at a vaccination centre. I have no problem with having the jab and am more than happy to go get it, the way my brain works though I overthink things, which is where you good people come in: Is it selfish/morally wrong for me to book myself in for the jab? I do work in a nursery but only really come into contact with the office manager and directors and then I am more than 2 metres apart. The directors are pushing for everyone to have the jab, but I don't want to take the place of someone who needs it more than me. Would just like to know what others think, as I am a nightmare and stuff like this really messes with my head for overthinking.
  17. Dad of one of the nursery nurses as work has been in hospital with it the past few weeks, in a bad way and on a ventilator. He came round a bit apparently over the weekend and was able to face time, but has taken a turn for the worse the past few days. She got a call at work today they have done tests and his lungs are scarred beyond repair due to it and was told to prepare for the worst. Poor lass was in absolute bits understandably. It was so heart breaking to see, and really puts things in perspective, all the times I've moaned I fancy a pint down the pub, how selfish it is when people are going through this everyday.
