  1. I'd go with this as well and bring Little Phil on second half of any other attackers are playing shit.
  2. Chelsea, Real, Bayern Munich, Scum (under Ferguson). They all use coach's who's role it is to drill the team as a defensive unit (and individually). Rogers has got Pascoe and Marsh, neither of which have experience of coaching teams at the top level. A new coach who could assist Rogers with the defensive side of our game would make a huge difference. It's a moot point anyway because Rogers has already said he won't be bringing one in. Also he hasn't bought a DM in his 3 years here so he clearly doesn't even acknowledge we have issues in this area.
  3. Yep some do actually. Some managers (Rogers) feel they don't need someone to specifically help with the defensive side of the game which is going to be one of the reasons why he gets sacked.
  4. No it isn't. A defensive coach is not employed to simply train the defenders in the squad (which we clearly need anyway), it's to train the entire team how to defend in certain situations. Rogers is fucking clueless at this (eg, see his approach to defending corners. One game he's got every player defending with no outlet, the next game he's leaving 3 upfront).
  5. I'd give him another season based on the following criteria: - if he swallows his pride and takes on a defensive coach. - if he accepts he has no control over transfers. If he can't accept those terms (which he won't) then he can fuck off as he's proven to be an absolute disaster in those two areas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Nope, he's a wingback which works if you have a decent holding midfielder and CB's who are good positionally. We have neither. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Completely agree with this. We've wasted so much cash it's sickening. In the summer we had such a big opportunity to strengthen the first 11 and we fucked it right up. 3 quality first team players would have made such a big difference. Instead we've gone about 4 steps back. Rotten to the fucking core we are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Do you really think we played better than we have for weeks last night? Did we have a shot on target apart from the goal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Last night was the first ever time I've been embarrassed to be a Liverpool supporter. Given the occasion and the stakes that performance was horrific. There's so much wrong at the moment it's frightening. Last season was remarkable but it's abundantly clear it's going to be the exception, not the rule under Rogers. Tactics, starting 11, subs and signings have been diabolical this season. I've been thinking about some of the ludicrous comments Rogers has made about our players and it's no wonder we're in such a mess: Allen - "the Welsh Xavi". Fuck me. Borini - "he's a player who'll get the supporters on the edge of their seat". He can't even get on the edge of a seat on the subs bench. Sakho - "The Killer". Can't get a game and has a mysterious injury. Henderson - tried to get rid of him to Fulham and is now Vice Captain. Lovren - "A natural leader". Really? Does the fact he can't play football not count. Agger - made him Vice Captain and then managed him out of the club. Shelvey - "he's got absolutely everything and is going to be a key player for the club". Sold him. Lallana - made him his primary target this summer. He rarely starts. Lucas - tried to get rid in the summer and he's now the first name on the team sheet. I'm sure there's a shit load more examples as well. Looking at those comments though, is it any wonder we're in such a mess at the moment. He hardly inspires confidence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ming GJ. skrtel. Toure. Moreno Can. Allen Sterling. Coutinho lallana lambert Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Totally agree with this. It's absolutely sickening looking at the amount of money we wasted...again. One fucking player in the starting 11 yesterday. It's pretty damming of our summer transfers. Still, at least we got 3 points and an improved performance. Same team against Leicester for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. We've got absolutely no chance of winning this game. Be interesting to see if he does rest Gerrard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Spot on. This has been the case for fucking years though. A quality DM should have been one of three must buys (along with a CB and striker). That would have strengthened the starting 11 and ensured a title challenge. Instead we buy a shit CB (to supplement the other 4 average ones), no DM and a striker who doesn't strike. In any business apart from football that kind of incompetence wouldn't be allowed. It's embarrassing, truly embarrassing. The fact we did the same thing a few years ago makes it even more sickening (and a few years before that as well). Back on topic, I like Lallana, he's look a good player however our focus and money should have been elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. We did better than I thought we would. Fact of the matter is they have far better players than us. There isn't one player in our first 11 who would get in theirs. Can looked decent I thought whereas Lovren produced one of the worst CB performances I've ever seen. Things will improve when Sturridge is back....and we buy Reus in Jan. 15. We have got absolutely fuck all chance of getting a result against these. I've never been so positive that we'll lose. In fact, I'm lumping a shit load of coin on it. It's free money, tax free. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yep totally agree with this. I would have spent all the budget on 3 players in order to strengthen the first 11. A CB, DM and a Striker. How Rogers (or the transfer committee) have not improved any of these positions is absolutely scandalous. All the other positions could have been filled by the rest of the squad and the youth team in shit competitions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I'd be happy with that but can't see Rogers starting Allen and Can. I actually wouldn't mind Borini being given a run of games with Mario up front. At least he'll get in the box and make some space for Mario. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Rogers needs to stop tinkering with the team so much. Same formation as last season with two up top (even if that's Borini and Balo). Get Borini doing the pressing with Lallana and Sterling doing the same. Familiarity is what brought us success last year and for some odd reason Rogers has lost sight of that. 19. Ayre and the transfer committee get 6 out of 10 from me. Sign a striker (who's half as good as Suarez) before the window closes and that goes up to 9 out of 10. The simple fact of the matter is we're fucked when Sturridge gets injured and we've had all summer to prevent that problem.
  20. Haha, same here mate. I'm at the beach counting down the hours until I can leave the wife and kids and get on the Guinness at 3pm. I probably won't even remember the game but at the time I'm sure it will be great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Score first and we should win by a couple. Concede first and we'll draw. Our midfield still makes me nervous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Shite performance from start to finish. A lot of this is on Rogers though. Ridiculous team to start the game. Gerrard hasn't got a defensive bone in his body so playing him in that position is just suicide. I don't want to see Gerrard in our midfield anymore, he needs to rotate with Coutinho (who I think has been shite this season). With Lucas seemingly fucked we are desperate for a new midfielder. If we don't get one I think we can kiss goodbye to a top 4 spot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Boss performance that. We did much better than I thought we'd do. Very unlucky not to get a point. Beat Chelsea and we'll finish top. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It's gonna be a very interesting game. Personally I think we'll do well to come out with a point. We've had some good results recently and played some brilliant football at times but it's generally been against shit teams or teams in disarray. These fuckers are a totally different proposition though who have recently beaten Munich away. Whilst this game alone clearly won't decide our fate this season if we do win it will convince Rogers and the team that we can actually win the title this season. That will be worth more than the 3 points on offer. Lets do the rich cunts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Yep, totally agree and that's why I'm so concerned by our injuries and lack of depth. As many people have mentioned there have been some odd results this season and we really need to take advantage whilst we have the chance. Saying that, at least we're in the mix this year over the Christmas period! It makes a change.
