I've read a few reviews on here calling CHiPS shit. And they're right, it's not Gone with the Wind. You have to watch it in the right mindset. I watched it about 5 beers in, with a mate of mine. And we giggled like schoolboys all the way through. Still, it won't beat one of the ultimate 'funny when tipsy, bro movie' of the last year or two, which is Dirty Grandpa.

Done right, pineapple on a pizza is excellent. But if it's not cooked properly so the sweetness and caramelisation and stickiness happens, then it's pretty grim. Maybe, mate. Like I say, I can't say without some research. I honestly don't think that FSG are making money out of the club on a season by season basis. I think they will make their money from the appreciated value of the club when it comes time to sell. I think we have definitely been frugal over the last while, I'm not sure if that's smart or not. I guess the proof of the pudding is in the eating. If we have 'saved' money to spend now we are back in the European Cup, then now is the time to prove it. If we mine out again, then it's strongly worded letter to the Observer.

Honestly, I don't know anymore. I used to know all of that stuff off hand, but for one reason or another - life kicking me in my nuts - I've become a little detached. I suspect we are one of the top 5 wage payers in the league, which I don't believe is good enough. We have been very shy on that front. Paying big fees is only part of it. I have to say, Klopp being around helps swing things a little more in our favour but we are still swimming against the tide. Some of that is the 'fault' of our owners, some of it is just the cold hard fact that other clubs have serious backers. We can bleat all we like, but when you are up against two of the world's major oligarch types, who are happy to throw good money after bad oil at players, it's hard to compete regardless of how much you try. We shouldn't, in my view, be the guys who demand that our owners spend as much as the oligarchs. We need to make gains in other areas.

I would imagine that he means that without civilisation, he would be unable to have achieved any of the things he did in life. I would further imagine that he is saying that he should pay for that privilege having benefited from it. I am certain he would have done so under any party, so that's where my imagination ends. I would suggest that it is likely he means that by voting for Tories he is supporting the implementation of cuts to important services that he does not rely on but others do. Those others may well have contributed to the society that made it possible for him to become who he is. I would imagine.

Talking of condemning us to Tory rule, let's not forget that two out of the last three elections have resulted In a hung parliament, giving first the Lib Dems and then DUP a seat at the table and condemning us to Tory rule. I'm not sure even the sole benefit of FPTP is even a thing anymore. They might as well twist; sticking isn't doing too much for them.

I expect they would feel roughly the same as a Conservative voter, considering that they had more MPs vote for the wars than any other party. That is to say, somewhat ashamed I would hope. The difference between those two parties runs much deeper than that, but the war is on both main party's hands. The Hillsborough comment was a little crass, no doubt, but surely you can see why the hatred runs deep for some people. Especially those amongst the areas the Conservatives destroyed and targeted, be it Hillsborough or the many other things?

I'm not sure. I've gone through periods of thinking he is in it for the book sales, but then logic would surely dictate that if he was doing that, he would pick a subject matter that has a wider following: 9/11, Aliens, etc. So I think he might well genuinely be the 'natural scientist' that he claims. Natural science, according to him, is 'believing the things you can see'. Yeah, I know what you mean. That said, there's always the ol' adage about facts and hard evidence being the most important thing. If there's hard evidence, proof, etc; it's hard to dismiss. It's not particularly difficult to dismiss a lot of the conspiracy theories that are on the fringe. To be fair, most of the non-fringe ones too. Evidence and logic generally win out in the end, for most people.

Ach, I make no claims about whether or not he's going to do well. I was just objecting to the idea that he's not got more in his proverbial locker than pace and industriousness. What I do know is that we need a squad with depth, he would certainly add that. Whether that's worth the money, I guess that's up to the manager. I'm glad I'm not making the call.

I don't think anybody suggested that pace alone is much use; the point I made was that he has more in his locker than that. That said, and I agree of course, even though pace alone is not enough, the importance of having pace as a contributory attribute for an attacking player - especially a wide attacking player - should not be underestimated. It's incredibly valuable. If you add end product in terms of many goals and many assists to that pace, along with a good work ethic, then you have a good player. If Klopp is convinced that he's worth the £30m or more that we would have to pay for him, then I'm certainly looking forward to see how much he can offer next season. I watched him before he joined Chelsea and then wiped him from my memory.

It's certainly my favourite. There's a guy called Eric Dubai who has become a bit of a poster boy for the Flat Earthers. It's really wonderful that they put so much effort into it. I once thought they were joking, but they're incredibly serious. It is beautiful. It's indicative of the mentality that a lot of Conspiracy Theorists have, and in the extreme cases what they are willing to believe.
