This thread will probably pass over 200 pages and at the end of it all we will have diddly squat . This was the transfer window when we couldn't afford not to buy somebody.... I'm not arsed about missing out to Chelsea but surely out there there was a Fowler a Litmanen or a Larsson to be got. I remember when we signed Litmanen and everyone was fuck me how did that happen....that season we won the treble. A player that would have got everyone buzzing and you sort of felt yeah we can get fourth here. Now I really can't see it happening at all and you have to wonder if at the end of the season we finish 5th 6th or 7th do I really want to fork out over £700 quid when the club is not arsed and watch us turn into a sort of that other great American white hopes club Aston Villa.
