  1. Just tried to get tickets for me and my lad for the Southampton game, but it wouldn't allow me to get him a ticket, it's as if it hadn't registered he'd been to the Norwich game. Bit frustrating like
  2. Worst part of this is going to be the constant commentary waffling on about it for the entirety of every single game. If there was set in stone objective rules for when the blue card comes out then I'm maybe for it, but if it in any way has influence from the referees opinions in the moment then it can get fucked. Can't think of many reasons why they think it would be a good thing to bring in to a match. There's been a few times where 2 soft yellows have ended up with a player sent off which is overkill. Professional foul? Not considered a dangerous play but it causes an unfair advantage. Dissent? It's obvious the refs are a bit soft and don't like being told off Diving? It's not a foul so shouldn't be carded as one. Any other reasons?
  3. Tried looking at the stadium plan but I can't see if it says how the seats will be divided. Where do we reckon the best seats will be?
  4. They're probably grooming the Girona manager that they already own for the job.
  5. Who do you think has the massive presence?
  6. Hopefully he scores another goal like he did 3 years ago
  7. Only thing more embarrassing than that goal is hearing those cunts copy most of our songs.
  8. Need to get these here, winds already out of their sails, can get another here if we push
  9. Well it's slightly easier to be optimistic than at any other time I've supported the club. We're in a good position and are looking for someone to keep the buzz going. Previously we've been deep in the shit, hoping the next manager moves us out of the shit instead of even deeper into it.
  10. They've gone from being level on points with Arsenal and Man city, to being a point ahead of Aston Villa, who play later, so will probably drop out of the top 4. Spursy indeed
  11. Could be a number of things, grandchildren, health (seems to have lost weight, wedding ring falling off etc), maybe he's had a friend of a similar age get ill and he's realised life's too short and he needs a break to enjoy his life outside of football a bit more. Maybe he didn't want to leave us in the shit with a big rebuild ahead and he thought it'd take a bit longer than it did to get us back to the top before leaving. It is funny that there's been multiple times in the last few years that we've had a bad run and Jurgen looked rough, and the rumours were going around that he was burnt out and thinking of leaving, until he addressed it directly in press conferences to say he's fine. Now just as we're thinking he looks refreshed and really happy with the new team, he tells us he's burnt out and needs to leave.
  12. Hopefully it's just Klopp having a dabble in the Pep Guardiola mind games handbook and he makes a miraculous recovery just in time for the game.
  13. Genuinely buzzing my tits off that this is actually a conversation we're having. Mad that we're talking about Trent of all people having to wait to come back into the team, before this season started I would have thought anyone suggesting such a thing has been sniffing glue.
  14. I think ultimately we're looking to get in early with the next generation of top manager, at the moment if we were looking at who we think is going to be the next Guardiola or Klopp (next great young manager wise, not personality or style) then Xabi is going to be most people's guess, even when taking any sentimentality out of the equation. If the time line fell slightly differently with Rogers falling short and Jurgen being a free agent at the same time then the last 9 years looks very different for us and also looks very different for another club. As it stands Jurgen is leaving at the same time most of the other top clubs have a settled manager, so we either pull the trigger now, or wait and he potentially ends up being a great manager elsewhere.
  15. I thought the same thing. But maybe Klopp just saw Curtis weaknesses and wanted him to focus on that in order to make him a fully rounded midfielder. A lesser manager might have just let Curtis play to his strengths week in week out, and he'd do a decent job at it, but ultimately he'd be a one trick pony who is good creatively going forward but was technically limited and tends to lose possession often, and that wouldn't suit the way an elite team would want to play. Now we've got a player with that natural creativity, but has also gone up several levels in terms of game intelligence, meaning he knows when to hit that switch and burst forward, and when to focus on retaining possession and waiting for the better opportunity to come.
  16. Based on that performance I'm starting to think the timing of his announcement has been perfect. Could have lit a big fire under the arses of the fans and players to push this one over the line and give him the send off he deserves, and we get to fully appreciate these final few months. "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them" This is one way of doing that.
  17. I don't doubt his ability. I do wonder if he's likely to stay in 2nd gear to avoid getting another injury before getting a fat signing on fee and salary at his next club.
  18. It's a possibility, if we can play like that against them again in a few weeks.
  19. Trying not to be going over the top and getting carried away with the hype, or making comparisons to great players. But he doesn't look out of place at all in what is an incredible Liverpool team, he's exceeded any reasonable expectations that we might have had of him. Got a bright future this kid.
